HAWAIIAN PUNCH: Sr. PG Kiki Robertson has shown through the fi rst third of the year why she is a Preseason All-GNAC choice and an All-America candidate... the two-time reigning GNAC Tournament MVP s 3.4 steals average paces the league by more than half a steal per game, while her 6.4 assists per game rank 2nd by just 0.2 apg; she is also 2nd in the league with a 3-to-1 assist/turnover Robertson ratio... in the national stats, she ranks 7th in apg, 6th in spg and 11th in A/T ratio... the 3-time 2nd Team All-GNAC performer started the season as UAA s career assists leader and claimed the GNAC record in the fi rst game this year, now with 603 and counting... McCARTHY IN CHARGE: Now in his fi fth season at UAA and sixth overall as a head coach, Ryan Mc- Carthy has led the Seawolf program to new heights, capturing back-to-back GNAC regular-season titles for the fi rst time and ascending to No. 1 in the national rankings in two consecutive campaigns... Mc- Carthy repeated as the WBCA s NCAA Div. II West Region Coach of the Year in , adding to his McCarthy GNAC Coach of the Year honor... in , the Anchorage native took UAA to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year, advancing all way to the National Title Game and earning an NCAA Div. II-record 38 victories... his club claimed the best winning percentage in program history with a 29-2 (.935) mark, sweeping both GNAC titles as well... McCarthy has led UAA to an improvement in overall wins (17, 19, 29, 38) and conference wins (11, 12, 17, 18) in each season at the helm playing its up-tempo Mayhem style, McCarthy s crew also led the nation in steals per game for the third season in a row...
