When school is out, our pool will be open seven days a week. Riverside s pool programming begins soon; please check the calendar and/or the website for dates and times. Also, I d like to remind everyone that sign-ups for swimming lessons will be done only over the website this is to streamline the access points to register which will allow us to provide better staffing based on the numbers. The changes and improvements made on the golf course are nearly complete, and the comments from our golf members have been very positive! We are almost finished re-staining the clubhouse and on the 11 th, 12 th and 13 th of this month our parking lot will be sealed and striped. Last month we had a great Micro-Nine event on the golf course. This sold-out event featured heady spirits from Wild Rye distillery, a little rain, a lot of sunshine, and a beautiful, bright doublerainbow. Our members could not be deterred and had a great time. It s time to get busy Ladies league has begun; today 26 ladies came out to play on a beautiful Thursday morning. Wednesday is now officially Men s Day and we ll have a kickoff party to celebrate on June 7 th. The kids are out of school so keep them busy at Riverside. KE Camps will begin their Camp Riverside programs this month. We will offer five week-long sessions of Camp Riverside throughout the summer, so give the kids and yourself a small, well-deserved break. Cocktails on the Range, Nine and Wines, Pool Parties, Tennis Events; it s all going on this summer at Riverside. Take advantage and enjoy the summer with us! Come celebrate the 4th of July with Riverside Country Club with all these fun Tuesday activities: Flag Day Golf Tournament ALL DAY Each player will be given a miniature US flag with your name and the total number of strokes you are allowed to play. The golfer who stakes their flag the farthest around the course is the winner. Format includes the following: Make your own tee times starting at 7:00 am. Format will be 18-hole stroke play using full handicap. Two divisions: (1) Ladies and (2) Men's Men play from the blue tees while ladies from the gold tees. Cost is $20 per player Stars & Stripes Tennis Showdown 9:00am Find a partner or sign up as a single for this doubles event. Any kind of double can enter... meaning two women, two men, or a couple. And if you are a single and you want to play, just sign up and we will find you a partner. All participants are guaranteed at least three (3) matches. Camp Riverside, for campers ages 4 to 10, is that special place. The best part it is right here at our Club! Camp Riverside offers a traditional day camp experience in the convenient and familiar setting of our club atmosphere. At camp, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting activities including Swimming, Group Golf Instruction, Group Tennis Instruction, Arts & Crafts, Fun with Foods, Team Building, Super Science Projects, A Weekly Community Service Project, Wacky Wednesday theme days, Camp Traditions, and more. It is never too early to start planning for summer vacation and registration for Camp Riverside is open so get ready to join the fun! Please remember, we will be playing in six-somes (6 people per team), so plan accordingly when signing up a team. Space is limited as this is the most popular event of the summer. Reservations are required. Members and guests are expected to dress in an appropriate manner when using the golf course or any of the practice facilities. The Golf Professional shall interpret this requirement. Men and Boys: Clothing worn by players shall be consistent with currently accepted golf fashion. For men, an acceptable shirt must have a collar a traditional fold-down, a raised crew neck, or a mock turtleneck that clearly differentiates it from a T-shirt. Cut-offs, gym shorts, baggy cargo pants/shorts, running or tennis shorts, swimming suits and sweats are prohibited. Women and Girls: Golf shirts with collar preferred; tank tops, halter-tops and T-shirts with writing are not permitted. Gym shorts, sleeveless shirts without collars, cut-offs, short-shorts (any short less than the length of a Club scorecard above the knee), swimming suits and sweats are prohibited.

All players will be grouped according to skill level. Each Tuesday evening will include drills and stations where children will work on stroke development. Since the beginning of the year, the following projects have been completed, or are nearing completion: Two new bunkers on the greenside of hole 13; A widened approach to the green on hole 13; A new fairway bunker on hole 10; A new pond complex on hole 10; The second half of the roof on the maintenance shop was installed; A new greenhouse is being built by the maintenance shop; and, Extensive landscaping improvements have taken place and will continue throughout the season. I would like to thank my staff for the hard work they have put in on these projects, in addition to their efforts in getting the golf course ready for the season. A special thank you goes out to Sime Construction for their work in constructing the pond complex on hole 10 and to Christie Electric for providing electricity to the aeration system for the pond on 10. We are looking forward to a great 2017 golf season at Riverside Country Club, and we hope you enjoy the improvements we have made to your wonderful facility. Golf, oftentimes, makes for effortless dialogue and additional opportunities to better your game. Each of these leagues is open to all lady golf members. The golf course is dedicated to ladies golf league play on every Thursday morning starting at 8:30am through 12:00pm. Non-point counting league play begins in May. 18-Hole Thursday League 8:15am Pro-Quickie 8:30am Shotgun Start Cost: $100 for the season per person 9-Hole Thursday League 8:30am Pro-Quickie 8:45am Tee Times This league is geared for those golfers who do not want to play a full 18-holes of golf, those that are not totally comfortable about their golf game and anyone that wants to participate. The format includes: individual games, random pairings and long drive & closest to the pin contests. Costs $5 per day 9-Hole Tuesday Twilight League 6:00pm Shotgun This league is designed for those ladies that work, only want to play 9 holes in the evening or anyone else. The format will include: new games weekly and a long-drive & closest to the pin contest. Cost: $5 per day per person
