Tis the season to be jolly if you re in the mood to be a happy boater and with plenty on the go, make sure you don t work too hard from Monday to Friday, so that come weekend time, you re relaxed and ready. This month, boaters in the Mother City can look forward to the newly revamped Cape Town Boat Show taking place at the CTICC from October We ll be giving away custom tickets via our social media so make sure you don t miss some free entry by liking us on Facebook.com/LeisureBoating. You should also flip forward in this edition to page 26 and read all about the exciting activities in store for showgoers. And those in the Harties area, you don t have to feel left out as the inaugural 2014 Summer Lifestyle and Boat Show will be taking place on the last weekend of the month at the Islands Estate. This action-packed festival provides you with the perfect option to try before you buy on many of the craft and it s unlike any other show in South Africa more on page 62. I feel like I ve already said so much, but like the cheesy Verimark advertising guy always says: But wait, there s more! October is the unofficial (but endorsed by us) start to the boating calendar in a warm up to 2015 which in itself is a scary thought since I only just got used to writing our current year. Wakeboarding events and tours will be kicking off and if you re into skiing, there will be an abundance to see and do, especially if you live in the KZN area. Local hero Travis Fisher is at it again this season to grow the sport of waterskiing and with many a competition lined up, you ve no reason to miss it as there are comps for everyone from novice to pro. Last but not least, we will, ourselves, be holding a boat party on the banks of an undisclosed location closer to the end of the year. It s all hush-hush at the moment but in due course we will be revealing all through our social media, so look out for your invite to come experience the ultimate boating lifestyle.
