At 59 teams, this is the largest LSVC tournament to-date, and we look forward to providing a fantastic experience for you all. 6 Rules & Regulations The Lone Star Volleyball Classic will observe NAGVA Rules & Regulations during tournament play. All teams and players must be registered with NAGVA. If after pool play an individual is not registered, the individual will not be allowed to play in the elimination round. A Captains Meeting will take place on both dates to review facility rules see schedule of events. A Captain or Team Representative must be present for both meetings. Pool Assignment/Play All teams play during pool play. First matches begin at 8:00 am at the Willowbrook Sports Complex (B & BB) and The Zone (Mod A3). All matches are for 45 minutes, with two 21 point rally scoring games. A five-minute warm up period is included in all matches. The score will begin at 4-4 for all 21 point matches and will play to 25 with a 27 point cap. If a tie exists at the time of expiration of a game, play continues until the next point is awarded. No timeouts are allowed after the two minute warning. Substitutions are allowed after the two-minute warning. Elimination Round Assignments Assignments and identification of all divisions will be according to pool play results. Ties may be broken by (1) point differential during pool play, then (2) coin flip. Point differential is determined by total points won divided by total points played for each specific team. Referees/Officials NAGVA Rules & Regulations state in Section 6 that all teams must provide a certified first referee and certified scorekeeper for all matches. The rule states that if a team cannot provide a certified referee and scorekeeper, they must pay the cost of obtaining one. This cost has been established at $20.00 per match per position. Paid referees and scorekeepers will be provided by LSVC. If a team cannot provide a first referee or scorekeeper and does not pay the required fee, that team will not be able to compete at this tournament and will not receive a refund. Number of Players Under no circumstances may a team play with less than 6 players. If an injury occurs, NAGVA Rules & Regulations Section 4.04 will be applied. Roster additions will not be allowed during tournament play.

7 Rules & Regulations Winners Bracket All matches will be best 2 out of 3 games. Games 1 and 2 are 25 point rally scoring, with a 27 point cap on Games 1 and 2. Game 3 is to 15 with no point cap. Games 1 and 2 begin at 4-4. Game 3, if necessary, begins at 0-0. Contenders Bracket One 25 point rally scoring game, with by 2, with no point cap. The game begins at 0-0. All protest committee decisions are final and not subject to appeal. Rating NAGVA player rerating forms have been created to assist in identifying players whose rating needs to be examined. This form should be used primarily to identify players who are currently rated, but may need to be rerated, either up or down. Please complete the top portion of this form and return it to the Tournament Manager or the Regional Commissioner. The Regional Commissioner will complete the rerating requests as time permits. Willowbrook Sports Complex & The Zone Rules 1. No coolers or outside food allowed in the complex. Water bottles are the only exception. Food is sold inside the gym. 2. For your safety, please do not walk behind the courts with net dividers. Walk around the perimeter of courts at all times. 3. No food or drinks allowed in or around the playing area. 4. The playing areas will be defined in the captains meetings. 5. The carpet and bench area between the courts is out of play. 6. When contacting the ball, at least one foot must remain on the volleyball playing area.
