1 OF WOMEN'S ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS 2ND DIVISION Be Happy in Gymnastics Dear Gymnastics friends, Braga city hall, in the quality European City of Sport 2018, has the honor to invite all F.I.G affiliated federations to be present, through national teams or as club members, in the I International Tournament of Women s Artistic Gymnastics Braga City The purpose of this competition is to spread out Women s Artistic Gymnastics in the north of Portugal, particularly in Braga City and consequently in the national context. This tournament give an opportunity to athletes, that love this sport but, due to several reasons, are unable to reach a performance level that allow the participation in international meetings. Therefore, we understand that will be important to create an event, that provide a healthy, social and competitive, environment, among athletes that share the same love for artistic gymnastics. Beyond medals, and as an additional motivation, we will provide a PRIZE MONEY to recognize the better performances. We believe that all conditions are set for the success of this event, so we are expecting your enthusiastic participation. Be welcome.

2 AIM The I International Tournament of Women s Artistic Gymnastics - Braga City; Be Happy in Gymnastics is one of the main events of BRAGA EUROPEAN CITY OF SPORT 2018 agenda. It is intended, that this activity could be a stimulus for the improvement of sport leisure and competition practice conditions, in general, and more specific in gymnastics. Therefore, gymnastics activities that include this sport agenda, should incorporate the most representative clubs of Braga, in order to promote and improve training knowledge and conditions. Particularly, in Artistic Gymnastics, we intended to stimulate the adherence at this sport in Braga, as well as strength it s projection in north of Portugal. COMPETITION COMPETION LEVEL The tournament includes only one category: 2 nd Division. This category includes two participation levels: and, which in turn is divided in following age groups: beginners / Juveniles / Juniors and Seniors. 2 nd DIVISION This tournament could participate all national gymnasts affiliate, in 2018, in FGP, in base level, and foreigner s athletes that compete in the same category or equivalent in their country. Evaluation will be performed in accordance with an adapted code created for this competition and that is based in F.I.G. Code. PARTICIPATION CATEGORIES, LEVELS, AGE GROUPS AND APPARATUS The competition is based in an organized structure, where all athletes should be able to participate in all apparatus. All Portuguese participants need to be affiliated in F.G.P. The athletes age should be effective for 2018 year. 3 DATE AND PLACE The Tournament will take place in 27 th, 28 th and 39 th of April 2018; Day /Month 27/April 28/April 29/April. Division (BEG.: / JUN.) (BEG: / JUN.) (JUV: / SEN.) (JUV: / SEN.) The Tournament will occur in the city of Braga, more specifically in the Sport Facilities of Minho University. Activity Trainings Competition Competition RULES 2ª DIVISION The judgement will be based on International Code of Points from the International Gymnastics Federation (CoP-FIG), with the alterations that will be sent with competition rules. REGISTRATION Registration Schedule The registration of Portuguese athletes should be done online in Gymbase. PROVISONAL REGISTRATION Registrations until 2nd of February (Registrations during this time, will have priority, in case of athlete s number for each group be exceeded). Until 2 nd of February, registrations will be limited to 4 athletes for each age group, at each level and per Club. After this date, in case of not being filled the total number of athletes participating in each age group, clubs will have a second opportunity to make the registration of athletes, but without any limits. 1 st Time Registrations until 16 th of March 2018: 45 (for each athlete). 2 nd Time Registrations until 6 th of April 2018: 55 (for each athlete). ATTENTION: In case a Club wants to participate with 4 teams in each level (4 athletes per age group), it means that its representation will have a total of 32 athletes NOTE: Further information s regarding registrations and IBAN, for payments will be opportunely provided. 3

4 COMEPTITION MANAGEMENT COMPETITION TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT Composition: 1 Competition technical director 1 Judge responsible for all judges COMPETITITION EXECUTIVE DIRECTION Composition: 1 Competition Director 1 Braga City Hall member 1 Responsible for processing evaluations and classifications 1 Responsible competition logistic issues JUDGEMENT Each apparatus will be evaluated by three judges: 1 Judge responsible for defining the value of the schemes presented and the remaining 2 judges will be responsible for evaluating the execution of the same schemes. JUDGES MEETING Will be occur in 27 th of April, at evening, the hour will be indicated later. NOTE: all judges need to be present RESULTS / AWARDS RESULTS The final results will be organized in accordance with the classifications obtained by each individual athlete, corresponding the best score to the 1 st place, the second best score to the 2 nd place, and so on, until the last classified, in each competition and in each apparatus. Moreover, we will have team classifications in each level. Each team will consist of four athletes (1 BEG.; 1 JUV.; 1 JUN. and 1 SEN.), in which the final score of the team results from the sum of each one of these athletes. In the inscription must be indicated the name of the athletes and respective age group, that constitute each team. Only Clubs with 1 athlete (at least) in each age group can compete by teams. AWARDS PRESENCE: All competitors will receive a participation medal. RESULTADOS CLASSIFICATIVOS The competitors classified in the first three places in the individual general classification in each competition, and in each apparatus, will received a trophy. Teams classified in the first three places will received an exclusive trophy, and corresponding team athletes a medal. 4

5 PRIZE MONEY The athletes classified in the first three places in the individual general classification, in each level, in all age groups, will own a prize money. In accreditation, each participant entity should have present all of the music s of its own athletes in a PEN DRIVE, identified by level, age group, category and the name of the athlete.
