John Gavin (0-0, --- ERA) is slated to make the start on the mound for the Giants tonight. Gavin will be making his California League debut after he was added to San Jose s roster from Augusta (A) earlier today. The Giants San Jose is 4-13 in their last 17 games. Following last night s loss, the Giants (48-64) fell to a seasonhigh 16 games below.500. San Jose has won only one series in the second half (3-1 vs. Visalia, July 13-16). The Giants have lost their last five series overall.
