A SMP meeting was held on 01 December at 21 SMP Rec Center Bldg Eddie Hadley called the meeting to order at List of those in attendance is provided on the sign in sheet (attachment 1). 2. Bachelor Housing Rep Please let your area housing managers know if there are any issues in your barracks Training sessions for BEQ managers available 5. Mr.Chris Massari Facilities Maintenance Division Not in attendance 6. Mr.Patrick McNulty Transition and Employment Services Transition Readiness TRS should be set-up at least months before EAS date for Junior Enlisted and 2 years in advance for Retirees. Financial Courses for Marines/Sailors are currently available such as personal financial and planning for transition. Assessments from VA available to assist in directing marines into a career or education Workshop for Warriors Course Deadline to apply Dec 23, Secure $18,000 worth of training in Welding or $37,000 of training in Machining for free! Earn multiple national certifications to prepare for great careers. This course Beings Jan 2 and ends April 21, 2017 and is held in San Diego. First Responder Course Deadline to apply is Dec 23, Earn as Emergency Medical Certificate and prepare for careers in the Paramedic field, Fire Department, Public Safety Security, or Healthcare. This course begins Jan 30 and ends March 24, 2015 and is held at Palomar College, San Marcos, uses GI Bill Funding. 7. Marine Corps Family Team Building Rep Not in attendance 8. Mr. Doug Hall Athletics CG Cup Series of Tournaments and Leagues during the year are starting up. These Cup activities are offered only to active duty personnel stationed aboard Camp Pendleton, with the exception of the Hard Corps Race Series. All Cup events are FREE to active duty personnel. Awards presentations follow the completion of the event. Units are able to earn points for competing in events. The top three units in each
2 division will win a cash prize at the end of each half and this cash prize. Jan 26 Paige Fieldhouse CG first event: racquetball There will be new options this year to the CG Cups Series such as Wipeout Challenge, Kayak Races, and Kickball. Youth Sports is currently accepting coaching packets for Spring Basketball, Cheerleading and Soccer Season. Participants must ride with SMP to the event. Participants will enjoy dinner provided by the Dana West Yacht Club. Business Casual attire is required. Open to single service personnel only, command permission slip is required prior to sign up. 12/25 SMP Christmas Stocking Giveaway All SMP Centers will observe holidays hours. If you didn t get to go home for the holiday, stop in and get a Christmas stocking from SMP and our sponsors.
