Fantastic turnout for fourth annual Walking Festival Over the 1 days, approximately 15 walkers took part in Cavan Walking Festival. The festival accommodated all walkers, from beginners to experienced ramblers and hikers. It hosted 3 walks of varying distances and grades all over the county. It contained all types of terrain, from forest tracks to lake trails to river walks to mountain climbs. Check out the festival photo s inside! A special word of thanks to local communities and walking clubs, without their eagerness and hard work the Walking Festival would not have grown to be such a success. A key element of the Cavan Walking Festival is how local communities and walking clubs are so proud and are so willing to share their local knowledge and showcase their community to walkers. If you missed out walk maps can be downloaded from ie and walking groups are continuing with weekly walks. Check out the facebook pages of Arva Trotters, Bailieborough Walking Group, and Cootehill Happy Feet Walkers for more details. For more details on weekly walks.
