1 INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING SPRINT FESTIVAL ANYKŠČIAI-2015 REGULATIONS 1. Swimming competition is held on 7-9 May 2015 in Anykščiai 25 m 6-lane swimming pool Bangenis, applying electronic time system ALGE. 2. Competition is included in the European swimming federation calendar of international competitions of 2015 and is held under FINA rules. 3. Participants of the competition are swimming clubs and sport schools teams and swimmers, whose entries were received by the indicated date. Number of participants is limited to 600 swimmers, and organizers keep the right to not accept all entries, informing about such decision beforehand. 4. Preliminary entries for participation in the festival shall be sent to the head and chief judge of the festival by festival.anyksciai@gmail.com by 1 April Technical entries (in Lenex or Word format) or any amendments (free form) shall be sent to the referee of the competition by gintasbar@gmail.com by 30 April Amendments are accepted until 10 a.m., 7 May, 2015 (GTM +2). Belated entries or amendments are not accepted. 5. Each participant shall have doctor s permission to participate in the competition. The leader of the participating team, or the swimmer if (s)he is participating independently, is responsible for obtaining this permission. 6. Competition is personal and team points are not counted. 7. One participant can compete in one age group, unless (s)he partakes in age group V (see below). Number of starts for the participants is unlimited. 8. A team of 20 or more participants (swimmers) must participate in the mixed relay (7x50 m Freestyle). 9. Start fee is 5 EUR per start. Relay fee is not applicable. 10. Each participant will receive a memory gift with festival symbols. 11. The festival is pleased to introduce age group V. Participants are invited to compete in play-offs in 50 m butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. The minimum number of participants in each event is 4. If there are fewer than 4 participants in an event, it does not take place. Organizers keep the the right to limit the number of of swimmings in the event (not more than 4). The events take place as follows: swimmers with best times are selected from the qualifying rounds Quarterfinal, 2 slowest swimmers are eliminated, and 4 fastest swimmers win the right to participate in the semifinals Semifinals, 2 slowest swimmers are eliminated, and the remaining 2 fastest swimmers win the right to participate in the final. The third place is awarded to the swimmer who showed the third fastest time in the semifinals Finals, the two fastest swimmers compete. The swimmer with the faster time wins the first place, while the slower swimmer wins the second place In case equal results in selection and quarterfinal heats, the winner is chosen by chance. 12. All expenses related to the participation in the festival shall be covered by the sending organization or participants individually. Arrivals times are: May 7, 2015, at 5p.m. for the participants of age group V, and May 8, 2015, 8a.m. for everyone else. 13. Age groups: I girls and boys, born in 2002 and younger; II boys, born in ; III girls, born in and boys, born in ; IV women, born in 1999 and older and men born in 1997 and older; V women and men of any age 14. Winners and prizewinners of each event in age groups I-IV are awarded with specially made medals and diplomas, while 4-6 places winners are awarded with diplomas. Winners and prizewinners of each event in age group IV are additionally awarded with monetary prizes: 1 st place 30 EUR, 2 nd place 20 EUR, 3 rd place 10 EUR. Winners and prizewinners in each event of age group V are awarded with specially made medals and diplomas, as well as monetary prizes, which are accorded as follows: 1 st place 50 EUR, 2 nd place 30 EUR, 3 rd place 20 EUR. The team winner of 7x50 m Freestyle mixed relay is awarded with a cup. 3 best female and 3 best male swimmers (based on FINA point calculation table) of age groups I-III are awarded with special material prizes and 3 best female and 3 best male swimmers of age group IV are awarded with money prizes: 1 st place 300 EUR, 2 nd place 220 EUR, 3 rd place 150 EUR. Swimmers who earn the same amount of FINA points will share the prize equally. Festival s record holders are awarded with special prizes. Only the swimmer who holds the new festival record at the end of the festival will be awarded the special prize. Organizers may set other prizes and inform about them before the event. 16.
