Journey to our nation s capital and join hundreds of thousands in a show of peaceful unity to stop legalized abortion. Dates: Wednesday, January 25 to Friday, January 27 (Note: We return at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 28) Price: Trip Includes: Limit: $195 per person $100 for parent chaperones Please make checks payable to Notre Dame Prep Memo Line March for Life Transportation, lodging, meals (except for stop on the way home), and activities Bus capacity for a maximum of 45 students and 9 chaperones NOTE: This trip fills up VERY quickly-typically within hours of announcement Trip participants are selected on a first come, first served basis. Please register online as soon as possible and send your paperwork and payment in a sealed envelope to the school office on the next NDP school day to enroll. You are not fully registered until payment is received and your place cannot be held. Registration: 1) Please fill out the online registration form when it goes live at 10pm on Monday, November 7, The link is on the NDP website under Current Families > Forms and will also be ed to club members. 2) The online registration form holds your bus seat until the next NDP school day 3) Print and fill out the FOUR forms in the information Packet 4) Turn your forms and trip payment into the front office at NDP 5) Your registration is complete ONLY after your forms and payment are received 6) Unfortunately, if your paperwork is not received on the next NDP school day, we must release your seat to the next attendee on the waiting list Deadline: Registration deadline is November 15, 2016 Trip Meeting: Trip Contact: There is a mandatory trip meeting for all attendees and at least one parent on Thursday, January 5 at 7p.m. in the NDP Chapel JoAnn Brinser (cell)

January 25 27, 2017 Suggested Pack List On the bus: Five Critical Items Cell phone (required) Cell phone charger (required) Personal Medications / inhalers / epi-pens A string sack, fanny pack or small backpack to carry a lunch and/or personal items during the day (required) A white plastic bag labeled with student name - contains a complete dry change of clothes to be left under the bus in case of rain on March Day Warm coat Comfortable walking shoes or boots Gloves (wind proof / water proof) Hat Scarf Layerable clothing for Museum Day Extra spending money for gift shops, etc. A toothbrush or disposable toothbrush for end of bus ride Any items you want to use to freshen up after the bus arrives at the Basilica Rosary (accessible on the bus) Camera Pillow (optional: extra pillowcase in case it gets very dirty on the bus/gym floor) A few favorite prepackaged bus snacks (we will have snacks on the bus as well) Travel games, cards, etc (appropriate games only) Under the bus: Layerable clothing for March Day (consider a base layer/under Armour) Extra Socks (consider double socks) Towels (1 bath, 1 face) Plastic bag for wet bath towel and/or face cloth Toiletries Women: an optional bathing suit for additional modesty in showers at Catholic U) Modest pajamas Sleeping bag (no inflatables allowed at Catholic U) Pillow (optional: extra pillowcase in case it gets very dirty on the bus/gym floor) Small water bottle $10 for one (1) out of pocket meal Hand/feet warmers *You may leave items on the bus in your seat *Please be prepared in case of snow or rain.

January 25 27, 2017 Itinerary WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25 TH 8:30 pm Arrive at Notre Dame Prep High School and load bus 1300 Giddings Rd, Pontiac, MI ( ) 9:00 pm Bus departs NDP and begins a 10 hour bus ride We will have snacks at all times on the bus and will make comfort stops as needed 11:30 pm Lights out. Sleep through the night on the bus. THURSDAY, JANUARY 26 TH 7:30 am Wake, freshen up and eat breakfast bags on the bus 8:00 am Arrive at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for self-guided tour 400 Michigan Ave., NE, Washington D.C ( Group picture on Basilica Steps 9:00 am Load bus and depart for National Mall 9:30 am Arrive at the Lincoln Memorial/National Mall Group picture at Lincoln Memorial; Spend time visiting monuments and/or Smithsonian Museums ( 9:30a-3:30p Tour the Sights In groups with chaperones; lunch in mall area, $15 per person allowance. Sample activities: Holocaust Memorial Museum National Museum of Natural History National Museum of American History National Gallery of Art National Archives World War II, Vietnam Veterans, Korean War Memorials 3:30 pm Load bus/depart to check in at Catholic University of American DuFour Center ( ) Unload bags and claim our space in the gym. Snack available. 5:30 pm Mass at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land ( Quincy Street NE, Washington D.C ( ) 6:30 pm Load the bus. Go to San Antonio Bar and Grill for dinner th Street NE, Washington DC 8:30 pm Depart SABG for Catholic University of America DuFour Center ( ) Unpack, hang out at CUA. Confession, Adoration, Benediction, Praise and Worship available. Showers available for students (9pm-12am), adults (5am-7am) 12:00 am Lights out. Sleep Catholic University gym floor

4 FRIDAY, JANUARY 27 TH MARCH FOR LIFE DAY 5:45 am Get up and get ready Shower available for adults (5am 7am) 6:30 am Load bus (with bag breakfasts & lunches included). Bus must leave Catholic University on time to arrive at the DC Armory before doors close 7:30 am ProLife Day starts at the DC Armory and includes: Mass, ProLife Rally, Speakers, and the March for Life ( 11:00 am Depart DC Armory and take Subway to the March for Life 12:00 pm March to the Capitol Building & Supreme Court 3:00 3:30p Gather at the Botanical Gardens & tour the gardens 100 Maryland Avenue, We, Washington D.C :30 pm Load bus, depart D. C. area; snack available 6:00 7:00p Stop for dinner (out of pocket meal) SATURDAY, JANUARY 28 TH ARRIVAL AT NDP 1:30am Estimated time to arrive back at Notre Dame Prep Return time for bus is approximate and will depend on the weather, traffic and schedule. It is a 10 hour ride with a stop for dinner. Students will be asked to call home approximately 30 minutes before arrival at NDP. Don t wait up; go to bed and wait for the call. Parents are given the option of authorizing the use of their children s photos by representatives of the Archdiocese of Detroit or Champions for Life without names for those purposes, if they so desire. ** If you DO NOT wish to provide authorization, please complete the table information below, and return to Coordinator, Archdiocese of Detroit Marriage, Family and Prolife Ministry, Department of Evangelization, Catechesis and Schools. Through my own and/or my child s acceptance and use of the ticket to enter and attend the 2015 Youth Rally and Mass for Life, I hereby grant the Archdiocese of Washington permission to use my own and/or my child s image and likeness in any television broadcast, photograph, video, internet site, audio-recording, and in any and all of its publications, including website entries (collectively promotional materials ) without payment or any other consideration. I understand and agree that these promotional materials will become the property of the Archdiocese of Washington and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize the Archdiocese of Washington to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute my own/my child s image or likeness for purposes of publicizing or promoting the Archdiocese of Washington s programs or for any other lawful purpose. In addition, I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein my own/my child s likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the promotional materials.
