15 GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES SMARTPHONE CLOSED CAPTIONING (CONTINUED) For more information regarding smartphone closed captioning, guest accommodations, and communication aids/services please call , or ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) are available at all four Guest Services locations (by Sections 104, 123, 417 & 448). Fans will be asked to leave a valid driver s license or other form of identification when the ALD is checked out. DISABILITY PARKING Vehicles must have a state-issued disabled hangtag or license plate and valid parking pass to enter disabled parking areas contiguous to the stadium. Disabled parking spaces are first-come, first-served for those requesting disabled parking. There is a courtesy disabled cart service from the disabled parking areas contiguous to the stadium. These carts are for disabled fans and one companion. They take fans to the closest entrance only. Cart service is available beginning at 10:30 a.m., until one hour following the game. Please look for golf carts labeled Disabled Shuttle. The only lot north of Maryland that provides this service is Blue G. There are no cart services inside the stadium. If a person needs additional assistance, please contact a guest services representative once inside. DISABILITY SEATING Disabled seating is located on all three concourses at University of Phoenix Stadium, including all lofts and field boxes. All levels can be accessed by the elevators located near the five stadium entrance locations. One power outlet is available at each disabled seating platform for the use of guests with electric wheelchairs and other medical equipment. RESTROOMS There are 77 restrooms located throughout University of Phoenix Stadium. All men, women and family restrooms are ADA accessible and equipped with a baby-changing table. Please ask any staff member for directions to the closest restroom. GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES WHEELCHAIR ASSISTANCE (GAME DAY) University of Phoenix Stadium is pleased to provide appropriate wheelchair assistance for mobility impaired guests. Wheelchair assistance is available to guests once they have entered the stadium. It is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for wheelchair assistance can be made by asking a stadium staff member or by visiting a Guest Services booth. University of Phoenix Stadium will provide wheelchairs and a staff member to escort guests to their seats, but it is requested that mobility impaired patrons be accompanied by another adult in their party. Upon arrival at the seating location, guests are required to surrender wheelchairs to stadium staff. Stadium provided wheelchairs may not be used as temporary seating, as they are needed for use by other mobility impaired guests. To make arrangements for postgame wheelchair assistance, guests are asked to fill out a Wheelchair Escort Request Form stating their desired pick up time and location. Wheelchair Escort Forms are available at all stadium Guest Services booths. When exiting the stadium, guests will be brought to the exterior glass doors on the stadium s main concourse level. All requests for wheelchair escorts are accommodated on a first-come, first-served, basis. A short wait time may be required. 16 CHAMPIONSHIP TAILGATE Playoff Green is the way we identify the sustainability projects developed around the College Football Playoff National Championship. Colleges and universities have been leading the way across America by incorporating sustainability as a key part of the way they operate. Our mission at the national championship game is to apply the best of those sustainability concepts to the way we organize and implement our activities. To accomplish that, we have developed a number of initiatives around the College Football Playoff National Championship including: Solid Waste Recycling at major venues including the Phoenix Convention Center (site of Playoff Fan Central) and University of Phoenix Stadium. Prepared Food Recovery from all of our events that serve food to fans. Food that is cooked in the kitchens but never served will be recovered safely and fed to hungry people in the greater Phoenix area through a partnership with the area s major food banks. Water Conservation Messaging informs fans of the critical water shortage in Arizona and the rest of the American Southwest and promoting simple behaviors our fans can adopt to help cut their own water use while they are here for the game. Material Repurposing aims to keep material out of landfills. Construction materials, décor and other event materials are being donated to local organizations that can reuse, recycle and remanufacture these materials to benefit the local community. Renewable Energy/Travel Offsets provide a way for us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address our impact on climate change. On game day, University of Phoenix Stadium will be green powered through use of renewable energy certificates (RECs) provided by TerraPass. TerraPass is also offsetting the travel emissions for both teams traveling to Arizona for the championship game. Urban Forestry Projects are a great way to help green the host community and leave a permanent green legacy of the national championship game. We ve turned tree planting into a competitive sport! Several college teams from Arizona are competing the week before the game to see which college can plant trees the fastest and the best. Winning teams will get trees donated for their own campus. GAME DAY IS FINALLY HERE! The College Football Playoff National Championship is the biggest game of the year and Championship Tailgate is the biggest tailgate party of the year. Championship Tailgate opens at 11 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. The event is free for all ticket holders attending the national championship game and will allow fans to gather and enjoy interactive games, sponsor activities, concessions, ESPN broadcast sets and live musical performances. Ticket holders will also enjoy a social media hub, fun and games in the sponsor village, delicious food and beverages, event merchandise and much more. Whether you are secretly enjoying the opponent s hometown favorite grub in the Championship Grill, or soaring over the crowd riding the Red Zone Zip Line, Championship Tailgate is the one party you cannot miss! #ChampTailgate #CFBPlayoff Have a great time at the game and all the other activities, and help us keep Arizona, and the world, green for years to come. 29
