Chandrasekaran Secretary 11th August 2018 To All affiliated Members and Clubs in Tamil Nadu State (Actively participating) 72 nd STATE SENIOR AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association will conduct its 72 nd State Senior Aquatic Championship from 31 st August to 2 nd September 2018 at Aquatic Complex, Velachery, Chennai , for selecting the Tamilnadu Aquatic team to participate in the Senior National Aquatic Championship to be held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar International Aquatic Complex, Pirappancode, Trivandrum, Kerala from 19 th to 23 rd September Events (Men and Women) SWIMMING Freestyle : 50 m, 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m and 1500 m Back Stroke : 50 m, 100 m and 200 m Breast Stroke : 50 m, 100 m and 200 m Butterfly : 50 m, 100 m and 200 m Individual Medley : 200 m and 400 m Relay : 4x100 m Freestyle, 4x200 m Freestyle and 4x100 m Medley Entries for 800 m and 1500 m Freestyle will be accepted only within the timing specified below. Swimmers who fail to meet the timing have to pay a penalty of Rs.100/- Men 800 m Freestyle 11 Minutes 1500 m Freestyle 20 Minutes Women 800 m Freestyle 12 Minutes 1500 m Freestyle 21 Minutes DIVING 1m, 3m Spring Board and High Board

2 2. Maximum number of Events A swimmer shall participate in maximum of five individual events. 3. Timing for Seeding Seeding for swimming events will be done based on the best timing clocked by the swimmer in the preceding State meets conducted by our Association viz., 35 th Sub Junior and 45 th Junior State Aquatic Championship 2018 Swimmers who have not participated in the preceding state meet or for any of the events in which he or she is participating in this Championship the seeding will be at random. 4. Entries Entries shall be submitted online through our Association website. Online option will be available from 20 th of August Last date for submission of entries through online is 25 th August Entries will not be accepted after the due date. Entry forms along with the entry fees payable needs to be submitted to Mr. T. Chandrasekaran, Secretary, Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association, G2, Jegashree Apartments, 17, Rettai Pillayar Koil Street, Velachery, Chennai , between 11 AM and 4 PM During the course of the event, Relay forms will be issued and the same shall be submitted duly filled with the Full name of the Swimmer written legibly in Capital letters. Certificates for relay events will be issued based on the relay form only. Correction in terms of spelling for relay certificates will not be entertained. 5. Entry Fees Entry fee for Swimming event is Rs. 100/- per event per swimmer; Entry fee for Relay event is of Rs. 400/- per relay event; Entry fee for Diving event is Rs.100/- per event per diver; Entry fees shall be paid in cash or by way of Demand Draft. Demand Draft shall be drawn in favor of Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association, Payable at Chennai. 6. Accommodation Dormitory Accommodation shall be provided to out station team / competitors on request. Request for the accommodation shall be provided to the Secretary on or before 25 th August 2018 along with the number of Men and Women from their respective region.

3 7. Protest Protest if any should be given in writing by the Coach of the concerned club or District with a protest fee of Rs.500/- within 30 minutes after the event. The protest shall be referred to the jury of appeal whose decision is final. 8. Affiliation Affiliation will be taken as it was in the last age group and the last senior meet conducted by our Association. Any deviation will lead to disqualification. No transfer is permitted after the last date for submission of entry. The transfer fee is Rs.500 per head. The transfer fee should be paid along with the entry fees. 9. Mode of selection Swimmers and Divers shall be selected for the Senior Nationals as per the SFI qualifying time. Swimmers who have qualified only in relay events and have not qualified in individual events shall not be considered for Selection. In all circumstances, Selection Committee decision is Final. If the Swimmers who have been selected for nationals are not interested in participating in National events has to intimate the Association on or before 3 rd September If no written communication is received on or before 3 rd September 2018, regarding their non participation in the national events, it will be construed that the swimmer is willing to participate in the national and the entry will be sent to SFI accordingly. Swimmers who do not report for the national will be fined with an amount of Rs. 5, 000/- Qualifying time is attached herewith. 10. Points for Individual Championships For individual events points shall be awarded as 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 for the first six places respectively. Only if there is a tie in the score, bonus points shall be awarded to swimmers who have scored equal points as follows: 5 Bonus points shall be awarded for the swimmer who has broken a State Record or 10 Bonus points shall be awarded for the swimmer who has broken the National Record.

Points for Group and Overall Championships For individual events points shall be awarded as 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 for the first six places respectively and for relay events points shall be awarded as 14, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 for the first six places respectively. 12. Medal Ceremony Medal ceremony will be as per the schedule given in the order of events. Medal winners must report for the medal ceremony as and when called for. Otherwise, the swimmer will not be allowed to participate in the remaining event of the Championship otherwise in the next championship conducted by the Association. Relay medals and certificates will be handed over to the Coach/managers of the respective clubs. 13. Event Timing Events of the morning session shall be started at 7.00 AM and the reporting time shall be 6.30 AM. Events of the evening session shall be started at 4.30 PM and the reporting time shall be 4.00 PM. 14. Others The swimmers participating in the meet can do the warm up in the racing pool and must clear the swimming racing pool 15 minutes before the start of the morning / evening session.
