Navy is coming off a upset victory over Notre Dame, while Tulsa has won three straight contests including last week's dismantling of East Carolina. Navy leads the all-time series, 2-1, including a win last year in Tulsa. Navy is 23-5 (.821) over its last 28 games with three of the five losses coming against ranked opponents and all five of the losses coming away from home (Notre Dame at FedExField in 2014, at Notre Dame in 2015, at Houston in 2015, at unranked Air Force in 2016 and at unranked USF in 2016). The Mids own wins over top-15 programs Memphis (2015) and Houston (2016) during that same time period. The Mids are 11-2 (.846) in the AAC since joining the conference at the start of the 2015 season. Navy s senior class ( 17), which boasts a (.729) mark, needs one win to tie the school s all-time wins record over a four-year period. Last year s seniors ( 16) tied the Class of 1909 for the school record with 36. The Class of 2016 finished with a (.692) record, while the Class of 1909 went (.802). Navy enters Saturday's game with a 14-game home winning streak, which is the second-longest streak in the country. Only Clemson (20) has a longer streak. Over the last five years, Navy is 24-1 (.960) when winning the turnover battle. Under Niumatalolo, the Mids are (.744) in the months of November and December, including 15-3 (.833) over the last four years. John Sadak, Randy Cross and Sheehan Stanwick- Burch will call the action for CBS Sports Network. The Navy Football Tailgate Show on WNAV 1430 AM / 99.9 FM will air at 10:00 AM. The Navy Football Pregame Show with Pete Medhurst, Omar Nelson, Joe Miller and Tim Murray will get underway at 11:00 AM, followed by game action beginning at 12 noon on the Navy Radio Network. Following the contest, Medhurst, Nelson, Miller and Murray will recap the day s events in a 30-minute postgame show. GAME DAY FESTIVITIES The March-On of the Brigade of Midshipmen will be at 11:37 AM. A fly-over will take place at approximately 11:48 AM at the end of the national anthem by HSC-2. Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO (HELSEACOMBATRON TWO or HSC-2), also known as the Fleet Angels, is a helicopter squadron of the United States Navy based at Naval Station Norfolk operating the Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk. The Fleet Angels are a Fleet Replacement Squadron providing trained MH-60S crew to units on the East Coast. Former Navy football player Lt. Cmdr. Wayne Irons ('05) will be one of the pilots. Navy's 31 seniors will be honored in a pregame ceremony starting at 11:49 AM. Kickoff on Saturday is slated for 12:02 PM. The 2016 Navy men's lacrosse team will be honored between the first and second period. A year ago, the Midshipmen successfully balanced one of their most potent offensive units in recent memory with the nation s second-ranked defense to post an 11-5 record and eclipse the 10-win milestone for the first time since Navy earned the program s first NCAA Tournament berth since 2009 and went on to upset #3 Yale, 13-10, in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Patriot League regular-season champions finished the season ranked among the top 15 in both the USILA Coaches Poll (#15) and the Cascade/ Maverik Media Poll (#9), marking the first time it has finished the season ranked in either poll since At halftime, there will be a performance by Cheerleaders of America, as well as the Naval Academy Drum & Bugle Corps. The 1996 and 2006 Navy bowl teams will be recognized on Saturday on the 20th and 10th-year anniversary of their respective bowl season. The 1996 team posted a 9-3 record and defeated Cal, 42-38, in the Aloha Bowl. It was Navy's first bowl game in 15 years and first bowl win in 18 years. Tulsa Associate Head Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator Brian Norwood was on that staff, along with current Navy coaches Ken Niumatalolo, Ivin Jasper and Dale Pehrson. Outside linebackers coach Lt. Col. Robert Green, USMC, was a starter at corner on that team. The 2006 team turned in a 9-4 record and won the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy with wins over Air Force (24-17) and Army (26-14). Niumatalolo, Jasper, Pehrson, Danny O'Rourke and Chris Culton were on the coaching staff. Following the game, Navy s alma mater, Navy Blue & Gold, will be played as the team stands at attention in front of the Brigade of Midshipmen. It is one of the best traditions in all of sports.

