I am a 17 year old grade 12 student at Eagle Butte High School pursuing a career in nursing. I run on the cross country team at Eagle Butte and I also enjoy snowboarding and Kick boxing. I figure skated for 11 years with the Medicine Hat Skating Club and have accomplished quadruple gold status with them. During my skating years I also had an active role in the CanSkate program as a program assistant, and am excited to be returning as a coach! 3 2 PA OF THE MONTH Brianna Jones AGE: 14 SKATING FOR 10 YEARS Program Enrolled In: Sr. StarSkate Other activities you like to do: hair, nails, makeup, drawing and going on her phone. Favorite thing about being a Program Assistant: seeing the kids being able to do something they have been taught, without my help! SWEET SUCCESS!!! What goals do I have to accomplish by the end of the skating year: Land more doubles, pass my Senior Silver Skills.

4 3 SKATER OF THE MONTH Rozlyn Scott AGE: 5 SKATING FOR 1 YEARS Program Enrolled In: Accelerated CanSkate Other activities you like to do: Read, play cards/board games, lego, jump on trampoline, swim. Watch movies with mom & dad and play soccer. Favorite thing about skating: making new friends, skating as fast as I can and playing games like scavenger hunt! What goals do I have to accomplish by the end of the skating year: Skate backwards, be able to do cross-overs, glide/skate on one foot

5 4 HALLOWEEN FUN The winners of the best pumpkin were far left Oscar the grouch - Mackenzie Duchscherer and far right Figure Skaters -Emma Enslen. The minion was done by- Kailey Duchscherer and the Smiley Face was done by Jordan Funk.

6 5 HALLOWEEN FUN We would like to thank Coach George and Alissa Funk for organizing and running it. Also to Melanie Bayer our Face Painting lady, who volunteered her time, it was a great hit! Also a huge thanks to our wonderful PA s who lost out on their own ice time to help set up and run the events; Jaida and Jeanna Gold, Mackenzie and Kailey Duchscherer, Jordan Funk and Euphoria Wallace. Lastly to all the parents who brought their skaters and snacks, it is your support that makes our club successful we hope you had lots of fun!

Our club will send out a Newsletter and Calendar every month with important upcoming dates and information. We have 2 bulletin boards located at the Kinplex 2 and the Arena. Here you can find Newsletters and Calendars to take home. Our website is an essential tool where we have direct links to our Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts. Plus all important dates, calendars, newsletters, registration forms and upcoming events can be found here. We also post calendars and information on our Facebook page so be sure to like our page. *Make sure to print off a calendar, as any changes to the schedule will be on that.
