The Green Knights and Titans renew a rivalry that began in UW-Oshkosh leads the all-time series with St. Norbert by a margin. Last Meeting Oshkosh defeated St. Norbert last Nov. 21 at Schuldes Sports Center in De Pere. The Green Knights shot 43.9 percent from the floor and turned the ball over only eight times. 2 Scouting the Green Knights St. Norbert finished last season including a 10-6 finish in the Midwest Conference. The fourth place finish was good for a trip to the Midwest Conference tournament for the first time under head coach Gary Grzesk, and the first time since the season. Senior forward Tom Katzfey is the leading returning scorer for the Green Knights. Katzfey average 10.2 points a contest last season, and also pulled down a team high 4.9 rebounds per game. Senior guard Mike Dowden averaged 9.4 points per game a year ago. Scouting the Titans Oshkosh finished fourth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association with a 17-9 overall record, and an 11-5 mark in the WIAC. The Titans return its top three leading scorers from a year ago. Junior forward D.J. Marsh averaged 17.1 points per game, while Seniors Matt Miller and Dane Seckar- Anderson averaged 16.2 and 15.2 points per game, respectively. Let s Get it Started Since , St. Norbert is in season openers. Under Gary Grzesk, the Green Knights are 1-1. St. Norbert lost to Augustana to open the season, and defeated Concordia (Ill.) in River Forest Ill. to begin last season. Defense Department St. Norbert finished 38th out of 389 teams last season in scoring defense, allowing only 64.1 points pre game. That number includes two games against high scoring Grinnell. If one would take away the 206 points allowed to Grinnell, the Green Knights would only have allowed 60.6 points per game. That number would have been good for 12th in the country.