It has defeated San Jose State, North Carolina A&T, Fresno State (OT), SMU (OT), Tulane, Memphis and East Carolina. Tulsa has won three straight games and is averaging 51.3 points per game over those three contests (50 vs. Tulane, 59 vs. Memphis and 45 vs. East Carolina). The Tulsa offense is similar to USF in that it is equally adept at running and throwing the football. The Golden Hurricane are averaging yards per game on the ground and yards per game through the air. Running back James Flanders has rushed for 1,080 yards and 14 touchdowns on 164 carries, while D'Angelo Brewer has rushed for 983 yards and five touchdowns on 186 carries. NORWOOD RETURNS TO ANNAPOLIS Former Navy secondary coach Brian Norwood returns to Annapolis as Tulsa's Assistant Head Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator. Norwood was an assistant coach at Navy from and was on the same staff as current Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo, offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper and defensive coordinator Dale Pehrson. Norwood was the position coach for current outside linebackers coach Lt. Col. Robert Green. Norwood's ties to Niumatalolo go much deeper than Annapolis. The two grew up together in Hawai'i and are best friends. NAVY FOOTBALL HEADED TO THE DALLAS- FORT WORTH METROPLEX AREA FOR BOWL GAME The Navy football team is headed to a bowl game for the 13th time in the last 14 years after a victory over Notre Dame Saturday at EverBank Field in Jacksonville. Navy already had a contractual agreement to play in the 2016 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl as an Independent before joining the American Athletic Conference. The Armed Forces Bowl will be played at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth on Friday, Dec. 23 at 4:30 PM (ET), 3:30 PM (CT) against a team from the Big 12. Navy is still very much in play for the Group of Five bid to a New Year s Six Bowl, which goes to the topranked conference champion among the Group of Five Conferences (American Athletic Conference, Mountain West, Conference USA, Mid-American and Sun Belt) as selected by the College Football Selection Committee. The Group of Five Champion will play in the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium (Cowboys Stadium) on Monday, Jan. 2 at 1:00 PM (ET), 12 noon (CT) against a team from the Power 5. If Navy is selected for the Cotton Bowl, that would preempt the contractual agreement with the Armed Forces Bowl. Tickets are available now for the Armed Forces Bowl at navysports.com Tickets prices are $30 (End Zone General Admission), $50 (Upper Level Sideline), $60 (Lower Level Goal Line) and $75 (Lower Level Sideline). Donated tickets for midshipmen and enlisted personnel and their families are $60. If Navy is selected for the Cotton Bowl, fans who purchase Armed Forces Bowl tickets can transfer their purchase towards a Cotton Bowl ticket or request a refund. GM 9 NAVY VS. TULSA: 3 NAVY OUTLASTS NOTRE DAME, (AP) - Will Worth ran for 175 yards and two touchdowns, his eighth consecutive game with a rushing score, and Navy beat Notre Dame, 28-27, last Saturday in the nation's longest-running intersectional rivalry. It was a rare victory in the series for the Midshipmen, who beat the Irish for just the fourth time since Notre Dame had won five in a row against Navy. Trailing with a little more than 7 minutes to go, Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly opted for a 31-yard field goal instead of trying to convert a fourth-and-4 play at the 14. He made the call even though his defense hadn't forced a punt all afternoon. Navy got the ball and ran out the clock with its tripleoption offense. Worth converted two huge fourth-down plays on the final drive, one on a dive play near midfield and another with a pass to Jamir Tillman that essentially ended the game. Worth took a knee after that, setting off a raucous celebration. Tillman finished with four receptions for 41 yards. Worth notched with his fourth straight 100-yard rushing performance and fifth of the season. Navy finished with 368 yards, including 320 on the ground. The Midshipmen actually punted once, but it was wiped out after a replay because Notre Dame had 12 men on the field. Instead, Navy kept the drive alive, converted a fourth-and-1 play and Worth later scored his second rushing TD and his 15th of the season. CONTROLLING THE FOOTBALL The Notre Dame offense was limited to just six possessions in Navy's victory. The Irish had it four times in the first half - touchdown, field goal, punt, touchdown - and just twice in the second half - touchdown and field goal. It is the fewest possessions by an FBS team since 2008 when Northern Illinois had just six possessions in a loss to Navy. SENIOR DAY Navy will honor its 31 seniors in a pregame ceremony. The senior class has compiled a (.729) record, won two Commander-In-Chief s Trophies and has won three bowl games with a chance to become the first class in program history to win four. This group of seniors could go down as the winningest senior class in school history. It needs one win to tie and two wins to break the school s all-time wins record over a four-year period. Last year s seniors ( 