Boarding your coach at the pier, it's a 1-hour drive to the Park, which is located on 1,800 acres in the San Pasqual Valley area of San Diego. The Park houses a large array of wild and endangered animals. The free-range enclosures are home to such animals as cheetahs, gorillas, lions, giraffe, elephants, zebras and rhinos. The Park is also noted for its California condor breeding program, the most successful program of its kind in the country. Upon arrival, you will be on your own to explore the Park at your leisure, seeing the sites that are of most interest to you. There are several venues located within the Park where you can purchase food and beverages along with gift shops where you can pick up a souvenir of your visit. After approximately 4-hours spent discovering all this fantastic attraction has to offer, you will meet your escort and coach at the appointed location and time for the return transfer to the pier. Please note: Walking at the Park is at the guests' discretion; however, in order to view the various animal attractions extensive walking will be required. The tour is available to wheelchair guests who have a collapsible wheelchair, are able to make their own way on and off the coach and have a companion to assist them. 3 CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO CAB-002 CLEAR-BOTTOMED KAYAK AND SNORKEL EXPEDITION Duration: 3.00 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM Experience the beauty of Cabo San Lucas from above and below sea level during this scenic kayak and snorkeling tour on the Sea of Cortez. Depart the pier for the brief transfer to a beautiful beach. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety instructions and equipment, and begin your kayaking adventure. After embarking your kayak, you will be led by your guide into the Sea of Cortez, and paddle along the pristine beaches and secluded coves along the beautiful shores of Los Cabos. You will then kayak past some of Cabo's most famous and breathtaking landscapes, including the El Arco rock formation and a sea lion colony. Your transparent kayak will also enable you to observe Cabo's exquisite undersea beauty; colorful marine life and coral formations can be seen beneath you as you paddle through the sea. After approximately 45 minutes of kayaking, you will have an opportunity to enter the crystal-clear waters for a guided snorkeling adventure. Life vests, snorkeling equipment, soft drinks and water will be provided. Following your snorkeling session, you will return to the kayak launch at the beach, then re-board your van for the return drive to the pier. Please note: This tour is recommended only for guests in good physical condition. CAB-006 BEACH HORSEBACK RIDE Duration: 3.00 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM Indulge your senses with the fresh salt air and exquisite beauty of the Pacific Ocean during this scenic beach tour via horseback. Depart the pier for the scenic, 35-minute drive to one of Cabo's picturesque Pacific beaches. Upon arrival at a quaint seaside ranch, you will meet your guide, receive your safety and riding instructions, then set off on a leisurely, hour-long guided horseback ride along the cactus-lined beaches. Along the way, your beach ride will take you atop a sand dune where, from January through March, you may be able to spot migrant whales. After your ride, you will be served a complimentary beverage back at the ranch. Here, some time will be made available to explore the traditional desert houses, interact with the farm animals, and check out the boutique filled with local arts and crafts before re-boarding your van for the 35-minute return drive to the pier. 4 CAB-007 LAND'S END BOAT AND CABO VIEW Duration: 4.50 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM This diverse tour offers you the best of Cabo San Lucas by both sea and land. As you disembark the ship, your comfortable tour boat will be waiting for you, ready to transport you on a brief sail to Land's End, which lies at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula. Relax and enjoy a complimentary beverage as your vessel journeys across the deep blue waters of the Pacific Ocean while an experienced guide provides an informative narration about the history, ecology and major points of interest in the area. This beautiful, yet desolate stretch of rugged coastline offers up some truly spectacular views of towering granite cliffs, unusual rock formations and vast expanses of pristine beaches that are tucked away amongst rocky coves. Looking landward, you quickly become aware that this popular resort area lays claim to many miles of unspoiled beaches and impressive hotels. Reaching the sight of the famed "Los Arcos", the dramatic natural rock arch that rises starkly from the sea, you'll have time to take some photos and watch a sea lion colony at play before heading back to the pier for the second phase of your tour. Phase two begins by boarding your deluxe motor coach and heading into the heart of Cabo San Lucas to a local