Colorado Timing Systems electronic timing and display board will be used. The water depth is 8 feet, measured from 1 to 5 meters on the starting end of the course and 4.5 feet, measured from 1 to 5meters at the turn end of the course. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with c(4). On deck seating is available to coaches and swimmers. Additional seating is outside on an adjacent patio. Teams should bring tent-structures for athletes, parents. All areas other than spectator seating and pool facility are off-limits. Rules: Athlete Eligibility: The meet will be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming and SC Swimming Rules and Regulations and information herein. Positive Check in required for all deck-seeded events. Swimmers will be responsible for swimming in their assigned heats and lanes. The Meet Referee has discretion to determine the need to do dive over starts. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is strongly discouraged. This competition is open to SCLSC registered athletes only. Swimmers may enter any event in which they do not have the current Age Group Sectional or Senior Sectional (Spring) qualification cut time. Age is determined by the first day of the meet March 28, All swimmers must be in good standing with USA Swimming and SC Swimming. Registration must be completed and confirmed prior to the start of the meet. USA Swimming registrations will not be accepted on deck. We will offer the opportunity to include USA Swimming members with disabilities in

2 our meet and highly encourage their participation. Swimmer s disability must satisfy the definition of a disability as outlined in USA Swimming Rules and Regulations: A permanent physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. Swimmers with disabilities may compete, earn awards, and score points for their team in the same manner as able bodied swimmers. Entries for swimmers with disabilities should be submitted with the team s entry file. The coach or athletes are responsible for notifying the Referee of any accommodations that are required in accordance with USA-S Rule Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Entry Fees: Entry Limit: $3.00 for each individual event for 10 & Under $3.50 for each individual event for swimmers competing in 11-and-Over events $15.00 pool fee per swimmer $2.00 per swimmer SCLSC Travel fund/program fee $2.00 per swimmer SCLSC Sports Development Director fee $1.00 allocated to Jennifer Smith Scholarship fund $7.00 for each time trial $6.00 for each relay team entry Fees are to be paid before the meet begins; late entry or deck entry is at the discretion of the Meet Director at the double the event fee rate. We will not create additional heats or reseed heats. One check per team. All 10 & Under athletes enter up to 4 individual events and one relay per day. All 11 & Over athletes may enter up to 3 individual events a day. Teams may enter up to two (2) relays per age-group per event; only one (1) can score. Meet Format: All 10 and Under session events will be conducted as timed finals. All relays will be timed finals. All events in the 11-12, and Senior age groups will be prelim/final events with exception of the and Senior 400IM, and 500 Free. The 500 Free, and 400IM will be deck seeded. Positive Check in will be required. They will be swum fastest to slowest alternating girls then boys. The top heat of the and Senior 500 Free will swim at night. Positive check in will close 30 minutes before the start of each session. Late entries at that time will be taken at the discretion of the meet director. Teams are limited to two relays per event per age group, and only one can score points. Events may be combined and scored separately as needed. We will be running one 8 lane course for the meet. There will be lanes of warm-up warm down during the meet. Meet Director reserves the right to adjust sessions (combine preliminary and 10/Under sessions) in order to run an efficient meet. Notice of any change will be distributed within 48 hours of the entry deadline. Finals - The number of heats in each final is based on the number entries, as follows: 1-16 entries - one heat of finals entries - two heats in finals 41 + entries - three heats in finals

3 Swum in this order: Championship heat, consolation heat, bonus heat Scratch Rule: SCLSC rules regarding positive check-in-events will be in effect. See USAS Rule Any swimmer NOT planning to swim at night in the finals MUST scratch so that those swimmers who would like to swim again may do so. USA Swimming and SC Swimming penalties apply for those failing to show in a final heat or a positive check in event. All SCLSC and USA Swimming safety guidelines will be enforced. Specific warm-up procedures will be posted on deck and on the host website The meet entry coordinator reserves the right to adjust warm-up times based on the entry count. Electronic Entries - Entries must be in Standard Data Interchange (.SD3) format and sent as an attachment to the meet entry coordinator at coach@teamriptides.com. Free text entries will not be accepted. Relay Only swimmers must be pre-loaded into relays or be annotated as relay only in the body of the List swimmer, sex, age, USA Swimming #. List all attending coaches and contact phone numbers in the body of the . Corrupted, unreadable, or incorrectly formatted files must be corrected within 24 hours of entry deadline. Errors in entries submitted electronically are the responsibility of the coach. Electronic confirmation will be sent within 48 hours after receipt of file. SC Swimming does not accept deck registrations, all swimmers entered must be registered at the time of entry deadline. Please send checks and signed waiver/fee summary before the meet. Individual event awards 1 st -8 th ; Relay Ribbons 1 st -3 rd place. Individual Trophies - highest scoring male and female in each age group (10& Under, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18). Team Plaques - 1 st -3 rd place overall Individual events score ; Relays score double points. A Colorado Timing System with 8 lane display scoreboard will be used. Each coach must be a current member in good standing with USA Swimming and they must have their credentials visible at all times. Coaches must present credentials to receive coaching packets and remain on deck. Note: The General Meeting with all coaches will be held before the meet on Friday morning at 8:15am in the hospitality room.

Individuals wishing to officiate at this meet should contact Chip Bateson at Please report to the meet referee with your credentials when you arrive at the pool. USA Swimming, Inc., South Carolina Swimming, Myrtle Beach Riptides, the City of Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand Aquatic Management and all vendors shall be free from any liability or claims for damages arising by reason of injury to anyone during the course of the meet. A meet committee/ jury will be formed by the meet referee after the entries have been received as deemed necessary. USA Swimming and SC Swimming procedures will be in effect. Coaches are expected to closely supervise their swimmers at all times. Swimmers may not use any equipment during warm-up. Each team will be assigned lane/lanes for specific warm-up times. Swimmers who participate in the meet without a coach present must notify the Meet Referee prior to the start of warm-up so that a coach can be assigned. Running and horseplay are prohibited. Glass containers/bottles, alcohol and tobacco products are prohibited. Any person found to be abusing any area of the facility will be barred. Concessions will be available coolers may not be brought into the spectator area. Hospitality will be available for coaches, officials, and meet personnel.