16) tied the Class of 1909 for the school record with 36. The Class of 2016 finished with a (.692) record, while the Class of 1909 went (.802). Navy has won 13 consecutive games on Senior Day. The Mids' last loss on Senior Day was on Nov. 16, 2002, in a 38-0 loss to UConn. Navy s 31 seniors include: Josh Antol (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.), Alex Barta (Clarkston, Mich.), Kyle Battle (Temple, Texas), Cameron Bryant (San Diego, Calif.), Calvin Cass Jr. (Sicklerville, N.J.), Ted Colburn (Northport, Ala.), Blake Copeland (Muscle Shoals, Ala.), Rob Dusz (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Patrick Forrestal (Albany, Ga.), co-captain Daniel Conzales (Tucson, Ariz.), D.J. Grant-Johnson (Hilo, Hawai'i), co-captain Toneo Gulley (Akron, Ohio), Ryan Harris (Mission Viegjo, Calif.), Mike Kelly (West Chester, Ohio), Amos Mason (Nashville, Tenn.), Maurice Morris (La Porte, Texas), Kendrick Mouton (Naples, Fla.), Josiah Powell (Providence, Ky.), Jeremiah Robbins (Arlington, Texas), Dishan Romine (Louisville, Ky.), Tago Smith (Fayetteville, Ga.), Myles Swain (Macon, Ga.), Daiquan Thomasson (Clayton, N.C.), Troy Thompson (Powder Springs, Ga.), Jamir Tillman (Las Vegas, Nev.), Julian Turner (Warrensville Heights, Ohio), Nnamdi Uzoma (Wake Forest, N.C.), Jalen Wade (Spring Hill, Tenn.), Adam West (Spring, Texas), Shawn White (Palm Coast, Fla.), Will Worth (Valrico, Fla.). 11 FOR 11 Navy has had 11 consecutive senior classes go undefeated against Army West Point.

4 4: 2016 NAVY FOOTBALL GAME NOTES MORE ON NIUMATALOLO NIUMATALOLO NAVY S ALL-TIME WINS LEADER Ninth-year head coach Ken Niumatalolo has led the Midshipmen to a (.655) record and is the program s all-time winningest coach. He is 8-0 all-time against Navy s biggest rival, Army West Point, and is the first head coach in the history of the Army-Navy game to win his first eight games against the rival service academy. His eight wins against the Black Knights are tied for the most in Army-Navy history with College Football Hall of Fame Coach Army West Point s Earl Blaik, who was just (.500) from against Navy. He is the fastest in school history to reach 50 wins, earning his 50th victory in 2013 against Temple in what was his 81st career game. He is one of eight active coaches that are the all-time winningest coach at their respective schools. Two of the eight have been the only coach in that school s history. He is the 15th-longest tenured head coach in the FBS taking over the head job at Navy on Dec. 8, His four bowl wins are the most in school history and he is the only coach in school history to win threeconsecutive bowl games. Niumatalolo has four wins against Top 25 opponents, which is tied with George Welsh for the second most in school history. Eddie Erdelatz holds the record with nine. Niumatalolo has three wins over Notre Dame, which is tied with Wayne Hardin for most in school history. Niumatalolo is the first Samoan head football coach on the collegiate level and the second Polynesian head coach in FBS history (Larry Price, who was the head coach at Hawai i from , was the first). Navy (4-1) and Tulsa (4-1) are tied for first, while Houston (4-2) is a 1/2 game back and Memphis is one game back. Navy owns tiebreakers over both Houston and Memphis. With a win on Saturday over Tulsa, Navy would need to win just one of its final two games (at ECU, at SMU) to clinch the West Division title. In the East Division, Temple (5-1) is in first place, while USF (4-2) is a 1/2 game back and UCF is 1/5 games back. Temple owns the tiebreaker over both teams. The AAC is the only FBS conference where every team has won at least three games this year. Road teams are (.344) in AAC games this year. UCF (2-1), Temple (2-1) and Memphis (2-1) are the only teams with two road wins. HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE Navy has won 14 consecutive home games dating back to the 2014 season. The Mids' last home loss was to Western Kentucky, 36-27, on Sept. 27, Navy s 14-game home winning streak is the second longest in the country behind Clemson's 21. While Navy s 14 consecutive home wins is the longest in Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium history (1959-present), it's not the longest in school history. It's the longest home winning streak since when the Mids won 21 straight. During that era, Navy would play just one or two home games per year, mostly against weaker competition, and played its premier home games in either Baltimore or Norfolk. During that streak, Navy won the final eight games played at Thompson Field and the first 13 games played at Navy- Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Navy won a program-record seven games at home (7-0) in The Mids are 4-0 at home this year, outscoring the opposition, The Mids are 38-9 (.809) at home under head coach