MAVALANKAR SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP IN SMALL BORE RIFLE/PISTOL EVENTS AT MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA FROM 18 TH TO 30 TH SEPTEMBER 2016 Dear Sir/Madam, It has been decided to hold XXVI All India G. V. Mavalankar Shooting Championship in Small Bore Rifle/ Pistol events at MRA Shooting Ranges, Mumbai, Maharashtra from 18 th to 30 th September 2016 as detailed in the program attached at Appendix A. This will be conducted by Maharashtra Rifle Association, an affiliate of National Rifle Association of India under the patronage of the National Rifle Association of India. Those competitors who want to participate in these competitions are requested to go through the following instructions carefully for their own convenience and to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the above competitions. 1) MATCHES :- All the matches will be conducted according to NRAI Match Book The Match Book is available on our website A shooter is eligible to participate in AIGVMSC only if he/she has achieved the following minimum qualifying scores as per Rule 1.4 of NRAI Match Book in the previous AIGVMSC, Inter School Shooting Championship, State Championship (Full course as per NRAI Match Book), conducted by the State Rifle Association in those events in which he/she wishes to participate. Scores of such competitions must be filled in the entry form at the time of sending entries for AIGVMSC. Shooters furnishing wrong information shall be debarred from taking part in any Championship for two years.

This may be sent to NRAI duly completed in all respect on or before 26 th August The Entry Fee should be remitted by Cash/ Money Order or by Bank Draft in favor of NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA. Kindly note that cheques will not be accepted. Late entries, if any, will be accepted with a three times of the normal fee up to 15 th September b) The competitors cards duly completed will be delivered at NRAIs camp office at Mumbai. c) Those who are below 21 years and 18 years of age as on 31 st December 2016 will be considered under the category of Juniors (1996 onwards) and YOUTH (1999 onwards) respectively for the Championship. d) Incomplete entry form, without details regarding previous participation and without entry fee and the recommendation of State/Unit will not be accepted. These will be treated as late entries and will only be accepted with triple entry fee and on completion of formalities and subject to the availability of lanes. IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SHOOTERS (SENIORS/JUNIORS & YOUTH CATEGORY) TO GET THEMSELVES REGISTERED WITH NRAI AND OBTAIN SHOOTER ID CARD (IF NOT ALREADY DONE). SHOOTERS WITHOUT SHOOTER ID CARD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE. THE REGISTRATION FORM IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE THE REGISTRATION FEE IS RS. 150/- AND REGISTRATION FORM SHOULD BE SENT THROUGH RESPECTIVE STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION/UNIT.

3 SHOOTERS WHO DO NOT HAVE SHOOTERS ID NUMBER MUST FILL THEIR DATE OF BIRTH IN THE ENTRY FORM AND ATTACH CERTIFIED COPY OF THEIR DATE OF BIRTH. 3) PARTICIPATION :- Participation is open to competitors to State Rifle Associations/ Units affiliated to NRAI. In case where no State Rifle Association exists, competitors belonging to clubs directly affiliated to NRAI will be allowed to participate. NRAI members must take part though State Rifle Associations/ Units of their native place otherwise their entry will not be accepted. All the State Rifle Associations/ Units will allow the members of NRAI to participate without becoming members of that State/ Club to which he/ she belongs. However, if there is no such Association / Club functioning in their State, they can take part as members of NRAI provided they have paid all their dues towards NRAI. Shooters who failed to maintain the Minimum Qualifying Scores as per Rule 17.6 of NRAI Match Book during previous NSCC will enter in Matches for MQS only and will not be eligible for any Medal/Ranking. Please see Rule 10.7 of NRAI Match Book. No Certificates will be issued to shooters failing to achieve the qualifying scores as per rule 1.4 above during All India G V Mavalankar Shooting Championship. The State Rifle Associations/Units will be imposed a penalty of Rs. 3000/- per shooter in case their shooters score below 15% of the qualifying score as per NRAI Match Book rule 1.4 during All India G V Mavalankar Shooting Championship. The State/Unit must deposit the penalty amount with NRAI immediately otherwise shooters from that unit/state will not be allowed to participate in any competition conducted by NRAI. The Secretary General may also call explanation of the unit/state for sending such shooters. Shooters participating in AIGVMSC on the basis of their performance during any competition conducted by NRAI shall be exempted. All the affiliated units are required to send the results of the competitions conducted by them latest by 31 st August 2016 to enable us to verify the scores of the shooters whose entries are being sent by the affiliated units. A penalty of Rs. 200/- will be charged if a shooter looses his/her competitor card during the competition and fresh card will only be issued on deposit of penalty. The affiliated Associations/Clubs/Units forwarding the Entry Forms of their members are requested to see that their Affiliation Fee is paid up to date. Their Entry Forms will be entertained only after their arrears if any are cleared. Associations/Clubs/Units

4 forwarding the names of the Competitors having identical names must distinguish them by indicating their father s name. Shooters taking part in Peep Sight Rifle matches are not allowed to take part in Open Sight Rifle Matches or vice versa. All Schools directly affiliated with NRAI must send their entries through respective State Rifle Associations where these schools are functioning. No direct entry will be accepted from the Schools. 4) ELIGIBILITY OF JUNIORS & YOUTH a) Juniors can take part in.22 Rifle/Pistol events under the supervision of Team Manager. b) Youth Category shooters can take part in all three age categories (seniors/juniors/youth). Juniors can only participate in junior and senior category only. Shooters above the age of 21 years are not allowed to participate in juniors or youth categories. 5) AMMUNITION Ammunition will be issued against cash payment only on valid arm license of Association/Club/ or proper special permit issued by the Licensing Authorities. In case of inadequate authorization, special permits for the required quantity be obtained from the local licensing authorities. Unused rounds and empties of used rounds are to be returned to NRAI. 6) IMPORTANT Only three (3) shooters will be allowed to use common weapon. The names of shooters likely to use common weapon should be intimated together with the weapon number to the Organizing Secretary in advance to enable to work out the details for the conduct of the relevant matches. 7) RAIL TRAVEL CONCESSION :- Rail Travel concession vouchers can be obtained from NRAI s office. This will be issued to those competitors who have paid their Entry Fee and have furnished the required information against the relevant column provided in the Entry Form.

5 8) ACCOMMODATION :- The detail of hotels shall be sent separately. 9) GENERAL : - Thanking you, a) All participants are requested to go through the above instructions carefully and ensure strict compliance. b) All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competition.
