5 Park Homes Promotion Rincon Country RV Resorts are implementing a program that is intended to encourage and assist you, should you contemplate purchasing a new or used Park Model owned by the Resort, or in the purchase of a new unit from either Cavco or Chariot Eagle. We are in a position to sell any park owned unit listed at $20,000 or over for 25% down and finance the remainder through the resort to qualified buyers at a reasonable interest rate, with terms to be agreed upon by both parties. Additionally should you wish to upgrade from your present unit to purchase a new park model from one of the above listed manufacturers, Rincon Country would consider taking your present unit in trade. Certain restrictions apply. Talk to Joan, your Park Manager, final decisions rest with me. Park model living affords you the opportunity of not having to drive or tow your vehicle in two directions each year. Thank you George O Leary Quilt Raffle for Haiti A beautiful 90 x 78 hummingbird quilt, made by Kris Hubbard, is being raffled off. All proceeds from the sale, after the cost of the quilt ($200.00), will be sent to clintonbushhaitifund.org via credit card. Tickets are $10.00 each or 3 for $20.00 and will be sold until the end of February or until there is a sufficient amount to send. We hope to raise $1,000 to help aid in their time of need. The quilt is on display in the sewing room. Tickets may be purchased at each coffee or from Kris Hubbard, Lot 329 or Jean Braun, Lot The Illusion of Elvis Elvis Presley s voice, soul and presence would always cut through the deepest of scratched RCA records. This is what Danny Vernon found at a very early age when he began singing along with his Father s discarded albums. Unaware of Presley s vast impact in American culture and with a devout passion, Danny would sing and dance along with the King s music trusting that one day he would be recapturing his own Illusion of Elvis show on stage. Danny s professional experiences have included being a singer at lounges and nightclubs, and recording an original country album in Nashville receiving national airplay. This broad backdrop of skillful versatility helps give stability and genuineness to his Illusion of Elvis show. He enjoys performing all 3 decades of Elvis career, including the recklessly abandoned hillbilly cat 50 s, the sleek 60 s movie years including the Comeback Special, and the sexy 70 s jumpsuit years. In his own words, From the many years of admiration of Elvis, I ve sought to create a show that would hold the excitement of the King on stage throughout various stages in his career. I also try to show respect and support the integrity of the man and his music. With the voice, look, and passion of the twentieth century icon, Danny Vernon strives to recapture Elvis Presley s appeal to an ever-growing audience. You can see Elvis here on Friday, February 5 at 7:00 pm in our Auditorium. Tickets are only $7.00. Blood Pressure Volunteers are available in the sewing room every Wednesday immediately following Coffee to check Blood Pressures. A donation of $1.00 is appreciated.

7 From the Office The park is filling rapidly this month and we must issue another warning about parking on empty lots or absent resident s car ports. This is not allowed so please come to the office to obtain a parking permit for your guests or second vehicle. A great way to augment your income is to use the Refer A Friend program. If you refer a friend that has never been to Rincon Country RV Resort (either East or West) OR has not stayed here within the past three years, you could receive an award. If your friend stays a week or more you both get $20 credit on your account. If they stay a month or more, you both receive a $100 credit. One resident, in the West Park, found 8 friends that had not been in the park, and they each stayed a month or more. Each of the friends got $100 credit and the resident got an $800 credit. This is a great way to put funds towards your electric or even towards your rent. This program is for new RV guests. If you live in a Park Model and have an RV friend, that applies as well. Come to the office and pick up a form. When washers and dryers are out of order, please fill out a work order, located in a basket on the counter of the laundry room, and put on the washer or dryer that is not working. This will help the maintenance crew identify how to correct the problem more quickly. All traffic should proceed slowly when entering and exiting the storage area. We have had some near misses and urge you to proceed with caution. Everyone please stop at the sign and that includes bikes as well as vehicles. A warm welcome to all our new guests. Remember, you may purchase name tags in the office. The stick pin variety is $2.00 plus tax and the magnet is $5.00 plus tax. We are still collecting momisms - just drop them by the office. Joan aka TWOG The Dave and Daphne Show Dave and Daphne have become one of the most popular duos in the music industry today. They entertain at RV rallies, RV resorts, conventions, fairs and festivals. In the winter you can find them performing at one of the many fabulous Arizona and Southern California resorts. Dave and Daphne are pure and simple friends, who have combined their friendship and talents to create a fun, fast-paced show that keeps you entertained and will meet your every expectation. Their show has all the energy and excitement of a Branson show, or even a Las Vegas style production! Dave and Daphne are back by popular demand and are appearing here at RCE on Friday, Feb. 19th at 7 pm. Tickets cost $7.50 and are available in the Activity Office. Broadway Palms The Un-sinkable Molly Brown The irrestible rags-to-riches story about Molly Brown - the lovable country gal who s determined to make a name for herself as a society lady. 8 Gaslight Theatre The Cisco Kid It is 1810 and the revolutionary spirit is sweeping New Spain. Citizens are rising up against the harsh rule of the French Emperor and his ambassadors. In the midst of this, Francisco de la Corazon returns to reclaim his family s estate only to find greedy relatives have cheated him out of it. In fighting to regain what is rightfully his, Francisco must resort to methods outside the law. Joining a band of outlaws on his quest for justice, he not only triumphs over his adversaries, but also wins the heart of the fiery bandita, Rosita. Sign up and purchase your tickets in the Activity Office early! RCE has nabbed only 50 spaces at the Gaslight Theatre for this foot-stomping musical comedy melodrama. If you get a kick out of honky-tonk piano, cheering the hero and booing the villain while enjoying your favorite soft drink or beer, pizza, ice cream and mountains of free finger-lickin good popcorn, this production is for you. RCE Blood Drive Every two seconds someone in America needs blood, and this need remains constant despite holiday travel and celebrations. Each day, the Arizona Region Blood Services of the American Red Cross needs about 300 blood donors to support patients at local hospitals. Blood has to be tested, processed and shipped before it can be used. In an emergency, it s the blood on the shelves that was donated days before that actually goes to help the patient. You can help by donating blood in the Rec. Hall Feb. 24th, from 10 am to 2 pm by scheduling an appointment in the Activity Office. Stop in or call Thank You A Huge thank you to everyone involved in the Pancake Breakfast in January. It was a huge success and we are on the way to a beautiful Nativity Scene for next holiday season.

Surprisingly a large number of those suffering from heart disease do not have any obvious outward signs; for many, their very first symptom is a heart attack. Cathedral Health Services will be at RCE providing a health screening designed to detect cardiovascular and other diseases on Tuesday, February 16th. The goal of the health screening is to target the early detection of specific life-endangering conditions such as heart disease, stroke and aneurysm that can go undetected for long periods of time. Untreated, these conditions can cause needless personal pain, diminished quality of life and financial hardship. The program provides the following screenings: Heart Screening Atrial Fibrillation Stroke screening Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Thyroid Screening Peripheral Arterial Disease (Blood Oxygen Saturation, Blood Pressure and Pulse testing is provided to all who participate) Individual screening tests are offered for as little as $45.00; the heart screening is $100.00, while the complete screening package is offered for $ Appointments are required. In addition to the screening services CHS provides a consultation to review the results and to help identify personal health risk factors. This information can aid in the development of a personal wellness plan to assist in taking proactive steps to maintain one s health.
