3 (17) and GNAC (11) win totals UAA s eight turnovers against WWU on Feb. 22 and at MSUB on Mar. 1 tied for the 6th-fewest on the UAA single-game list the Seawolves have set five program records this season, including team marks for the most rebounds (66 at Chaminade) and assists (34 vs Western Oregon) against Div. II opponents; the 66 boards against Chaminade also broke the old GNAC mark by one in the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout, the halftime deficit against UC Riverside was the 2nd-largest ever erased by a Seawolf club, trailing only the 15-point comeback against Seattle Pacific in the 2011 GNAC Tournament semifinals. FEEL THE BURNS: UAA s only 4th-year player, Sr. F Kylie Burns is heading to the NCAA Tournament for the third time, having played a key reserve roll on UAA s 2011 (2nd Round) and 2012 (Elite 8) squads a Second Team All-GNAC selection this year, she is averaging 12.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, boosted by a career-high 23 points in the loss to Georgetown and double-digit rebounds on five Burns occasions in the GNAC stats, Burns is 10th in rebounding, 14th in scoring, 8th in 3FG% (.377), 10th in minutes per game (30.1), 11th in 3FGs per game (1.6), 15th in FT% (.773) and steals (1.6 spg) the Kansas City, Kan., native and Preseason All- GNAC selection holds UAA career top-25 ranks in scoring (21st, 813 pts), rebounds (15th, 494), 3FGs made (8th, 111), 3FG% (17th,.333), FT% (9th,.754), games played (4th, 119) and total minutes (16th, 2,456) with 89 wins in a Seawolf uniform, Burns has also surpassed former teammate Alysa Horn (87 wins, ) for 4th all-time. FRESH DISHES: Despite missing out on GNAC Freshman of the Year honors, Fr. PG Kiki Robertson was the only freshman or sophomore anointed first- or second-team all-league last week, making Second Team All-GNAC the Honolulu (Mid- Pacific Inst.) product ranks No. 3 in NCAA Div. II with 3.3 steals per game and No. 17 with 5.0 assists per contest both tops nationally among freshman in Robertson the GNAC stats, she is 1st in steals, 3rd in assists, 3rd in A-T ratio (1.7) and 18th in FT% (.747)... Robertson has long surpassed the UAA freshman record with 136 assists, along with other program rookie ranks of 2nd in steals (89), 4th in games started (27), 6th in points (285), 6th in scoring average (10.6 ppg), 6th in FTs made (71), 7th in FG made (101) and 9th in FT% currently, she is six steals shy of Robin Graul s single-season record of 95 ( )... Robertson was an all-tourney pick at the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout and earned the GNAC Red Lion Player of the Week honor after totaling 33 points, 11 assists, 12 rebounds and 12 steals against UCR and Georgetown.
