LAST TIME OUT Denver won its fourth straight game when they defeated the Dartmouth Big Green at home, ABOUT DENVER The Pioneers are 6-2 this season and 1-0 in MPSF play. Denver is led by Jill Remenapp who has 13 goals and 15 assists, while Kiki Boone has a team-leading 15 goals and has added three assists. The Crimson and Gold bring in a 17-game MPSF regular season winning streak into the contest. ABOUT STANFORD Stanford comes into Friday s game with a 5-2 record and 1-0 in MPSF play. Stanford dropped their last meeting against Cornell 15-7 on March 31. The Cardinal have dropped two of its last three after starting the season 4-0. The Cardinal are led by Kelsey Murray who has 15 goals and nine assists in four games palyed this season. Lucy Dikeou has 18 goals and four assists through seven games. Stanford is ranked No. 13 in the coaches poll and No. 11 in the media poll. LAST MEETING This is the 26th meeting between the schools. Denver defeated Stanford last season at Stanford during the regular season and again in the MPSF Tournament at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Stanford leads the all-time series O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN The Pioneers have tabbed four seniors as their captains this season. Hannah Hook, Kiki Boone, Jill Remenapp, and Chelsea Cook. I LL BE BACK The Pioneers return seven starters from last year s NCAA Tournament squad including goalkeeper Hannah Hook. Also returning is attacker Jill Remenapp who led the Pioneers in assists and was second in the NCAA last season. Rachael McKinnon returns for her junior season; McKinnon s sophomore season featured 53 total points, 51 of which came from goals. TEWAARATON WATCH LIST Both Jill Remenapp and Hannah Hook were named to the Tewwaraton Award Watch List. The award is given to the nation s top player. DISHING IT OUT Senior captain Jill Remenapp has made it her signature move to pile up numbers in the assist column. She ranks first in Pioneer history for most assists in a single season with 74 in Last season Jill racked up 51 assists. Currently she stands third on the all time assists leaders in NCAA History with 168. Jill was named second Team All-American last season and was first team All-West. MINDING THE NET Redshirt senior Hannah Hook is back as the Pioneers goalkeeper. Hook has started every game for the Pioneers this season and recorded 70 saves. Hook tallied 171 saves last season in the net for the Pios. Her 190 saves in 2013 ranks third all time in Pioneers history. RIDING THE STREAK Under head coach Liza Kelly s tenure here in Denver, the Pioneers have had the two longest winning streaks in team history. In 2013, the Pioneers had a 15-game win streak; 2014 featured a winning streak of 17 games. Both winning streaks ultimately led Denver to NCAA Tournament appearances and two first round wins. A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN Since joining the MPSF in 2003, Denver has gone in conference play and 49-4 in eight seasons under head coach Liza Kelly. HEY ROOK Denver welcomes in seven freshmen this season. Hanna Bocklet, Caitlin Derry, Riley Eggeman, Katherine Fischer, Kennedy Milburn, Delia Snediker, and Finley Sutton join the team for the 2015 season. THE BRAIN TRUST This is the fourth season for assistant coach Lauren Benner. The University of Virginia alum was a volunteer assistant the 2012 season but was quickly promoted to assistant coach that summer. Associate Head Coach Matt Lawicki is back for his third season in Denver.
