7 Notes from Tim Hall, SIR Branch 160 Bowling Chairman, May 2016 Support your local bowling houses and your CCUSBC Association in 2016! Here is pertinent information about SIR Branch 160 bowling and pending tournaments: 1. As I have indicated in prior bowling reports, Bobby Silvius will no longer be the Bowling Chairman for Branch 160. He has parted with his balls and other equipment, and opted to spend more time on the open road with his Harley and wife Terri. I will do my best to function as both Tournament Manager and Bowling Chair in the future. My plan is to assist our Branch 160 bowlers and Branch 160 friends to develop teams and encourage participation in both SIR-sponsored and other local bowling activities and tournaments. (I hope, however, that none of you expect me to carry on with Bobby s quietly genteel, sensitive and restrained approach to life and the world of bowling ) 2. SIR Robert Brown Memorial Bowling Tournament will be held at Pinole Valley Lanes, Pinole, California, on Wednesday June 1 st and Thursday June 2 nd. This tournament is for SIRs and their guests and includes singles, doubles and all events. Applications can be found on the SIR website (siring.org) or by contacting the Tournament Manager, SIR Robert York, at (510) SIR Bowling Tournament at Tall Pine Lanes in Paradise, California, will be held on Tuesday June 21 st and Wednesday June 22 nd. This tournament is for SIRs and their guests and includes singles, doubles and all events. Applications can be found on the SIR website (siring.org) or by contacting the Tournament Manager, SIR Don Miley, at (530) SIR Bowling Tournament at Nu Generation Lanes in Yuba City, California, will be held on Monday July 11 th and Tuesday July 12 th. This tournament is for SIRs and their guests and includes singles, doubles and all events. Applications can be found on the SIR website (siring.org) or by contacting the Tournament Manager, SIR Buttacavoli, at (530) SIR Branch 113 Bowling Tournament at Knotty Pine Lanes in Pollock Pines, California, will be held in my former home bowling center on Saturday July 23 rd, Sunday July 24 th and Monday July 25 th. Applications can be found on the SIR website (siring.org) or by contacting the Tournament Manager, SIR Ray DiBasilio, at (530) I ll have applications with me at this month s meeting. This is one tournament we Branch 160 bowlers should not miss! 6. Don t forget SIR no-tap bowling on the 2 nd and 4 th Fridays of each month at Gold Dust West 11:00 am! Also Jim Winklepleck, owner of Silver Strike Lanes in Gardnerville, is also offering fun and potentially profitable Monte Carlo bowling the 1 st and 3 rd Saturday evening of each month 7:30 pm. Last week my wife Chrissy made a $75 colored pin shot and converted the Big 4 split for additional $$$! Tim Hall, Branch 160 Bowling Chairman BOWL ON! 7.