Ken Niumatalolo, including a 23-3 (.885) mark over the last five seasons. American Athletic Conference schools are wearing P6 decals on their helmets as part of a league initiative. BEST NONCONFERENCE WINNING PERCENTAGE Rk Pct. Team W-L SEC ACC Big Ten Pac American Big Mountain West Mid-American Sun Belt Conference USA WE WILL! The team slogan for this year is We Will! in memory of former Navy football player Will McKamey. McKamey entered the Naval Academy with the current seniors in 2013, but collapsed on the practice field during spring ball and died while in a coma on March 25, 2014, at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. OKLAHOMA BORN Navy has two players from the state of Oklahoma. Junior starting fullback Chris High hails from Oklahoma City, while freshman quarterback Jonah Llanusa is from Midwest City. THE RACE TO 700 WINS Navy needs two more wins to become the 24th team in the FBS and the first Service Academy to reach 700 wins in its history. Navy's has amassed a record in what is its 136th season of football. Michigan is the all-time leader with 934 wins, while Notre Dame is second with 895. 6 6: 2016 NAVY FOOTBALL GAME NOTES IN THE CLASSROOM The rigors a student-athlete faces at a Service Academy are unlike those a typical student-athlete might encounter on a day-to-day basis. Whether it s the added military training, mandatory room or uniform inspections or the academic schedule, Service Academy student-athletes are in a league of their own. The Naval Academy s academic day is divided into six 50-minute class periods beginning at 7:55 am and concluding at 3:20 pm. Unique to the Academies, all 4,400 Midshipmen reside on the Yard in Bancroft Hall and dine together in King Hall. Being elected team captain at the Naval Academy is one of the highest honors you can receive at an institution that prides itself on producing great leaders, said Niumatalolo. Toneo and Daniel are not only outstanding football players, but they are great leaders in the locker room and in Bancroft Hall and I have no doubt that they will be great captains for us. Gulley has played in 35 of Navy s 39 games over his career, earning three varsity letters. He has been a key player for the Mids not only on offense as a runner and blocker, but on special teams as both a kick returner and on kick coverage. Last year, he played in 12 of 13 games carrying the ball 12 times for 189 yards and three touchdowns, while catching two passes for 30 yards. He has been in on 14 tackles during his career and has returned 12 kickoffs. Gonzales has started 24 of Navy s last 26 games at linebacker and has recorded 151 career tackles, including five tackles for a loss and four interceptions. He has played great in Service Academy games, contributing 38 tackles in four appearances. Last year, Gonzales recorded 65 tackles, four tackles for a loss, intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble for a Navy team that finished 11-2 on the year. WHERE THERE S A WILL, THERE S A WAY In his first two career starts against UConn and Tulane, senior quarterback Will Worth led Navy on fourthquarter drives to give the Mids a come-from-behind win. They were his first two starts since high school. Against UConn, Navy trailed with 4:57 left and Worth, set up by a 26-yard punt return by Calvin Cass Jr., drove the Mids 17 yards in four plays and scored the game-winning touchdown from one-yard out to give Navy a lead with 3:08 left. Navy held on to win after the Mids defense made a goal-line stand in the final seconds. Against Tulane, Navy trailed with 7:39 remaining and Worth led the Mids on a 10-play, 72-yard drive over 4:48 and capped it himself with a one-yard TD run with 2:57 left to give Navy a lead. Worth then hit a wide open Toneo Gulley in the flat for the key two-point conversion and the Mids held on for the win. Worth is the first Navy QB to lead the Mids to comeback victories in the fourth quarter in back-to-back games since Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada did it against Air Force and Pitt in Worth was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll in each of his first two weeks as a starter. After an off week against Air Force, Worth bounced back against #6 Houston, rushing for 115 yards and one touchdown on 32 carries, while completing three of his five pass attempts for 76 yards and two touchdowns in leading Navy to a upset of the Cougars. He was named AAC Offensive Player of the Week and was a finalist for the Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Week award. Worth was even better the next week against Memphis, earning AAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition after rushing for a career-high 201 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries, while completing three of his four pass attempts for 85 yards