2 WELCOME Welcome to the 2011 Torridge Culture and Leisure summer holiday programme. Its packed full of fantastic opportunities and experiences for the youth of Torridge to enjoy over the summer months whether you enjoy archery, badminton, sailing or swimming its all in here for you. This full programme can cater for the Don t Stop Me Now cards so there is no excuse for not getting out and making the most of your time off school. We want everyone to have a chance at taking part in Cultural activities, sport and leisure. Visit our website to find out about sports clubs, groups and organisations in the Torridge area. We are committed to the youth of the district for their health, leisure and sporting activities and enjoyment - making Torridge a great place to live, work and play. This commitment has resulted in this extensive summer programme for youngsters aged three to 16 throughout the district. No matter your location, ability or interests there will be something for you to enjoy - whether it be for the more energetic like trampolining, or in the pool, or for the artistic with pottery and graffiti workshops. You could even try something completely different and perhaps discover a hidden talent. I would encourage everybody to make use of this excellent programme. Work with multi-coloured paper pulp to mould the ears, nose and chin to achieve a unique look to your figure. We will explore different ways to print from block prints to linocuts to create patterns and motifs for your cards and boxes. By printing these onto larger sheets we can make some papers to fold using origami techniques to create a gift box with lid.
