2 MTIN MINUTS YU MIL NTR (M) /YU MIL SSOITS (M) MSTR ILITIS UIL Meeting with Tompkins TT and adabout Transportation Services, Inc. T: LOTION: Monday, March 20, :30am Tompkins ounty TT Office TTNS: Tricia Hayes (Project Manager, M); enjamin Negley (xecutive irector, M); Scot Vanderpool (Manager of Operations, TT); Tony Votaw (VP, M; OO, M); Kristen Wells (xecutive irector, adabout Transportation); Matt Yarrow (Service evelopment Manager, TT) XUS: Steve Knapp (irector acilities onstruction, M) Meeting was held with the above individuals in order to discuss the future building that is in the works for M at ommunity orners (ayuga Heights). Tony started off with an introduction discussing the plans for the building and the goals within M for this new building. Tim iaschi will be the landlord. M is currently in the design phase. This new building will allow for M to replace a some of our smaller (spread out) buildings with a large building (2 stories) with about a gross foot print of around 14,000 square feet. Neurology services will be on the first floor and our Internal Medicine practice will be on the 2 nd floor. There is also potential to house a few other specialties within the existing 2 stories should the need arise. This has been to the ayuga Heights planning board. Part of the required contingency was to make sure there was a parking management plan in place. s a result, M offered to meet with TT and adabout in order to ensure all parties were aware of the plans for the summer of It was noted that there has been several traffic studies performed. In addition to the planned communications, the owner is undertaking a number of additional setups to ensure accommodation for patients and to not impact the parking/roads such as extended sidewalks to be compliant, adding a few parking spaces in addition to the existing, and an agreement to have 10 spaces for use in the apartment complex. In addition, M employees will be told to park as far away as possible to encourage other transportation. There is also a shower being put into the design on the second floor to encourage biking to work. There is also a TT pickup/stop nearby with about a quarter mile walk or less which would work for some patients and would be encouraged for staff to use. TT is willing to consider increasing the frequency of the ommunity orners connecting routes if warranted. real time bus information project was discussed between TT and M, and as time gets closer to the building completion, future discussions will take place to determine applicability. preview of the project included such capabilities as phone apps for staff and patients, L screens at the practice locations where one would be able to enter their destination and the program will tell them the bus schedules near them or ones that they are looking for.
3 Kristen (adabout) joined later in the meeting and discussed the ability to be able to pull into a designated area (as the adabout vehicles needs to park and aid patients on/off). The new space will have a pull in area for adabout to do curbside drop off. M practices will be encouraging offices to call gadabout directly. ards for adabout are going to be left with the receptionists for patients when they are booking their next appointments or for general purpose. M s irector of Practice Operations will be working with the practices to make sure they are handing out cards with adabouts information as well as making sure the practices are booking adabout for the patient s next appointment before they leave. M plan to have further discussions with both TT and adabout moving forward closer to the summer of 2018 with updates on the building and any further questions/concerns that may arise.
4 dministration TO: Staff of ayuga Neurologic Services of M Staff of Internal Medicine of M ROM: en Negley R: New ommunity orners Location Parking s you know, M s new, two-story location in ommunity orners is projected to open in the Summer of The first floor will be occupied by ayuga Neurologic Services of M and the second floor will be occupied by Internal Medicine of M. This is a very exciting project for M and will accommodate ongoing growth of our organization and improve patient satisfaction. This combined location will increase patient volume into our clinics and thus will place additional automobile traffic in our new, shared parking lot. With that being said, I want to let you know well in advance of this move of our need to accommodate our patients with priority parking. This necessitates that employees park as far away from the entrance of our building as possible. To that point, we are actively encouraging other viable and environmentally friendly means of transportation including: Transportation to work via bicycle (we have arranged to have bike parking racks as well as showers at the new site to encourage this) Ride sharing/carpooling o People who participate in rideshare programs save money in fuel costs while reducing everyday wear and tear on personal vehicles. In addition, they can be dropped off and picked up, which increases parking availability for patients; o Studies show that those who participate in rideshare programs with fellow employees can create a stronger sense of community and help foster personal connections with coworkers Transportation to work utilizing TT Thank you in advance for your understanding on meeting the needs of our patient population and your consideration of the above mentioned alternatives Trumansburg Road, Ste P Ithaca, NY fax In Partnership with ayuga Medical enter at Ithaca
