3 Rules & Conditions for All Florida Winter Circuit Shows 1)APPROVAL: All Winter Circuit shows are approved by The American Quarter Horse Association. Shows Jan 1, 2012 and after are also approved by The Florida Quarter Horse Association. All classes will be conducted in accordance with the current rules of the American Quarter Horse Association. 2)ENTRY FEES: In Tampa, For the GOLD COAST, there will be a Cap of $100 per show number on all entries for same horse entered in all divisions for which horse is eligible. Regular fees will apply if Cap is not reached. Regular fees: Open Performance and Halter $14.00 per judge. Youth and Amateur $12.00 per judge. Novice classes $10.00 per judge. Small Fry Walk/Trot classes are $5.00 per judge. In addition to class fees, either capped or regular, $5. per judge office, $5.00 per show number AQHA show processing fee. All Schooling is $30 per circuit Trail and/or Hunters. Fees for STAKES classes are given on individual show s cover page. 3)STALLS: Fees for all circuits are listed on stall reservation form for each circuit. There are 471 permanent stalls in Tampa in Horse Barns and 400 Vinyl stalls in Livestock Barns. There are 239 permanent stalls in Venice in Horse Barns and unlimited Vinyl stalls in tents. ALL STALLS ARE RESERVED ONLY WITH YOUR CHECK FOR FULL PAYMENT TO INDIVIDUAL CIRCUIT. DO NOT SEND OPEN CHECKS. NO REFUND FOR STALLS FOR ANY REASON AFTER DECEMBER 1, Stalls are required at the Florida State Fairgrounds. All horses on the grounds, showing OR non-showing must be registered at the office and must have a number issued. All non showing horses being ridden, schooled, led, or otherwise handled, must display number issued by office. 4)HEALTH REGULATIONS: All horses must travel with Original or Notarized copy of negative Coggins test dated within 12 months. Additionally, OUT-OF-STATE HORSES must travel with a Health Certificate less than 30 days old. State is strict on Coggins and Health Certificate Requirements. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL COGGINS TEST WITH YOUR ENTRY. FOR INTER-STATE TRAVEL, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR VETERNARIAN FOR INDIVIDUAL STATE REQUIREMENTS. 5)AWARDS: Circuit Champion and Reserve Champion Awards will be presented for each class (with a minimum of three entries) offered in each series of shows. Horse must compete in each show in each series to be eligible for that Championship. Ties will not be broken, and Co-Champions will be awarded. There will also be All Around and Reserve All Around Awards for leading horses as stated by each individual circuit. Ties for All Around will be broken using a tie breaker judge. In all cases the tie breaker judge is judge A. All Around horses must have competed in at least three divisions as defined by AQHA. All CIRCUIT points will be as follows: 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, If there are less than nine horses in the class, the winners will receive one more point than the number of horses placed above. A horse and rider must compete in at least a simple majority of the shows of that circuit for Circuit All Around. 6)STAKES CLASSES: will be scored using same point system as High Point Awards, using all scores of each judge, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, If less than nine horses in the class, winners will receive one more point than the number of horses placed above. 7)REGISTRATIONS: Only horses registered with the AQHA in the numbered sections of the Stud Book, including Permanent and Appendix are eligible to compete. Show Management will inspect the registration certificate of each horse entered. 8)EXHIBITORS: Must possess a current AQHA membership card, whether it be an Amateur, Youth, Novice Youth, Novice Amateur or Open card. Cards may be purchased in the show office. 9)JUDGES: All requests to a judge for his or her opinion must be made through Show Management. No exceptions. 10)DISCOURTESY: An act of discourtesy to a judge or any other Show Official on the part of an owner, rider, trainer, or groom will be cause for immediate disqualification of any horse or horses with which they are associated and entry fees for such horse(s) will be forfeited. 11)DOGS: All dogs must be on a leash at all times. NO LOOSE DOGS ARE PERMITTED AT EITHER LOCATION. DOGS FOUND ROAMING LOOSE WILL BE IMPOUNDED. A $25.00 FINE IMPOSED FOR REPEAT OFFENDERS. 12)RESPONSIBILITY: Florida Gold Coast, Inc. Florida Quarter Horse Association, Florida State Fair Authority, Fox Lea Farm, Edmondson Management, Inc.
