No registrations accepted after the deadline. LICENSE All participants must be in possession of a valid F.C.N. license for the 2016/2017 season. If you do not have a license you will be able to arrange for at the time of registration: Less than 16 years old, for a year license: 41, years old, for a year license: 45,90 Over age 18 years old, a day license 3,70 BIB NUMBER PICK UP In Club Natació Barcelona - Pg. Joan de Borbó, 93: December 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. December 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. At Portal de la Pau: On the day of the race (December 25th) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. *The secretary s office will be closed 15 minutes before the start of the competition. 3 COMPETITION AND TIMING It will consist of five sets with a maximum of 130 participants per set. Timing will be taken an electronic chip in the ankle and the arrival time will be in the top of the leader when it is stepped on the carpet. (Novelty): Popular Series: The 5th series is open for those who want to participate in a more playful way; swimmers with fancy dress, who want to swim with companions of other categories - such as: families (from the Minor category to the Master E and Disabled, male and female) and /or for those who do not want to participate in a very competitive or intense way. This series will not have a prize, but the time will be recorded, so that there will be a final classification that will be published with the rest of the results. There will be no arbitration control, but the time will be registered with the chip. Maximum of 100 participants in this series. In the case of loss of the chip an amount of 10 will be paid. RACE STARTING TIME 11.00h: 1st race. Minor, Kids and Disabled - Male and Female 11.15h: 2nd race. Master A-B-C - Male 11.30h: 3rd race. Master A-B-C-D-E Female and Master D-E Male 11.45h: 4rth race. Absolute Male and Female 12.00h: 5th race. Popular AWARDS All swimmers who compete to win the Copa must be registered for the ABSOLUTE category; opting out of their own age category. The records of the race will only accept swimmers competing at the absolute level. Trophies given for the top three finishers in the category MINOR, CHILD, ABSOLUTE AND DISA- BLED, in both the male and female categories. A Trophy is awarded to the first place in each age group category MASTER in both male and female categories. A Trophy is awarded to the Club with most participants. The oldest swimmer and the swimmer who has participated in the most races. Special trophies Aldees Infantils SOS, to the youngest male and female swimmers and to the family unit with the most participants registered as a family. Special Trophy for the best swimmer of CNB (male and female) Special prize of Club Natació Barcelona of 500 (per person) for the Absolute Champion (male and female) of the Copa. Gift to all participants. *Swimmers must be 30 minutes before departure area h: Trophy delivery. (The order of the categories in the series can be modified according to inscriptions and to the criterion of the organization. Any change will be informed as soon as possible).

4 TO AVOID BEING DISQUALIFIED Participants will not be allowed to wear wetsuits pieces or similar. It will be essential to use a swimsuit according to FINA rules for open water. Participants must swim in their corresponding race and pass the control of the Starting Official in order to activate the chip. Female swimmers who have won the race the most times include Carme Soriano with six times followed by Mari Bernet and Esther Nuñez with five times each. Swimmer Josep Bernal, winner in 1943, returned to take part in 1993; celebrating the 50th Anniversary while swimmer Jordi Casas took part in 2013 celebrating his 60 year of participation. For the 87th race the highlight was the change of venue, beginning at the iconic Portal de la Pau, facing Colon Monument. The route ran parallel to Rambla del Mar. In relation to the Aldees Infantiles SOS Trophy given to the largest families registered together, a notable highlight (with 5 members) was Valmaña-Pi in the 95th and Esforzado-Chillida in the 98th edition, and with 11 members was Tresens in the 103th.
