Kim Marshall, playing her first career game at attacking mid, scored her second goal of the season to tally her first-ever game-winner. Lindsay Preston made two saves to earn her fourth clean sheet of the 2014 campaign. Riley Ridgik became the first Demon Deacon to reach double-digit points when she assisted on Marshall s 3rd-minute score. She scored her first-ever game-winning goal, taking all four of Wake Forest s shots on goal and a game-high five shots overall. Marshall becomes the first Demon Deacon to receive the honor in more than three years. Katie Stengel received it twice during the 2011 season - once in August, once in September. MILESTONE WATCH >> Riley Ridgik is two goals away from 20, two points from 50, and one shot from 150 in her career. Kim Marshall made her 5th start in her career, while Sarah Teegarden and Kendall Fischlein recently made their 30th starts. Fischlein made her 25th straight start at UNC. Rachel Nuzzolese, despite missing most of her senior year due to injury, also concluded her career with 26 goals. FRESH FACES >> Wake Forest has started at least seven underclassmen in every game so far, including exhibitions. All nine freshmen - Lindsay Preston, Maddie Huster and Sarah Medina, Monreau DeVos, Claudia Day, Casey Brown, Kahla Seymour, Pilar Torres and Ally Haran - have started at least once. Preston has earned four shutouts, Medina has a pair of assists, Torres has a goal and assist, and Day has a goal.
