IN THIS ISSUE THANK YOU QUOTE OF THE MONTH IMPORTANT DATES BIRTHDAYS WIZARD OF OZ SKILLS COMPETITION CANDID CAMERA CONGRATULATIONS BOARD MEMBERS MEET YOUR COACHES COMMUNICATION THANK YOU PA s THANK YOU The club would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our wonderful parents and skaters. You have made this year a very successful and fun year. It has brought us great joy to watch the skaters get better every week and come to love the sport of skating as much as we do! Every year brings growth and change, we learn how to communicate better, coach better, and run smoother; so that we can continue to offer superior programing. We appreciate any feedback from you to help assist us in this. We are excited to be offering for the first time spring classes for all levels which will start in May. Also watch for information on our summer camps that start in July. We hope you have a wonderful spring and summer and look forward to seeing your faces at the rink again next year! 8 9 Skills Competition
9 10 The second annual skills competition was a success. While many of our skaters couldn t attend due to a hockey tournament, the ones that came had lots of fun! The skaters were divided into different groups then preceded to stations to test their skills. The event was capped off with a fun game of shinny with the parents. Thanks to the dads that ventured onto the ice to participate. We have enjoyed our season with your skaters and the progress they have made throughout the year. We look forward to next season!

11 12 CONGRATS ABBY, SHELBY & SIERRA We would like to congratulate Abigail Doerksen on her grade 12 graduation and to a successful future in the Nursing program. Abby, has been a member of our club for the past 12years and was a Junior Coach for the last year. She has always been a huge help on and off the ice and is a wonderful mentor to all the skaters. Shelby Johnson is also Graduating grade 12 this year. Shelby is looking into the career of nursing as well. She has been a joy to watch skate and inspire all the other skaters over the last 10 years and has been a huge asset this year as one of our Junior Coaches. Good luck ladies in all your future endeavours! Sierra Dupas is our eldest skater and has been skating for 13 years and a member of our club for 4. It has been an honour watching her reach her goals. She has been accepted into the Nursing Program in Red Deer and we would like to take this time to wish her the best of luck and much success! Sierra Dupas Shelby Johnson & Abigail Doerksen
