Dent is also 4th in the league with a 1.8- to-1 A/T ratio... along with Wright and Dent, Jr. F Megan Mullings gives UAA three former JC All-Americans on its roster... the South Mountain (Ariz.) CC transfer has six double-figure scoring efforts thus far, boosted by recent career-highs of 16 against McKendree and 20 against Texas A&M Kingsville... with her performance against Yale and Long Beach State, Mullings became the fifth Seawolf (Diane Dobrich, Kamie Jo Massey, Rebecca Kielpinski, Nicci Miller) to earn GCI Great Alaska Shootout Most Outstanding Player honors and just the fourth player from a non-champion in 34 years... in the GNAC stats, Mullings is 3rd in blocks per ame (1.9), along with ranks of 4th in FG% (.532) and 20th in steals (1.4 spg)... Mullings s 6 blocks against McKendree on Dec. 13 were the most for a Seawolf since Feb and two more than any other GNAC player has registered this season... So. F Alysha Devine returned to the lineup on a full-time basis for the last three games after battling the injury bug... the former Wasilla High star led UAA with a career-high 19 points against Pacific, capturing Seawolf Hoops Classic Player of the Game honors. McCARTHY IN CHARGE: Now in his third season at UAA and fourth overall, Ryan McCarthy earned his first NCAA Tournament as a head coach in , leading the Seawolves to an improvement in wins (17 to 19) and conference wins (11 to 12) from his inaugural season at the helm playing an up-tempo style, McCarthy s crew led the nation in steals and ranked 11th in NCAA Div. II in scoring, tying for third place in the GNAC standings for the second consecutive campaign formerly an assistant at GNAC rival Northwest Nazarene, McCarthy now sports a overall record (48-19 at UAA) as head coach in three-plus seasons, having served in an interim capacity at NNU in McCarthy is assisted by 2nd-year associate head coach Alex Carlson and 3rd-year assistant coach Shaina Afoa.
