3 FAMALICÃO 2018 VOLLEY CHALLENGE Accept the challenge of a great competition AVC Famalicão has the pleasure of inviting your Club to participate in Famalicão 2018 Volley Challenge, an international Women's Volleyball tournament intended only for reference teams. The tournament will be held between March 26 and 29, 2018 and the participating categories are U20, U18 and U17. In this phase, the registration in the tournament takes place only through this invitation, destined to teams and clubs that we consider of reference, like yours. Therefore, we send you this message, because we would love you to be part of our event. The event will take place in Famalicão, a city that stands out in the panorama of Volleyball in Portugal. It has some of the best facilities in the north of the country, with quick accesses to the airport, the bus and the train stations. Our city has everything necessary to welcome the best teams and, once again, provide high competitive level matches. THE GREAT EMOTIONS OF VOLLEYBALL ARE HERE The "Famalicão 2018 Volley Challenge" Tournament is an event organized by AVC Famalicão, with the collaboration of the Volleyball Association of Braga and the City Council of Famalicão. It is intended for federated teams in the categories of U16, U18 and U20. It takes place from March 26 to 29, 2018 and includes one tournament per category. The registration price Includes accommodation with full board (see the terms of participation on our website). Coaches are exempt from payment of the registration (maximum 2 per team). 40 full board For logistical reasons, the number of teams in AVC Volley Challenge is limited due to several factors, in particular the capacity of accommodation and meals, number of fields available for the tournaments, and resources of the organization for its normal operation.

OUR WORK TEAM HAS A WIDE EXPERIENCE IN THE ORGANIZATION OF INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS. 1 - Organization Famalicão 2018 Volley Challenge is organized by Atlético Volleyball Club of Famalicão. 2 - Implementation dates March 26, 2018: teams reception and technical meeting. March 27 to 29, 2918: tournament games. 3 - Participation and age categories a) Condition of participation Female teams with a minimum of 6 players, all of them registered in the respective Volleyball Associations or / and Federations will be able to participate in the tournament. In the case of Portuguese teams, the athletes must be registered with the Portuguese Volleyball Federation. b) Age categories The age groups in competition are: U17 (born from 2003 inclusive) U18 (born from 2001 inclusive) and U20 (born from 1999 inclusive) c) Number of Participants Each team must have a minimum number of 6 players and a maximum of 15. The registration fee in the tournament is 40 per player. The teams must have at least 1 coach. The registration of the coaches / officials, up to a maximum of 2 per team, is free. From the 3rd official or coach, the value to be paid is 40 per official. Registration fees include full board in the tournament (see the point regarding meals) d) Number of teams from each club in the same age category: Each club can only register one team per age group. The Host Club, however, reserves the right to exceptionally register two teams in the U16 competition. e) Use of players in more than one team: It is not allowed to change players between teams of the same club, in the same category or in different categories. 4 - Competition System The tournament will be played by groups in two phases. In the first phase, a Round Robin regime will be used in one round. In the second phase the final classifications will be determined. Modifications of the system initially planned may be verified if the number of teams registered justifies it, always with the objective of maintaining the competitive level of the event.

6 MAIN RULES Each team will be entitled to a classroom, equipped with the number of mattresses corresponding to the number of people on the team. In the facilities for accommodation (schools), entry is only allowed with the credential issued by the organization. The facilities are monitored throughout the event and it is not allowed to stay in the outdoor spaces after 23:00 hours, in order to guarantee the rest of the participants. Failure to comply with this rule implies immediate expulsion from the tournament to the prevaricator. Any damage caused in any installation (sports, accommodation, etc.) must be immediately paid by the executor's club of the damage. Important: all classrooms are equipped with audiovisual media that must be respected and which can not be touched. At the end of the tournament there will be a classroom inspection with the element of the organization responsible for the accommodations before the teams leave. We recommend that participants avoid bringing valuable items, and ensure that the classrooms are properly closed after leaving, during the stay. The players will be able to play in an age group superior to theirs, as long as they integrate the list of participants given in the inscription. Under no circumstances may players integrate two teams, according to the rules 3.c, 3.d and 3.e. 5 - Match sites The matches will be held in Famalicão in covered sports halls. The location of sporting events will be announced in advance through circulars and information on the tournament website. 6 - Number of matches The design of the tournament in each category will try to privilege the maximum number of games possible, guaranteeing that each team performs at least 4 matches, without losing the competitive level that we want to give to the event. 7 - Registration a) REGISTRATION PROCEDURE The registration of each team is done through filling in the form where the name of the club, and age group will be recorded. The form is sent through the tournament website. The registration of players in the tournament is done through the specific form, sent by after the registration of each club. The athlete's sports license number, as well as the full name, must appear on the registration form. The tournament will only allow the participation of athletes, coaches and leaders duly registered in the Portuguese Volleyball Federation, in the case of national teams, or, if Meals The registration fee includes the entire stay in the tournament, with the following meals: dinner on the 26th; breakfast, lunch and dinner on days 27 and 28, and breakfast and lunch on March 29. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be distributed in the school canteen. they are foreign teams, with authorization of participation of the respective associations and federations of the countries of origin. A pre-registration period may be opened with the assignment of special discounts to teams that express their intention to register in advance. b) REGISTRATION FEE The tournament will cost 40 euros per athlete in all categories of the event. The club officers (coach / director, in a maximum of 2 elements) will have free participation. The payment will include accommodation in a classroom with a mattress, 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners (dinner on the 26th is included). c) DEADLINES The pre-registration of equipment starts in November. There may be a promotional period in this phase, with discounts for teams that complete their registration earlier. The registration / confirmation of teams must occur before March 4, After this date no more teams will be accepted in the tournament, always observing the limited number of teams in the tournament, to be defined by the organization timely. The final registration of players must be completed before March 11, 2018, when the respective credentials of the tournament begin to be issued. The full payment will be made until March 11, 2018, by bank transfer to the account of the organization, to indicate each entourage at the time of registration, along with the payment instructions. After March 11, administrative fees will be applied to registration fees. See more terms in the tournament website Each participant will have to present their food ticket / voucher, previously delivered in the accreditation of the team. Information about menus, special menus, meal times and everything related to food will be delivered before the tournament.

7 PROGRAMME FAMALICÃO 2018 VOLLEY CHALLENGE 26 MAR - Welcome Lounge Great emotions before the games. In the 2018 edition the reception of the teams is done at a party ambiance. Filled with surprises, it is intended to be a great moment of coexistence among all participants. On this day there is no competition, so we have some relaxation and animated exchange of first impressions of our event. On this day we will also have the technical meeting of the tournament. City Tours In our tournament there is also time to get to know the city. There will be time to know the most picturesque points of our city. With a map in hand and together, or even in small groups, we provide all our guests with some urban itineraries with special highlight for some more extreme activities that we ve prepared for everyone. 27 to 29 MAR - Tournament That's why we are in Famalicão: to play! On the 27th from 9:00 am the games take place in all the fields of our event. A day of very competitive games, until the evening. The same happens throughout the 28 th. On the 29th the finals are held and the Volley Challenge arrives to It s end, with the award ceremony. Our tournament is competitive. Overcoming it will be a great challenge. For us the aim is making a quality event, both in the field and in the activities.