and two scores as the Mids rolled up 532 yards of total offense, including 447 yards on the ground. Worth's 201 rushing yards against Memphis were the most by a Navy player since Keenan Reynolds rushed for 277 yards on 30 carries and six touchdowns against Georgia Southern on Nov. 15, The three rushing touchdowns are the most by a Navy player since Reynolds scored three against Pitt in the 2015 Military Bowl and his five total touchdowns (rushing and passing) were the most by a Navy player since Reynolds was responsible for five against SMU (four rush, one pass) on Nov. 14, He was named the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week, the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week and was an O'Brien Award Great 8 recipient for his performance against the Tigers. Worth set a school record with 428 yards of total offense and accounted for five touchdowns in Navy's loss at USF. He rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries, while completing 15 of his 25 pass attempts for a career-high 299 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Worth is the first Navy player to rush for more than 100 and throw for more than 200 yards since Keenan Reynolds rushed for 109 yards and threw for 233 yards against Delaware in His 299 yards passing are the most by a Navy quarterback since Reynolds threw for 312 against Houston in He is the first Navy player to rush for four touchdowns in a game since Reynolds ran for four against SMU last year. Worth was sensational against Notre Dame, rushing for 175 yards and and two touchdowns on 28 carries and completing five of his eight pass attempts for 48 yards, including a key 15-yard completion on fourth and six to Jamir Tillman to clinch just the 13th win by Navy over Notre Dame in 90 tries. Worth has now rushed for more than 100 yards in five games this year, including in each of the last four games. He has scored a touchdown in every game this year. His eight straight games with a rushing touchdown is the longest in the country and is tied for the third-longest streak in school history. He is just one behind secondplace Ricky Dobbs. His 15 rushing touchdowns are the fourth most in the country. Worth is averaging 11.3 points per game, which is tied for the third-best scoring average in the country. Navy has failed to score seven times in the red zone this year, including a 3-for-6 performance against UConn. Navy was stopped on fourth-and-goal from the one, had a field goal blocked and had a fumble returned for a touchdown. Navy also took a knee in the red zone to end the game against Tulane, was stopped on fourth down in the fourth quarter against Houston, had a Will Worth fumble that hit the pylon in the Memphis game and took a knee to end the Notre Dame game. All told, the Mids are (.833) in the red zone, with 32 of those scores resulting in touchdowns (.762). The defense has given up 22 scores in 24 opportunities (.917), but just 14 of those scores have resulted in a touchdown (.583). 30 POINTS IS THE KEY Under Ken Niumatalolo, the Mids are (.800) when scoring 30 or more points in a game. TURNOVERS The Navy defense has forced at least one turnover in 25 of the last 28 games, including six of eight games this year (Mids are 5-1 when the defense creates a turnover). During that 28 game span, the Mids have forced 48 turnovers (24 interceptions and 24 fumbles). The Mids have recovered six fumbles and picked off three passes so far this year. DEFENSIVE SCORES The Mids have two defensive touchdowns this year, which is tied for the 24th most in the country. Alohi Gilman returned a fumble that he caused for a touchdown against UConn, while Josiah Powell picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown against Houston. MERCHANT COMING UP BIG Elijah Merchant's fourth quarter forced fumble in the Memphis game was his third forced fumble of the year. He is first on the team and tied for ninth in the country in forced fumbles per game (0.43). ALOHI MEANS GOODBYE Freshman defensive back Alohi Gilman, who hails from the same hometown as head coach Ken Niumatalolo (Laie, Hawai i) had an incredible game against UConn in what was the first start of his career. Gilman earned AAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after he recorded 10 tackles, forced a fumble, recovered two fumbles and returned one of those fumbles two yards for a touchdown in Navy s victory. Gilman had a career-high 12 tackles in Navy's upset win over Notre Dame. Gilman is second on the team in tackles with 47, while his two fumble recoveries are tied for the 11th most in the country. He also has three tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and has broken up a team-high tying four passes. SPECIAL PLAYERS Senior linebacker Ryan Harris led Navy s special teams last year with 17 tackles (16 on kickoffs, 1 