glass blowing factory. Here, you can observe the talents of native craftsmen as they use their artistry to design wonderful works of art. Afterwards, get a different perspective of the cape region, striking in appearance, from its arid desert setting and white sand coves, to its swaying palm trees and the deep blue sea. Your drive will next take you north to view the contrasting coastal scenery before arriving at San Jose del Cabo, a charming and picturesque town. Visit the local mission church and its shady tree-lined plaza. Explore with your guide the Zocalo area before stopping at Plaza Amelia Wilkes and at Mi Casa for a tequila sampling. Continuing on, take a break at the Sunset Da Giorgio restaurant, located atop Cabo Bello, where a refreshing cold beer or soda is served. From this cliff top location, take in the sweeping panoramic view of the Bay of Cabo San Lucas with its majestic rock formations rising from the turquoise blue sea. Heading back, your coach will pass through the small downtown sector of Cabo San Lucas before returning you to the pier. Please note: This tour includes limited walking over mostly flat surfaces; however, there are some steps to negotiate. The coaches and tour boats are not wheelchair accessible and guests must be able to get themselves on and off both means of transportation as the operators and guides are not able to provide assistance. Therefore, this tour may not be suitable for wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability. Depart the pier for the drive to your tequila-tasting event. Upon arrival, you will learn about tequila's history, and how its ingredients are grown, processed, fermented and distilled to create this famous libation. You will also discover tequila's many classifications, then have an opportunity to sample four of Mexico's finest tequilas. Your experience will include a snack consisting of fresh tortilla chips served with traditional guacamole dip. Following your tasting, you will receive a special certificate distinguishing you as a Tequila Ambassador before re-boarding your van for the return drive to the pier. 5 CAB-009 SPORTFISHING Duration: 4.00 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM Discover how a small fishing village came to be known as the Marlin Fishing Capital of the World during this sport fishing expedition to Baja California. Depart the pier with your captain and crew aboard a sport fishing boat powered by twin-turbo-charged engines. You will ride to the best fishing spots in Cabo, and have an opportunity to try your luck at hooking a big one. These waters are home to some of the world's finest fishing, and abound with marlin, mahi mahi, sailfish, wahoo, and tuna. Fighting one of these magnificent fish may prove to be an especially exciting experience. Your crew will handle your lines and bait, and provide you with assistance in landing your catch. Bottled water and light snacks will be provided. All fishing is on a catch-and-release basis only. Following your tour, you will be returned to the pier. CAB-010 THE ART DISTRICT OF SAN JOSE DEL CABO Duration: 3.50 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM Come and see for yourself the color and creativity flowing from the old adobe buildings in San José del Cabo s ever growing Art District. Enjoy a beautiful drive along the ocean front hotels and golf courses located on the stretch of highway that connects Cabo San Lucas to it's more colonial sister town. Along the way your guide will enlighten you with information regarding local culture, history and modern day Los Cabos. After your scenic drive you will be taken directly to the heart of downtown and the town square in San José del Cabo. Once here your guide will take you through this quaint town, stopping at the San José Mission, one of the oldest Missions in our peninsula, continuing on to the Arts District. where you will be lead through the district with stops in several galleries. Here you will be able to greet the artists and admire their work, while browsing through the galleries and perhaps even acquire something to your liking. There are many galleries featuring the works of artists and artisans from Mexico and beyond. Finishing your stroll through the district, you will have a final stop at the Baja Brewing Company where you will have the unique opportunity to learn from their brew master how beer is brewed as well as how to sample beer like the pros, as we do a tasting of the brew master favorite three picks. Having completed the structured activities with your guide, you will have some free time to wander off on your own to explore more of the Arts Districts galleries and souvenir shops or just hang out and relax at the brew-pub before meeting back with your guide at the designated meeting point for your return to Cabo San Lucas. Please note: Tour requires walking over uneven surfaces, there are 12 steps to climb for guests wishing to enter the Mission Church. Guests must be 21 years or older to drink alcoholic beverages. Tour includes