Flisvos Boarder Package: Boarder package is an exclusive Flisvos product with access to any of our equipment at any time and complimentary activities, for a total sport experience even in lower wind conditions. It includes: - The latest RRD Boards* of the season 2016/ The latest Neil Pryde Rigs of the season 2016/2017 fully rigged and ready to use, with NP Vario adjustable harness lines - SUP boards - Tandem Windsurf Boards - Surf boards - Low Wind Activities (Low Wind Free Style Lesson, SUP Tour, SUP Work-out, Sub Wing, Beach Volley, SUP Polo, Snorkelling Tour) - Body boards and skim boards *For board reservations please note your board category (S = litre /M = litre /L = litre /XL = litre) in order to help us to better manage our equipment, and be able to guarantee that one board of your category will be available for you. Nevertheless, with your reservation you have access to all available boards outside your preferred category. Customers with pre-paid reservations have first priority when choosing equipment. After the course you get a 20% discount (not applicable with other discounts) in your first rental. Beginner lessons take place in the shallow flat water in front of the station with safe, side-onshore wind and top-end RRD and Neil Pryde training equipment. When a group has less than 3 people, we offer you 3 hours of private lesson instead of 6 hours of group lesson. For really young kids, free training hours should be supervised by you. The kid needs to weight at least 25 kilos and be a good swimmer. For specific language we recommend private lessons (62 /hour). 4. The modern instruction concept and the newest material (RRD Easy Rider Boards and light rigs from Neil Pryde) guarantee fast learning. At the end of the course you will be able to windsurf under light and moderate wind conditions. You will have your first experiences on a fun board, try out planning, surfing with foot straps and a harness. You will also have the possibility to obtain the international VDWS license. 5 Flisvos Junior and Teen Windsurf Camps Together with our young Flisvos pro rider Lennart Neubauer (12 years) and our professional VDWS instructors we offer in October to all kids and teens ideal introduction into Funboard windsurfing. Each week a beginner and an advanced group run parallel during training. The aim of the camp is to have lots of fun together, while as much as possible to learn! Events: From 04/06/17 to 09/06/17 and from 01/10/17 to 06/10/17 JUNIOR Windsurf Camp (6-12 years). From 11/06/17 to 17/06/17 and from 08/10/17 to 13/10/17 TEENS Windsurf Camp (12-17 years). 7 Introduction to the spot Flisvos Sport Club is situated on the island of Naxos in Greek Cyclades. The location, St George's Bay, is a few minutes walk from Chora, the island's main city and port. It includes a the Flisvos seaside Studios and Apartments, the laguna windsurf and catamaran center, the Flisvos Beach Café and restaurant, the premium windsurf and bike center with shop and a road shop in town, all managed by one team. The island of Naxos has been voted as one of the most beautiful islands in the world by Trip Advisor's Traveller's Choice. The biggest of the Cyclades Islands, situated in the heart of the Aegean Sea, Naxos has so much to offer that, no matter how long you stay, you will still have things that remain undiscovered: secluded beaches, hidden mountain villages, ancient temples, castles and so many more. The island's size allows you to choose between a vibrant night life and a relaxed holiday. The local production of vegetables, cheeses, meat and fish will leave you speechless. All that and a lot more is the reason why people around the world keep coming back to Naxos after their first visit. So be careful; it is addictive. Windsurfing Naxos offers you a unique diverse spot with waves and a flat water laguna, which makes it the perfect spot for every level. What s unique: you can start your windsurfing session from two different surf centres. The Laguna Surf Center is on a small bay, ideal for windsurfing. Inside the bay the water is shallow with a wide standing area and most of the times flat a perfect windsurfing playground for beginners and freestylers. The reef that protects the laguna from the waves has a 7m opening from where you can exit to the open sea. There, the wave spot gives the opportunity to more advanced windsurfers to wave ride. The station is equipped with the latest RRD boards, RRD school sails and SUP boards, Neil Pryde sails with RDM mast and X3 rigs and a tandem windsurf board. Laguna offers equipment rental as well as windsurf private or group lessons for all levels, in English, German, Greek, Italian and French. With our VDWS instructors, you can get your windsurfing license after a 6 hour course. The station is equipped with special equipment for children. Our sport team is composed by young