5 UKES BACK AT A-10 CHAPIONSHIP or the first time since the 2010 season, the uquesne women s soccer team is playing in the Atlantic 10 Championship. The ukes finished in 7th place after recording a -0 conference record, good for 15 points. ALL-CONERENCE HONROS uquesne placed two players on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in Katie O Connor and Kyra urphy. Caroline Lacy was selected to the All-Academic Team. SEEING OUBLE or only the third time in program history, uquesne has recorded double-digit wins. The 10 wins is ties the secondbest mark set in The ukes won 11 times in CITY CHAPS uquesne was crowned city champions after taking home first place in the 2nd Annual Steel City Classic. The ukes defeated Saint rancis U and Robert orris to win the crown. LENING A HELPING HAN OOT uquesne recorded 28 assists. This is the third-most program history. The ukes had 30 assists in 2006 and CLEAN SHEETS The keeper combo of urphy and Vanessa Perdomo combined for six shutouts this season. This is two shy of tying the school record of eight set in 1996 and THE ENECH TRICK Senior anya enech scored three goals against Rhode Island on Oct. 25th. The was the first hat trick for a ukes player since Audra athews on Oct. 6, SCORES 22 Katie O Connor recorded a team-high 22 points (8 goals, 6 assists) this season. This is the most points for a uquesne player since Lauren Bracco scored 21 in The 22 points is the 3rd most single-season total in program history. She also scored four game-winners, tying the secondmost in program history. She was named to the Steel City Classic All-Tournament Team. She was a two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week. ACCENA AGENA Linnea accenda finished the regular season tied for second on the ukes with 13 points (4 goals, 5 assists). She scored the game-winners against St. Bonaventure and assachusetts. She was named the A-10 Player of the Week on Sept. 28th after assisting on the game-winning goal and adding an insurance goal in uquesne s 2-0 victory over Bucknell. OVING UP THE STREET alea abean transferred from local rival Pittsburgh to uquesne this summer. She scored four goals in 16 matches this season. She netted the game-winner against George ason. RAIO/TV ROSTER AWEE AY Amy Vinopal scored a career-high eight points this season. One of the first players off the bench this season, Vinopal scored twice - including the game-winner over Seton Hall - and added four assists. AWEE ABBY Abby Losco has a great freshman year. She recorded a pair of goals and added three assists. She was named to the Steel City Classic All-Tournament Team. CAPTAIN CAROLINE Caroline Lacy, one of the ukes captians, set a careerhigh with three assists this season. Boasting the highest GPA on the team (3.92), Lacy is a finalist for the CoSIA Academic All-America istrict 2 Team. KOOL KRISTEN Kristen Kotsopoulos took home the league s first Rookie of the Week award on Aug. 24th. In her second game as a uke, she scored twice, including the game-winner, in uquesne s 2-0 win over Robert orris which gave the ukes the Steel City Classic Championship. or her efforts, she was named to the Steel City Classic All-Tournament Team. A SKILLS addie Layman started the season off great, scoring on a PK and setting up the game-winner in the ukes 2-0 win over Saint rancis U in the season opener. She was named to the Steel City Classic All-Tournament Team. AYO CLINIC aggie ayo played in a career-high 19 matches this season, giving quality time off the bench. She set up the gamewinning goal against Saint rancis U in the season-opener. VÉRONIQUE NORIQUE Véronique agenais is the first uquesne women s soccer player from the province of Québec. She helped anchor the defense that recorded six shutouts this season, starting all 15 of her matches. AKING A CASE Casey Aunkst had a great freshman season, starting all 18 of her matches. Playing mainly in the back, she also saw some time at midfield and recorded a multi-point game against Rhode Island. LOCK-OWN LARSEN Starting defender Emilie Larsen traveled 3,866 miles from her hometown of Porsgrunn, Norway to play for uquesne. She is the first Norwegian to play for the ukes. A.J. IS OK A.J. Baroffio made 14 appearances off the bench this season. This is the most among frosh keepers since Kelly O Neill also had eight in Her five shutouts also tied the freshman record with Gabby orrin in ALL-IN ALLIE Allie Holland, who was a two-year starter, battled off-season injuries to appear in 12 matches this season.
