1 The Public Works Street Department plans to begin its fall street sweeping on Monday, October 9 th. The department should be able to cover the whole town in approximately 2-3 weeks, weather permitting. (Street sweeping cannot be done in the rain, so if there is rain, the sweeping would be delayed until the streets are again dry enough.) Please help us by keeping vehicles and garbage receptacles off the streets. Please do not rake up leaves and sweep them into the roadways. Thank you for your cooperation! How to submit a streetlight repair request If you have a problem with a streetlight, complete and submit a Streetlight Repair Request to Mid- American Energy. 3 You may have noticed recently new sidewalk construction at 2 nd and Blaine with pictures provided below. There are many pedestrians who cross here to access the trail connection further south on Blaine. The additional sidewalk was constructed here and on Blaine to accommodate pedestrians who use this path. SEEKING BACKUP CROSSING GUARD! Contact the City of Bondurant at info@cityofbondurant.com or for more information. The City is also working with the School District to construct a pedestrian crossing at Aaron Avenue. Ultimately, the City would like to install pedestrian lights to enhance the safety of the existing and future sidewalk crossings and is currently seeking grant funds to help offset the cost of the crossing lights. The lighting for each crossing is approximately $10,000, meaning the City is working to secure a total of $30,000 in funding to purchase and install pedestrian crossing lights in key areas.

4 Do You Know How To Dispose of Old Pumpkins? Did you know that pumpkins can go into your Compost It! bags along with you regular yard waste? There is a 40 lbs. weight limit, so keep that in mind. Compost It! Stickers are available for purchase at City Hall Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM. FINAL DAY FOR COMPOST IT! SEASON IS DECEMBER 1ST!