three beer sampler, gourmet pizza slice and bottled water. All of the galleries within the district are within a 5 to 10 minute walk from one another. CAB-011 EVENING JAZZ & WINE CRUISE Duration: 2.50 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM Enjoy a fabulous and relaxing evening cruise aboard the "Tropicat", Cabo's most luxurious sailing catamaran. Your guide will greet you on the pier and lead you to your waiting catamaran where you will be welcomed aboard and receive a short safety briefing. Sit back and take in the ambiance of this smooth sailing 65' vessel as you glide across the surface of the water toward Land's End. Along the way, listent to today's contemporary Jazz music while taking advantage of the international bar that serves a variety of beer, wine, cocktails and assorted liquors. There will also be a taste-tempting array of hors d'oeuvres you can treat yourself to. After approximately 2-hours of sailing along Cabo Bay enjoying views of the twinkling lights of the distant shoreline and the stars overhead, you will head back to the pier where your enchanted evening cruise comes to its conclusion. Please note: This tour includes minimal walking. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability. 6 CAB-012 CAMEL & OUTBACK ADVENTURE Duration: 4.50 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM This Mexican Outback and Camel Safari is an unforgettable eco-adventure that combines spectacular views, delicious cuisine and an exciting beach camel ride. Meeting your guide at the pier, you will sign your waivers and then in small groups, board your off-road Unimog truck for the drive deep into the heart of the Baja outback and Rancho San Cristobal. En route, you'll receive a safety briefing and learn a bit about the surrounding outback. Upon arrival at Rancho San Cristobal, a knowledgeable local expert will lead you on a guided tour through untouched desert vegetation, pointing out the indigenous flora and fauna, making this a true eco experience. Next, you'll re-board your Unimog and take a short drive down an arroyo to a breathtaking beach that overlooks the Pacific and the location where your camels will be waiting. These gentle giants will then take you on a fun and unique caravan across the white sands of the beach. From your perch high atop the camel, you'll have excellent views of your surroundings and in the winter months, you'll want to keep an eye out for whales which are sometimes spotted off-shore. After you've dismounted your camel, your good times continue as you travel to a local ranch where you'll have a chance to catch your breath and savor some traditional Mexican food of hand-made tortillas, beans and salsas. Then it's time to head back to the pier, enjoying some breathtaking views of the Baja desert and endless stretches of virgin beach along the way. Please note: This tour includes approximately 90-minutes of moderate walking/standing, some of it over uneven natural surfaces and hilly terrain. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests, pregnant women, those suffering with back/neck problems or mobility concerns. Guests should be in reasonably good physical condition. Light-weight clothing; sun cap; sunglasses; sunscreen; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. No photography is allowed while on the camel, although pictures will be taken and available for sale after the ride. Minimum age to participate is six years-old and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. CAB-013 DOLPHIN SWIM Duration: 1.50 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 25, :30 PM This delightful dolphin swim offers small group sizing, optimizing your water time with the dolphins and ensuring you have the best possible opportunity to develop a close personal bond with your dolphin. Your guide will meet you at the pier and issue you your check-in pass, before making the short walk to the nearby dolphin facility. Upon arrival, you'll sign your waiver, receive your bracelet and then head off to change into your provided wet suit. Following that, you'll meet the trainers and have a short, interactive briefing that will introduce you to the fascinating world of dolphins. During this briefing, the staff will show you how to use special hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with them one-on-one. Then it's straight into the water where you'll discover all there is to know about dolphins from the best possible teachers - the dolphins themselves! Your quality time with the dolphins lasts approximately 40-minutes, during which you will have some time to interact with these inspirational animals as they swim around and beneath you, and even talk and flirt with you, all in the comfort and safety of a specially designed pool. This exceptional experience is intimate, exhilarating, enlightening and tender, all rolled into a swirl of shared laughter, caring and learning. All too soon, it's time to bid your new mammal friends farewell; however, they will surely have left a lasting impression on your heart and mind. Please note: This tour includes approximately 1-hour of easy walking/standing. The tour is available to wheelchair guests; however, wheelchairs are not allowed in the water with the dolphins. 