Chandrasekaran Secretary November 14, 2018 To All affiliated Members and Clubs in Tamil Nadu State (Actively participating) 31 st State South Zone Selection Aquatic Championship 2018 The Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association will conduct its 31 st State South Zone Selection Aquatic Championship 2018 from 7th to 9th December 2018 at Velachery Aquatic Complex, Chennai, (subject to the permission from SDAT) for selecting the Tamilnadu Swimming and Water Polo team to participate in the South Zone Aquatic Championship to be held at SIR VIZZY MUNICIPAL CORPORATION SWIMMING POOL, Gandhi Nagar, Vijayawada, from 27 th to 29 th December 2018 conducted by Andhra Pradesh Amateur Aquatic Association 1. Water polo events Water polo matches will be held for both Boys and Girls categories. The matches will be played once the morning session is over. One unit from each district can submit maximum of thirteen players per category. 4. Maximum number of Events - Swimming Group I and II III IV, V and VI No. of events Maximum of five individual events Maximum of four individual events All events 5. Timing for Seeding - Swimming Seeding will be done based on the best timing clocked by the swimmer in the preceding last State meet conducted by our Association viz., Sub Junior and Junior State Selection Meet 2018 Swimmers who have not participated in the preceding last state meet or for any of the events in which he or she is participating in this Championship seeding will be at Random. 6. Entries Entries shall be submitted online through our Association website. Online option will be available from 23 rd of November Swimmers who are participating for the first time, concerned Clubs have to register them by providing the requisite details. The submitted details will be approved by the Association thereafter the Clubs can submit their event participation details.

3 Last date for submission of entries through online is 30 th November Entries will be not accepted after the due date. Entry forms along with the entry fees payable needs to be submitted to Mr. T. Chandrasekaran, Secretary, Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association, G2, Jegashree Apartments, 17, Rettai Pillayar Koil Street, Velachery, Chennai , between 11 AM and 4 PM During the course of the event, Relay forms will be issued and the same shall be submitted duly filled with the Full name of the Swimmer written legibly in Capital letters. Certificates for relay events will be issued based on the relay form only. Correction in terms of spelling for relay certificates will not be entertained. 7. Age Proof Swimmers who have obtained the ID Cards from the Association need not submit their Age proof certificate. Swimmers who have not obtained the ID Cards from the Association need to submit an attested copy of their Age proof certificate. 8. Entry Fees Particulars Swimming Individual event Swimming Relay event Water Polo Entry Fees Rs. 100 per event per swimmer Rs. 300 per relay event per team Rs. 1,000 per team Entry fees shall be paid in cash or by way of Demand Draft along with the entry form. Demand Draft shall be drawn in favor of The Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association, Payable at Chennai. 9. Accommodation Dormitory Accommodation shall be provided to out station team / competitors on request. Request for the accommodation shall be sent to the Secretary on or before 30 th November 2018 along with the number of Boys and Girls. One official shall be allowed for one unit, club or district. 10. Protest No Age protest shall be entertained against any swimmer who have already faced medical and has been cleared by the Tamil Nadu Aquatic Association. Protest if any should be given in writing by the manager of the concerned club or District with a protest fee of Rs.500/- within 30 minutes after the event. The protest shall be referred to the jury of appeal whose decision is final.

4 11. Affiliation No transfer is permitted after the last date for submission of entry. The transfer fee is Rs. 500 per swimmer. The transfer fee should be paid along with the entry fees. 12. Mode of selection Swimming Swimmers who have secured first and second place in this Championship other than Group V and VI, shall be selected to represent Tamilnadu. However, Association reserves the right in selection of Swimmers and allocation of events for the selected swimmers. Any swimmer fails to represent the state in the forthcoming South Zone Championship after being qualified then the swimmer be debarred from participating in the next three state meets and their place secured in the state meet shall stand withdrawn. The only exception is for medical reasons in which a Chennai swimmer has to get medical certificate of their illness only from Ashwini Soundarya Hospital and the district swimmers have to get their medical certificate only from government hospital and that certificate has to be accompanied by a letter from the district secretary. Swimmer will be fined for an amount of Rs. 1,000 per event for not reporting for the events qualified. Swimmers who do not wear the colors provided by the Association during the victory ceremonies of the above referred National Championship will be fined with an amount of Rs.3,000/- Water polo Post to this Championship, Trial matches will be played to select the players. Trial Match dates will be announced later. Players shall be allowed to play the trial match from Best performed player in each of the matches he / she played in this championship. Best performed player will be identified by the Water Polo Committee of the Association. Independent player from the clubs who have not submitted their water polo entries in this championship

5 13. Points for Individual Championships For individual events points shall be awarded as 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 for the first six places respectively. Only if there is a tie in the score, bonus points shall be awarded to swimmers who have scored equal points as follows: 5 Bonus points shall be awarded for establishing a State Record or 10 Bonus points shall be awarded for establishing a National Record. 14. Points for Group and Overall Championships For individual events points shall be awarded as 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 for the first six places respectively and for relay events points shall be awarded as 14, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 for the first six places respectively. 15. Medal Ceremony Medal ceremony will be as per the schedule given in the order of events. Medal winners must report for the medal ceremony as and when called for. Otherwise, the swimmer will not be allowed to participate in the remaining event of the Championship otherwise in the next championship conducted by the Association. Relay medals and certificates will be handed over to the Coach/Managers of the respective clubs. 16. Event Timing Events of Morning session shall be started at 7.00 AM on all days and the reporting time shall be 6.30 AM. Events of Evening session shall be started at 4.00 PM on all days and the reporting time shall be 3.30 PM. Water Polo matches will be conducted after completion swimming events in the morning session.

6 17. Others The swimmers participating in the championship can do the warm up in the racing pool and must clear the racing pool 15 minutes before the start of the Morning / Evening session.
