To all affiliated/registered District Association/Club/Units. The 35 th Maharashtra State Shooting Championship R&P (35 th MSSC) will be organized by the Maharashtra Rifle Association [MRA] and conducted by the Mumbai City District Rifle Association [MCDRA], at the MRA Shooting Ranges, Worli Sea-face (N), Mumbai , from the 6 th of October to 14 th of October, Participants / Rifle Clubs / DRA s / Units must pay all their dues/outstanding payable to the Maharashtra Rifle Association, without which no entry forms, will be accepted. Shooters who have not paid the Sports Shooters Registration / Renewal fee will not be permitted to participate in any state or national level competitions. Eligibility 1. Shooters desirous of participating in the 35 th Maharashtra State Shooting Championship must have achieved the qualifying scores [as mentioned below in para 18 ] in the respective events, in any recognized competition in the last 5 years i.e. in any recognized competition after The above qualifying rule and rule 19 will however not apply to Shooters who have been renowned shooters [as defined by MHA, Govt. of India Notification] or have been medalist at the State /National Championship in any ISSF event in any year. Such Shooters will be eligible to participate at the MSSC 2018 in all events of their respective category. 2. Ammunition & pellets will be issued against cash payment to the participants of the MSSC subject to availability. 3. Participants must have completed all pending formalities, paid all outstanding dues, returned all empties of ammunition previously issued and paid sports shooters registration renewal fee. 4. Participants desirous of competing in one or more events should fill the attached entry form and submit it along with proof of appropriate entry fee deposited (cash deposit or net banking) into the

2 above mentioned MCDRA bank account [Bank of Maharashtra a/c no , IFSC Code MAHB ] by after which the entry forms will be accepted ONLY with double entry fee (up to ). The Organizers may, at their sole discretion, accept entry forms only until 24 hours prior to the commencement of an event - on the payment of Triple Entry fee. 5. The entire Entry Form must be filled out by the shooter in his / her own handwriting. The form must be submitted with all relevant documents and appropriate fee. Incomplete forms are liable to be rejected. Acceptance of Entry Forms and Fee by the office staff does not amount to approval / acceptance of the Entry. 6. All Weapons/equipment and ammunition must comply with ISSF Rules. 7. All the matches will be conducted as per the ISSF Rules and NRAI Match Book. 8. Participants will bring their own arms/ammunition and other equipments. 9. WEAPON SHARING; ORGANISERS WILL MAKE AN ALLOWANCE [ARRANGE DETAILS] FOR ONE WEAPON TO BE SHARED BY A MAXIMUM OF 2 SHOOTERS SUBJECT TO THE SHOOTERS HAVING MADE SPECIFIC NOTE IN THE ENTRY FORM 10. Entry fee is non-refundable, unless the respective match is cancelled. 11. Details and lanes once allotted will not be changed. No requests for specific details will be entertained. 12. All information regarding detail allocation, changes in timing of details, lane allocation etc and all other relevant information, will be put up on the notice board at the MRA range and on the MRA website / FB page. Shooters are requested to keep themselves informed by referring to the notice board / FB page / Website Only those events which have a minimum of 4 entries, will be conducted. Events which have less than four entries will be cancelled and no medals / certificates will be awarded for those events. In such Junior/Youth events which are cancelled due to a paucity of entries - shooters will automatically shoot in the higher / next category. A shooter may choose to shoot such a cancelled match solely for the purpose of putting up a recognised score but the same shall not be considered for medals/ certificates. 14. In the case of the actual number of participants being less than four in any event, the number of medals / prizes awarded, will be one less than the number of competitors who have participated and completed the match. (For arriving at the total number of participants, only those participants who actually complete the match will be considered for that particular event). 15. Shooters MUST BE PRESENT at their allocated firing point 30 MINUTES before their Reporting Time [RT]. MATCHES / FINALS WILL BE CONDUCTED ACCORDING TO NEW / CHANGED RULES. FINALS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN SENIOR AIR WEAPON EVENTS ONLY. Besides the official training days the organizers would try to make an half hour of Training available to shooters, a day prior to the day of his / her match. The timing for such training will be announced on the notice board. 16 Tentative results/list of Finalists will be put up on the notice board. Shooters must keep in touch notice board / MRA Face Book Page / with the MRA officials prior to the Finals in order to verify their position vis a vis the Finals.

3 17. Shooters who have shot scores, which are equal/more than the MQS for the MSSC in any competition recognized by the NRAI or in the MSSC/Capt. S. J. Ezekiel, in any particular event will not be permitted to participate in any of the Novices [NR] matches in that event. Such shooters will not be considered novices in that particular event state level competitions and will not be permitted to compete in any State /district/club Level, Novices competition. 18. The following are the event wise [MQS] qualifying scores for participation at the 35 th MSSC EVENT Men M. Jr. Women W. Jr. Y-Men Y Women Air Rifle: 540/ / / Prone: P: 1000/ / Free Pistol: 460/ / Centre Fire Pistol: 496/ / Sport Pistol: - 500/ / /235 Standard: 490/ / Air Pistol: 518/ / / ELIGIBILITY FOR RAPID FIRE EVENT: A shooter who is a renowned shot in at least one 25M event - is qualified to shoot in the Rapid fire event in the 35 th MSSC A shooter who does not complete 21/18 years of age, on or before will be considered a junior or Youth respectively. (Junior 1998 onwards and Youth 2001 onwards). 21. Medals and Merit Certificates will be awarded to only those shooters who achieve the MQS that is required for participation in the forthcoming NSCC -2018, in that event. Participation Certificates will be awarded only to those shooters who achieve the MQS required for participation in the 35 th MSSC, in that event. The tournament committee reserves the right to relax this rule in the case of junior/youth shooters. 22. The Tournament committee reserves the right to amend the rules at any time, before or during the competition, at its sole discretion without prior notice. Decision of the tournament committee/ working committee in any matter, will be final and binding, upon all concerned. 23. Women Competitors may participate in the men s events [qualification stage only] but will not be awarded medals/certificates. However their positions will be announced. 24. THE MRA VIEWS NON ATTENDANCE AT PRIZE CEREMONIES WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION, IN WRITING - AS AN ACT OF INDISCIPLE. 25. MRA shall take severe disciplinary action, against any undisciplined behavior / any unsportsmanlike act during the conduct of the MSSC and / or any act of cheating / tampering with targets. MRA officials conducting the competition are empowered to take all appropriate action against all undisciplined acts. QUALIFYING TRIALS for FIREARM EVENTS [NR]; QUALIFYING TRIALS [QT] WILL BE CONDUCTED FOR THOSE PARTICIPANTS OF THE 22 nd CAPT EZEKIEL - WHO FAILED TO ACHIEVE THE MQS FOR THE G V MAVLANKAR - BY 05 & 10 POINTS or less [for 30 shot match &

4 60 shot match respectively]. However this rule shall not apply to shooters who have been renowned shooters. Shooters who do not fall in any of the above category but desire to participate in the QT s may apply with justification and the MRA at its sole discretion, will decide each case on merits.