7 HUATULCO, MEXICO HUT-001 BEACH & SNORKEL Duration: 2.50 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 28, :00 AM For the snorkeling enthusiast, this tour takes you to one of the premier locations in the blue-green waters that surround Huatulco. Meeting your guide on the pier, you'll select your equipment while receiving a snorkeling briefing and overview of the site. After boarding your transportation you'll travel a short distance to the stunningly beautiful La Entrega Beach, a dazzling crescent of white sand beach and aqua waters, set against a backdrop of lush greenery. This wonderfully tranquil and pristine spot features an enormous white coral plate that is home to a wide variety of amazing marine life. You'll have plenty of time to snorkel around the coral reef and relax and enjoy the gorgeous beach and warm translucent waters before it's time to head back to the port. Please note: This tour is not available to wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Snorkeling equipment is provided and guests wishing to snorkel or swim should be agile swimmers. The secluded coves and sandy beaches found along this stretch of Mexico's Pacific coast provide the ideal setting for seaside resorts and water activities. On this relaxing tour, you'll embark a comfortable motorized catamaran-style vessel for a scenic cruise from the harbor to Tangolunda Bay, viewing the area's natural beauty and surrounding resorts as you cruise along. Just one of the sights you'll see is the unusual rock formations at Organo Bay, where a stop will be made for swimming. 8 HUT-003 BIRD WATCHING ECO-TOUR Duration: 4.00 Hrs Tour Price: $ June 28, :00 AM Nature lovers will enjoy this tour as you discover the rich diversity of the wetland bird life and unspoiled low-growth caducifolia jungle beauty that are found along the trails of the Copalita River. Traveling from the pier, it's a short transfer to the botanical park where you'll begin experiencing the amazing flora and fauna of this region that's tucked within its precious woods. Rich with wildlife, such as iguanas and deer, the area is also the natural habitat of over 227 species of birds, including 20 varieties of hummingbirds. Before starting off, you'll receive a souvenir list of birds that comes complete with a color print of the 25 most likely seen species. Along the way, your knowledgeable guide will provide you with a comprehensive explanation of the area's ecology, wildlife and points of interest, along with helping you spot bashful residents hiding in the foliage. Observation stops are included during your walk as well as a refreshment break. The coastal paradise of Huatulco is known for its nine beautiful bays and the scenic route you'll take on your mountain bike will allow you to see three of these magnificent bays while partaking in some invigorating exercise. Meeting your guide at the pier area, you'll be issued a Cromoli 18-speed mountain bike and helmet. Once you have received your safety briefing and route overview, you'll begin a ride that has you discovering the beautiful scenery of this new resort area. Your route has you first passing by Chahue bay before climbing to Tangolunda viewpoint (two miles total distance in this segment, with a moderate slope of 25 degrees on the last 600 yards) for a 10-minute water and photo stop. From here, it's a downhill ride to lovely Tangolunda Beach Park for a 30-minute stop. Sea conditions permitting, you'll have the chance to cool off with a refreshing dip in the ocean. Complimentary cold water and a fresh water shower are available here for your comfort and convenience. Continuing on, you'll trek to the upscale hotel zone of Tangolunda Bay, returning by way of the boulevard that travels alongside the golf course. Switching to a different path, you'll then climb to Chahue bay (with a slope of 90 degrees in the first 800 yards), before heading up to la Crucecita for a 15 minute rest stop at the charming central plaza. Finally, the last segment of your journey brings you back to the pier, perhaps a bit tired, but filled with the exhilaration of having experienced a unique sight-seeing adventure. Actual cycling time is approximately 2 1/2 hours, 99% of which is over paved roads. Guests are responsible for assessing their physical ability and medical condition in undertaking this tour. From here, it's on to Pueblo Viejo where you'll view plots of land that are devoted to the cultivation of citrus fruits. You'll spend just over 3 hours trolling the deep blue waters of the Pacific, hoping to feel a strike that signals you've hooked a "big one." If luck is with you, perhaps you'll enjoy the exhilaration of reeling in a magnificent bill fish. A strict catch-and-release policy is enforced so you'll want to be sure and bring along your camera to record the event.
