Brad Thompson (PBP) and Megan Zeman (Color) will call all of the action. LAST TIME OUT Denver was victorious at home against Fresno State by the score of 13-6 on Sunday, April 26. ABOUT DENVER The Pioneers finished the regular season 12-4 and 7-2 in MPSF play. Denver is led by Jill Remenapp who has 19 goals and 37 assists, while Nicole Martindale leads the team with 33 goals. ABOUT OREGON The Ducks come into Thursday s game with an 10-7 record and 4-5 in MPSF play. Oregon dropped its regular season finale at Colorado 8-6, on Sunday April 26. Oregon is led by Carly O Connell who has 32 goals and 15 assists in 17 games played this season. Olivia Pyne has 34 goals and seven assists through 17 games, while Cambi Cukar has eight goals and 35 assists. LAST MEETING This is the 16th meeting between the schools. Denver defeated Oregon 15-9 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, on April 24, Denver leads the all-time series O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN The Pioneers have tabbed four seniors as their captains this season; Hannah Hook, Kiki Boone, Jill Remenapp, and Chelsea Cook. RETURNERS The Pioneers return seven starters from last year s NCAA Tournament squad, including goalkeeper Hannah Hook. Jill Remenapp led the Pioneers in assists and finished second in the NCAA last season. Rachael McKinnon returns for her junior season; McKinnon s sophomore season featured 53 total points, including 51 goals. DEFENDING CHAMPIONS The Pioneers captured its first MPSF Tournament Championship in 2014 defeating the Stanford Cardinal 14-11, at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Stanford have won eight of the last 11 titles. California won it in 2004, Oregon in 2012 and Denver in DISHING IT OUT Senior captain Jill Remenapp became the all-time leader in points at the University of Denver on April 5, 2015, passing former teammate Kara Secora. The Woodbrine, Md., native currently sits with 298 career points, which is also third among active players in the NCAA. Remenapp ranks first in Pioneer history in assists in a single season with 74 in Last season, Remenapp racked up 51 assists. Currently the senior stands second on the all time assists leaders list in NCAA History with 190. Remenapp was voted All-America Second Team last season and was All-West First Team. MINDING THE NET Redshirt senior Hannah Hook is back as the Pioneers goalkeeper. Hook has started every game for the Pioneers this season and recorded 113 saves. Hook tallied 171 saves last season in the net for the Pios. Her 190 saves in 2013 ranks third all time in Pioneers history. RIDING THE STREAK Under head coach Liza Kelly s leadership here in Denver, the Pioneers have had the two longest winning streaks in team history. In 2013, the Pioneers had a 15- game win streak, while 2014 featured a winning streak of 17 games. Both winning streaks ultimately led Denver to NCAA Tournament appearances and two first round wins. A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN Since joining the MPSF in 2003, Denver has gone in conference play and 55-6 in eight seasons under head coach Liza Kelly. NEWCOMERS Denver welcomes in seven freshmen this season in Hanna Bocklet, Caitlin Derry, Riley Eggeman, Katherine Fischer, Kennedy Milburn and Finley Sutton. THE BRAIN TRUST This is the fourth season for assistant coach Lauren Benner. The University of Virginia alum was a volunteer assistant during the 2012 season but was quickly promoted to assistant coach that summer. Associate Head Coach Matt Lawicki is back for his third season in Denver.
