The one-hour tailgate show is hosted by John Roth. Two-time Broadcaster of the Year Bob Harris, the voice of the Blue Devils for the past 33 seasons, calls all the action for Duke fans each game. He was inducted into the Stanly County (N.C.) Sports Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Sports Hall of Fame in Analyst Wes Chesson joins Harris in the booth each game and is in his 30th season providing color commentary for Duke games. 3 Game 5 - Duke vs. - Oct. 3, Offensive Notes Duke Scores 49 Points In Win Over N.C. Central Duke posted its highest point total since 1994 last week against N.C. Central. The Blue Devils scored 49 points, which are the most since a 51-point performance against on Oct. 22, Duke has scored 40 or more points twice under David Cutcliffe with a 41-point game against Navy last season. When scoring 40 or more points, Cutcliffe has a career record of He is 33-8 when scoring at least 30 points, including 2-0 this season and 5-2 overall with the Blue Devils. Central (Sept. 26, )...W, ACC Scoring Offense Boston College Duke Florida State Blue Devils Rack Up Yards Duke tallied 487 yards of total offense a week ago against N.C. Central. The Blue Devils rushed for a season-high 233 yards while passing for 254 in the game. It is the fi rst time since Oct. 27, 2001, against Vanderbilt that Duke has rushed and passed for over 200 yards in a game. The 233 rushing yards were also the most since the Blue Devils gained 218 yards on the ground to open up the season against James Madison. Duke Scores On Opening Drive The Blue Devils have scored touchdowns on their fi rst offensive possession in two straight games. Last week, Duke put together a fi ve-play drive, covering 59 yards that resulted in a touchdown on a 14-yard run by redshirt freshman Patrick Kurunwune. Duke drove 87 yards in just two plays for a touchdown on its fi rst drive at Kansas. Senior Thaddeus Lewis connected with Austin Kelly for a 66-yard pass on the Blue Devils fi rst offensive play. Pass Offense Among ACC Best Duke s passing offense ranks third in the ACC and 25th nationally this season, averaging yards per game. The 49 points scored last week against N.C. Central were the most since the Blue Devils scored 51 against Wake Forest on Oct. 22, David Cutcliffe registered the 50th win of his head coaching career last week in Duke s win over N.C. Central. 50 Junior kicker Nick Maggio has booted 50 consecutive PATs -- the third-longest streak in Duke history.
