Secretaries All Affiliated Units of BADMINTON 45 SENIOR STATE VETERANS BADMINTON SELECTION TOURNAMENT Date: 23 rd December, 2017 Maharashtra Badminton Association- Dear Sir/Madam We have great pleasure to inform you that the BADMINTON 45 under the aegis of Maharashtra Badminton Association and Greater Mumbai Badminton Association is organizing Badminton 45 Senior State Veterans Badminton Selection Tournament between 17 th January, 2018 to 21 st January, 2018 at Bombay Gymkhana Ltd., Mumbai. The following events will be held: Men s Singles Women s Singles Mixed Doubles Men s Doubles Women s Doubles In the following categories: 35+ / 40+ / 45+ / 50+ / 55+ / 60+ / 65+ / 70+ Important: Each player is allowed to participate in only 1 age category per event. Each player is allowed to play only 3 events. Enclosed please find entry details along with rules, regulations and General Information for your reference. All entries should be sent online ( and approved by respective district secretaries of Affiliated District Associations of Maharashtra Badminton Association.

2 Direct entries from players are not accepted. The Last date of receipt of entries is 7 th January, Draws for the tournament will take place on 11 th January, 2018 and the Draws and Fixtures for the tournament will be displayed at the venue as well as on the Maharashtra Badminton Association s Website under Current Tournaments on home page by 14 th January, You are requested to kindly circulate this information to all concerned players from your district and ensure their participation. Tournament is open to all veteran players from Maharashtra State only. 2. The tournament will commence from 17 th January, & will conclude on 21 st January, 2018 at Bombay Gymkhana Ltd., Mumbai. 3. Play is scheduled to commence at 8:00 AM everyday subject to Load Shedding & other changes without prior intimation. 4. This tournament will be conducted as per the rules & regulations for tournaments as laid down by the BWF and BAI. The decision of the tournament committee will be final and binding on all players. 5. Each player is allowed to participate in only one age category per event. Each player is allowed to play in only 3 events. (B) HOW TO SEND THE ENTRIES 1. 6 (D)HOW THE TOURNAMENT IS GOING TO BE CONDUCTED: 1. Line Judges may not be appointed for the matches till Quarter-finals. Players will have to work as line judges whenever called for by the Tournament Officials. 2. Each Competitor must report to the Hon. Referee on his arrival at the venue of the tournament. Player failing to report on the court when called by the Hon. Referee, will be liable to be scratched. 3. Clothing during play must be as per the new regulations issued by B.A.I. Advertising on the clothing is allowed as per B.W.F. rules. 4. Yonex brand shuttlecocks, approved by MBA will be provided. 5. Players must not leave the tournament hall without checking the fixtures of their next match, put on the notice board. A chart displaying match numbers only will be displayed on the board as daily fixtures. In case of any doubts / difficulties, do not hesitate to contact Hon. Referee. Subsequent complaints will not be entertained. 6. A list of Hotels & its tariffs is enclosed herewith, all Players, Managers, Coaches etc. may directly contact these hotels for their own bookings.
