INVITATION Dear Friends, The Indian Kayaking & Canoeing Association is pleased to invite all the state association, Units, Athletes, Coaches and Officials to participate in the National Kayaking & Canoeing Championships under categories :- Junior (Men &Women) & Sub-Junior (Boys & Girls) to be held in Bhopal from January 31 to February 2, This event will contribute in enhancing our country and state to a different level all together. Since state association /units come forward to organize this event of Junior or Sub Junior Canoe Sprint. The IKCA will organize at Lower Lake Bhopal from 31 st January to 02 February 2019 at Upper/Lower Lake Bhopal(M.P). We have made all our efforts to hold this very important event in the finest way and to create the best conditions for all participants to take part in these competitions. We believe that participation in this competition will allow athletes to show their best results. The Three day event will bring all the states, athletes, coaches together at one place making the media to capture a big event and the general public will be captured by this event. We invite you to follow the preparation of this major event for the state and our association and come to participate and take part in the activities proposed around the event. VENUE Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh holds an amazing fusion of picturesque beauty and historic artifacts. Also famous as the city of Lakes, Bhopal has two stunning lakes namely; Upper Lake and Lower Lake. The two lakes are separated by an over bridge called Pul Pukhta or Lower Lake Bridge. Supplying water to almost 40% of the residents in Bhopal, these lakes play a vital role in serving the city.

ENTRY FEES (a) Entry Fees: Each State Association, Services Sports Control Board and All India Police Sports Control Board, affiliated and recognized by IKCA can enter one entry in each event. For each entry, entry fee will be K-1 & C-1 Rs 150/-, K-2 & C-2 Rs 300/- 2 and K-4, C-4 - Rs 500/- per boat. (b) Federation Fee. Rs 200/- per person will be charged as Federation Fee and all paddlers and officials are required to be registered to enable them to participate. (c) There will be technical resources & Technical arrangements IT arrangements charges of Technical Charges Rs. 2000/- for Juniors and Sub Juniors boys and girls. (d) Inflation fee. IKCA will charge only inflation fee. Rs 1000 Per head, OUT OF Rs 500 will go to IKCA and Rs 500 to Organizing Committee. (e) Inflation to cover the expenses of Accreditation, Medical care, Participation in functions, security services, lifesaving, motor boat, petrol, Laying of Course, Chest numbers, drinking water at venue etc. The venue and the playing facilities will be provided by IKCA 5. 7 Page7 7. INFORMATION DETAILS (a) Acceptance of Entries. Entries as per format attached are required to reach Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association Office, New Delhi not later than 20 th January 2019 with a copy to the Organizing Secretary by and hard copy. An electronic photograph of paddlers & officials are also required for accreditation through E Mail. This Digital entry has to be sent to IKCA Office & Ms. Shilpa or Ms. Bhawna addresses are given below. (b) Boats Equipment. Boats and allied accessories will be provided on Rental basis at Rs. 250 Per Boat. The Competitors/Teams are permitted to bring their own equipment/boats for the competitions. However, they will be required to be approved by the Technical Committee and subject to all checks. Paddlers and teams must bring their own Paddle foot rests, knee pads, life jackets etc if they need. (c) Security. All equipment will be carefully handled. Equipment will be handed back to the boat control after each Race. Under no circumstances seats will removed. Rs 2,000/- penalty will be imposed for this act. Damage due to negligence in handling of boats/equipment will have to be borne by the paddler/team. Every Team has to deposit Rs. 5,000/- to the Organizing Committee, which will be refundable if no damage or loss at accommodation. (d) Travel. The Railway Station is BHOPAL. The Teams will report one day before the event for the accreditation card. Please get your Railway reservation accordingly. (e) Send Entry with number and Names, Sex, Age of Each paddler and officials to IKCA before January 20, 2019, to issue Railway Concession.

8 Page8 (f) Photographs. All paddlers are required to bring two latest passport size photographs (one for certificate and one for IKCA record) for each event they enter. Merit Certificates and Participation Certificates will only be given to those medal winner/participants who have actually participated in the event with their photographs affixed on certificate and duly attested by IKCA. All photographs will have the Name and State written at the back side of the photograph. (g) Equipments: Athletes have to bring their own paddle, life jacket, helmet, Spray deck and other personal goods. Athlete must have regular practice to participate in canoe slalom in white water. The organizing committee and the IKCA will not be held responsible for any damage or causality of Individual (s) or Equipments. All life safety of Athletes are responsibility of athletes and state associations. (h) Age Verification: All participants in Junior and Sub Juniors category will be required to produce age proof as per Govt. of India Notification. Original Birth Certificate has to be produced before verification Committee from State Govt. Death and Birth Registration Department or Municipal Corporation/Committee etc. There are two age group in each male and female category Below 18 & 16 years as on 31 December 2019 (the year in which the championships take place) A: Junior Men & Women born on or after January 1, 2001 is eligible B: Sub-Junior Boys and girls born on or after January 1, 2003 is eligible. (i) Prizes. First three places will awarded Medals.

9 Page9 (j) Kit Color. All team members will wear similar T Shirts, Caps and Shorts as per ICF Rules. (k) Doping. All paddlers will tested for Dope under arrangements of SAI/NADA. (l) Managers Meeting. The Managers meeting will be held on 30 th January 2019 at 1200 Hrs. (m) Annual Fee & Dues: Only those who have cleared their Annual Affiliation fee of previous years& this year and entry fee for the competitions will be entitled to participate. (n) Eligibility. NO Paddler will be allowed to participate from other State/Unit, if he/she is not having NOC from his/her, Unit/State. The paddlers participating in the Championship must know swimming. All participants are required to submit an Indemnity Bond duly singed by the parents verified by the President/Secretary of State Associations/Units with seal and signature.
