It was the team s final two home matches of the season, finishing the year winning its final seven in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The Tigers have won at least seven matches at home for the second consecutive year and fourth time in the last five seasons. The 13 conference wins is the most in the last two seasons, and the most since the 2010 team won 16 that season. LSU has finished with fewer attacking errors in six of their last seven matches. The team took the first set off of each team, improving to 12-1 when taking the opening salvo. When going up 2-0 in the intermission break as LSU did on the weekend, the squad is a perfect 7-0 on the year. Even when leading 2-1 the Tigers are still tough holding a 10-0 record. LSU is a combined 17-2 when hitting 200 or better in matches this year. The Tigers have earned more digs than their Team Notes last seven opponents. LSU has out-blocked three of their last five opponents. LSU committed just one service error on Sunday, the lowest amount the team has had in a single match in the season. The Rebels swept the season series against Alabama with another five-setter and have now won six of the last nine meetings. Ole Miss improved to 3-2 in five-set matches this season. Sophomore Melanie Crow set the single season record for aces (35) with a career-high five in the win over Alabama. She also led the Rebels with 33 kills on the weekend. The Rebels are one win away from equaling the most home wins in a season (12). The Rebels improved to 18-2 overall and 6-2 in the SEC when hitting above.200. The Rebels continue their four-match homestand with Georgia Wednesday at 6 p.m. followed by Texas A&M Friday at 4 p.m. Mississippi State: With the season winding down, the Mississippi State Bulldogs (7-24, 2-14 SEC) capped their final full weekend of the season with a road trip to Athens and a Sunday home contest against No. 15 Kentucky. MSU fell in a tight 3-1 contest against the UGA Bulldogs on Friday despite a career performance from junior Alex Warren. Warren paced the best individual offensive performance of the season for the Maroon and White, tallying 21 kills and 21 points, both career highs. Warren also turned in six digs, which tied a career high. State would fall in Friday s opening set, but fired back in the second to tie the match at one-all. However, MSU could not capitalize in the remaining two sets, falling 3-1. State faced a tall task on Sunday with No. 15 Kentucky, falling in straight sets. Led by eight kills from Chelsea Duhs and 21 assists from Shelby Anderton, the Bulldogs were unable to find their footing until the final set, where they fell in a tight contest. The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 26, for the home finale against the Texas A&M Aggies at 7 p.m. CT. MSU 4
