4 Wake Forest Baseball Park Seating Capacity 6,000 Admission: Dugouts: Beginning with games in March admission is $6 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free to all February games and Tuesday/Wednesday games. Promotions and group discounts are available; contact Ike Fullard, Assistant Director of Marketing, at for more information. The visiting team dugout is located along the third base line. The Wake Forest dugout is located along the first base line. Field Dimensions: Left Field: 320 feet Left Center: 345 feet Center: 390 feet Right Center: 345 feet Right: 316 feet Inclement Weather: Locker Room: Parking: Decisions on postponements and cancellations will be made by the Wake Forest Baseball staff as early as possible on the day of the game. During Atlantic Coast Conference weekends, conference policy will be followed. Information on the status of games can be obtained by calling Please see Appendix A for complete Inclement Weather Procedures. A locker room with shower facilities will be provided in the visiting team clubhouse on the last day of a series. The visiting team clubhouse will also be available in the event of inclement weather. Visiting team buses or vans may be parked behind the visiting clubhouse. Spectators may park in the lot located in front of the stadium or in the adjacent Deacon Tower Lot. Spectators parking near the stadium should do so at their own risk and note that Wake Forest is not responsible for any damage due to baseballs. 2

5 Team Entrance: Player Guest Pass List: Player Guest Entrance: Practice Times: Press Box: Spectator Information: Supplies: Visiting teams will enter the field from the gate located immediately adjacent to the visiting team dugout. Visiting teams will need to provide a player pass list for parents and guests whom they wish to allow into the game (only for weekend series beginning in March). Pass lists are limited to 50 persons. Please use the attached player pass list and simply make copies as needed. Fax all pages of your pass list to Corey Jenkins at , or bring the list with you and turn it in prior to the first game. The player guest entrance is located at the front gate. The Wake Forest Baseball Park field will be available on game day for batting and fielding practice if weather and field conditions permit. Pre-game procedures are found on page 4. Additional requests will be accommodated if possible. Wake Forest Baseball Park has a climate controlled press box with 11 working press seats, two radio booths, and a television booth. The press box can be reached at Entrance: The entrance to Wake Forest Baseball Park is located in the front of the stadium off Deacon Blvd. Handicapped Facilities: Handicapped parking spaces are located outside the front gate. The handicapped seating areas are located at the top of each seating section. Restrooms: Restrooms are located on the concourse behind the press box. Concessions: The concession stand is located on the concourse along the third base line. Outside food and drink is not allowed to be brought into the stadium. 13 Directions to Wake Forest Baseball Park 401 Deacon Blvd. Winston-Salem, NC Traveling on I-40 East: Traveling on I-40 West: Take Silas Creek Parkway exit North, towards Wake Forest University. Take a right onto University Pkwy. Continue past campus and make a left onto Deacon Blvd. Wake Forest Baseball Park is located just past BB&T Field on the left. For visiting team bus/van parking proceed past the main entrance and turn left onto Shorefair Drive. The entrance is behind the outfield wall on the left. Take Cherry Street exit; follow Cherry and it will become University Parkway. Follow University (approx. 4 miles) and take a right on Deacon Blvd. Wake Forest Baseball Park is located just past BB&T Field on the left. For visiting team bus/van parking proceed past the main entrance and turn left onto Shorefair Drive. The entrance is behind the outfield wall on the left. Traveling on Highway 52 North: Take I-40 West. Take Cherry Street exit; follow Cherry and it will become University Parkway. Follow University (approx. 4 miles) and take a right on Deacon Blvd. Wake Forest Baseball Park is located just past BB&T Field on the left. For visiting team bus/van parking proceed past the main entrance and turn left onto Shorefair Drive. The entrance is behind the outfield wall on the left. Traveling on Highway 52 South: Take University Parkway exit. Turn right off exit ramp and drive south toward campus (about 8 minutes). Continue past campus and make a left onto Deacon Blvd. Wake Forest Baseball Park is located just past BB&T Field on the left. For visiting team bus/van parking proceed past the main entrance and turn left onto Shorefair Drive. The entrance is behind the outfield wall on the left. 11

14 Wake Forest Baseball Inclement Weather Procedures An inclement weather watch will go into effect when lightning is detected within 12 miles and moving toward the baseball stadium. At this time we will suggest that people exit the stands and seek shelter in their vehicles. Play will continue during an inclement weather watch, but the umpires and teams will be informed of the weather situation. Spectators will be allowed to re-enter the stadium at no cost. When lightning is detected within 8 miles and moving toward the stadium, play will be stopped, and the field will be tarped. Play will not resume until the lighting has left a 6 mile radius around the stadium. A mandatory evacuation of the stands will occur when lighting is detected within 6 miles and moving toward the stadium. If an approaching weather system has a history of lightning associated with it and reaches us without a lightning strike within 6 miles, we will still clear the field and stands since lightning could strike at any time. Wake Forest Athletics subscribes to the Meteorlogix weather service (also used by the PGA Tour). We receive lightning alerts via cell phone, and we also have access to a lightning/rain/severe weather radar. With this comes a future radar feature which is helpful in predicting the path and timing of a storm. We do not subscribe to the call in service that allows you to call 24 hours a day and speak with a meteorologist. We are able to call the NWS regional hub in Raleigh if the need arises. Appendix A

15 WAKE FOREST BASEBALL PARK GROUND RULES Foul Territory Behind Home Plate: The backstop is covered by the book rule. Any hole in the net in which a baseball could go through is covered by the book rule. Dugouts: All equipment must be stored in the dugout. The top step of the dugout is not in play. The blue railings are in play, but if the ball goes into the dugout the ball is dead. The chain link face of the dugout is dead and covered by the book rule. If the ball goes through the railing and stays in play, it is dead because it has gone through the railing entering the dugout. Gates: All gates are closed and latched during the game. Tarp: The tarp is in play. If a ball lodges under, behind, or on top of the tarp and the ball is not playable, the player is to raise his hand and have the umpire check. The ball is then dead. A player can lean on the tarp to make the play but the player cannot stand on the tarp: a player must have one foot on the ground to make the catch. First Base Bullpen: In-play unless it hits a player. Third Base Bullpen: In-play unless it hits a player. Fences: A ball lodged under the fence is covered by the book rule. Fair Territory Foul Poles: Foul poles are outside the ballpark. If a ball hits the pole or the screening above the fence it is a homerun. Flag Poles: The flag poles are out of the ballpark. If a batted ball hits a flag pole, it is a homerun. Scoreboard: The scoreboard is behind the fence and out of play. If a batted ball hits the scoreboard, it is a homerun. Fence: A ball lodged under the fence is covered by the book rule. Appendix B
