UAA had dropped from No. 1 where it had stood for four weeks to No. 6 last week... this year s run gives UAA 12 weeks all-time atop the WBCA poll... the Seawolves were also No. 6 in the final D2SIDA national top-25 poll of the regular season. MIGHTY MULLINGS: Sr. F/C Megan Mullings repeated as a unanimous 1st Team All-GNAC selection and became the third Seawolf to capture the GNAC Player of the Year award... Mullings has made a strong case for All-America honors, averaging 16.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.6 bpg and 1.7 spg, while her.625 FG% ranks 2nd nationally and leads the GNAC by a whopping 87 percentage points... in the other Mullings GNAC stats, the Arizona native is 6th in scoring, 10th in rebounding, 5th in blocks and 11th in steals... after scoring just 8 points in each of the fi rst two games in Anaheim, Mullings has averaged 16.9 ppg on.641 FG% over her last 32 contests, scoring double fi gures 30 times... her 35 points in the win over Art U tied for 7th-most in program history as she became the sixth Seawolf to reach that plateau, while her 13 rebounds against Art U were four more than her previous best and marked her fi rst career double-double... more recently, Mullings captured her second GNAC Player of the Week honor this season after averaging 18.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.0 spg and shooting 16-of-24 from the fi eld in the road wins over Saint Martin s and Seattle Pacifi c... in 66 career games, Mullings has 53 double-fi gure scoring efforts, with plus performances... at.616 for her career, Mullings has the second-best FG% of any active player in NCAA Div. II and is on pace to break both the UAA (.550, Kaylie Robison, ) and GNAC (.604, Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe, SFU, ) records for shooting accuracy... along with her shooting numbers, the former JC All-American (South Mountain CC) holds UAA career ranks of 7th in scoring average (15.1 ppg), 15th in scoring (982 pts), 5th in blocks (100), 3rd in blocks per game (1.5) and 12th in FT made (216)... as a junior transfer from South Mountain (Ariz.) SPLASH SISTERS: The Seawolves boast the most prolifi c three-point duo in NCAA Div. II women s basketball as Sr. Gs Jenna Buchanan (234) and Jessica Madison (201) ranked 8th and 25th, respectively, on the active 3FGs made list... Buchanan who is No. 4 among all active NCAA Div. II players with her career.421 3FG% has earned First Team All- GNAC and CoSIDA Academic All-District awards Buchanan this season... the Galena native is UAA s 2ndleading scorer and 10th in the GNAC with 12.7 ppg, tallying 25 points at NW Nazarene and a careerhigh-tying 28 at MSU Billings... in the national stats, Buchanan is 9th in 3FG% (.454) and 18th in 3FGs per game (2.9)... she shot 4 of 4 from long range in Saturday s GNAC title-game win over MSU Billings to extend the NCAA Div. II single-season record by connecting on at least one trey in 35 straight games; Madison that record had stood since 1991 before she broke it Feb Buchanan has already claimed UAA s program records for career 3FGs, season 3FGs (103), and total consecutive games with a 3FG (39) as well...
