What a blessing it has been to return to school in my sixth year in the Sioux Falls Catholic Schools. While I teach and make music with amazing students, what we actually do in the music dept goes far beyond that. Students build friendships and experiences that transcend music. What a joy it is for me to witness. Thank you for letting me teach your children and be part of their lives. God's peace and blessings in this new school year! 2 To accommodate budget needs and complete choreography sooner, a few dates for Ovation! have been modified. I will be in contact with coaches and activity directors to communicate these changes. Sept 15th Practice is Cancelled due to Variety Show Oct 17th -- 19th Choreography Retreat is Added (starting at 4pm each day) Nov 4th and 5th Choreography Retreat is Cancelled Competition Updates (so far): Aberdeen on February 18th Sioux City on March 4th Mitchell on March 18th State Show Choir on April 8th (Vermillion on Feb 25th is Cancelled due to too many participant conflicts) Brian Rasmussen Director of Show Choirs CONCERT CHOIR NASHVILLE MEETING NOTES

5 NOTEWORTHY NEWS Congratulations to all students who auditioned for the 2016 SD All-State Chorus to be held in Sioux Falls on Oct We welcomed judges Kathy Ferguson from Lincoln HS and Terry Gullickson from Brandon HS for our auditions.