professionals from all around Europe, ready to assist you with anything you need and make your visit an unforgettable experience. The Laguna center (Premium and Bike center from 09:00) is open from 10:00 to 19:00 in high season and from 10:00 to 18:00 in low season. The wind comes mostly from the North, side onshore from the right. This north wind is traditionally called the Meltemi, and it starts from May until October, mostly from the morning until sunset. For lower wind conditions, the center offers complimentary alternative activities to its customers. These activities include a motorboat and snorkeling tour to a ship wreck, SUP tours, SUP yoga and work out sessions, low wind free style lessons, sea bungee, beach volley tournaments and many more. On the station you can find a chill out area and shadow spots, suitable for children. A small refreshment bar, showers and changing rooms are also available. A 5 minute walk away (400 m on the beach) from the Laguna you will find the Flisvos Premium Surf Center with its marble courtyard and you start directly next to the Beach Café into the wave spot, with waves between 1m and 2,5m breaking on offshore reefs. Here you can choose between our high-end premium equipment: 20 RRD LTD boards and 30 RRD Rigs with 100% carbon mast and boom. In our Premium Center you can also rent SUP boards, surf boards, body boards and skin boards. Wave surfing is possible in St. George bay often just before sunset. Equipment In our sport club, we love equipment as much as you! We make sure to update our equipment several times during the season, to provide you with the latest boards and sails, even before they are on the market! The station is equipped by three Hobie Cats, a Hobie Cat 16 and two Hobie Cat 15. The catamarans are available for rental but we also offer private or group lessons for all levels, in English and German. With the help of one of our experienced VDWS certified instructors, you can get your Cat License after finishing your course. Then, you can rent one of our catamarans and sail around the beautiful bay of St. George on your own, with your friends or family. If you don't want to sail, an instructor can sail with you around the bay, or even on a day trip to the island of Paros. Mountain Biking Naxos is a paradise for mountain bikers; you can explore the whole island on your bike. In Flisvos Sport Club you can find the latest Ghost mountain bikes (SE 8000 or Kato 7) equipped with Shimano XT components and disc brakes to rent and cycle around the island on your own. A variety of mountain bike guided tours is available for you, no matter what level of cycler you are. You can choose an easy evening ride along the coast while enjoying the sunset or a challenging bike tour until the top of Mount Zas combined with a hiking tour. Our bike guide will take you to amazing beaches, lovely mountain villages, to ancient temples and will join you for wonderful meals in small traditional taverns. For guests that are staying in Flisvos accommodation, cruiser bikes are available for cycling around the city. For the young ones, there are kid bikes and child seats. The bike center is open from 9:00 to 19:00 in high season and from 9:00 to 18:00 in low season. Shopping All the latest fashion as well as water sports equipment is available in our two surf shops: RRD, Neil Pryde, Dakine, Mystic, Protest, Rip Curl, Tshotsh, ION, Cool Shoes and many more. In our Premium Center you will find the Seaside Surf Shop, while in 2015 we opened our brand new Road Shop, a place where you can buy your windsurf, kite or surf equipment, used or new, repair your boards and sails, check out the latest fashion or just chill out. And if you find your next board or sail, you can just try it out in our station before you buy it. Pretty cool, isn t it? Flisvos Beach Café and Restaurant Eat, drink & be merry The Flisvos Beach Café and Restaurant are located right on the stunning St.George beach; one of the loveliest sandy beaches on the island where sea and sky meet in perfect harmony! It is the perfect place to spend the whole day from early morning to late at night with a healthy breakfast, a relaxed lunch, refreshing juices and a delightful dinner against the background of a beautiful sea view. Our aims are to offer you the marvelous tastes of Naxian products combined with international specialties and to satisfy your every taste bud. Our 17 apartments and studios were practically rebuilt from scratch, with new bathrooms and kitchens. The studios can be with one or two bedrooms, suitable for families with kids. Your stay includes breakfast at the Beach Café every morning, with a rich buffet of local products. The reception of the Kite Center, the Flisvos Kite Café, with its marvellous view over the spot are located in the northern building of the Hotel Orkos Beach, just 150m away from the water.