on a punt). He started the 2016 season out with a bang, drilling Fordham returner Jihaad Pretlow on the opening kickoff. Pretlow fumbled the ball and Navy s Taylor Heflin recovered it at the Fordham seven-yard line. Quarterback Tago Smith scored on the next play. He had two tackles on kickoffs against UConn and although he wasn t officially credited with a forced fumble in that game, he was the second player in on the hit that jarred the ball loose from Huskies returner Tyraiq Beals. Khaylan Williams was credited with the caused fumble. Harris has seven special teams tackles so far in ROMINE A THREAT Senior slot back Dishan Romine became a threat as a kick returner last fall, averaging 27.3 yards per return on his 24 returns with a long of 90 yards against Tulsa. He was ranked 11th in the country in kickoff returns and the team ranked 25th (24.22). Romine is averaging 24.9 yards per kickoff return this year. As a team, the Mids rank 17th in kickoff returns (24.57). Romine s career kickoff return average of 26.4 (40 returns for 1,054 yards) ranks third all-time at Navy. In 13 games a year ago, Navy returned 11 punts for 67 yards. CONTINUITY IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS Navy has lost just five coaches in the nine years Ken Niumatalolo has been the head coach (three changed jobs, two retired). Six of Navy s coaches (five assistants and Niumatalolo) have been in Annapolis for at least 10 years, giving Navy, along with Air Force, the most coaches in the country that have been at the same school for 10 years or more. Defensive coordinator Dale Pehrson is in his 21st year at Navy, Niumatalolo is in his 19th year, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ivin Jasper is in his 17th year, slot backs coach and special teams coordinator Danny O Rourke is in his 15th year, offensive line coach Chris Culton is in his 14th year and outside linebackers coach Jusin Davis is in his 10th year. 9 SERVICE ACADEMY DOMINANCE Navy has been the dominant Service Academy over the last decade plus, winning 24 of the last 28 meetings (.857) against Air Force and Army dating back to the 2002 Army-Navy game. The Mids have posted an overal record of (.669) since 2003, won 10 CIC Trophies in the last 13 years and have gone to 13 bowl games in the last 14 years. NAVY TAKES HOME HONORS AFTER HOUSTON WIN Senior quarterback Will Worth, senior outside linebacker Josiah Powell and sophomore kicker Bennett Moehring were named American Athletic Conference Players of the Week after Navy's win over Houston. It was just the third time in league history that one school swept all three awards (Houston in 2013, UCF in 2014). Worth rushed for a career-high 115 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries against a unit that led the NCAA in rushing defense and threw two touchdown passes among his three completions, including a 17-yard TD to start the third quarter that gave Navy the lead for good. Worth was one of eight quarterbacks selected as finalists for the Davey O Brien National Quarterback of the Week. He was joined by Washington s Jake Browning, USC s Sam Darnold, Tennessee s Joshua Dobbs, Washington State s Luke Falk, Alabama s Jalen Hurts, Texas A&M s Trevor Knight and Oklahoma s Baker Mayfield. Powell had two pivotal interceptions the first two of his career along with three tackles leading a defense that scored 17 points off of turnovers. His first interception allowed the Mids to close the first half with the tying field goal, and he returned his second pick 34 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to give Navy a lead. Moehring scored 14 points, making all three of his field goal attempts (24, 38, 40 yards, each a career long) and going 5-for-5 on PATs. His first two field goals tied the game in the first half, while his third came with 4:38 left in the fourth quarter and gave Navy a lead. Ken Niumatalolo was selected as The Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week, which honors the football coach whose program embodies the award s three pillars of scholarship, leadership and integrity, while also having success on the playing field during the previous week. 10 10: 2016 NAVY FOOTBALL GAME NOTES NAVY AND UNDER ARMOUR FORM MULTIYEAR PARTNERSHIP The Naval Academy Athletic Association and Under Armour, Inc. announced a multiyear partnership in 2014 that designates Under Armour as the official outfitter of Navy s varsity intercollegiate athletic program. Under Armour, the leading sports performance and innovation brand, will outfit all of the Navy s 33 men s and women s varsity athletic teams beginning in the season. The comprehensive partnership also includes marketing and promotional opportunities. Under Armour has been a consistent and dedicated supporter of the military through its corporate UA Freedom initiative and long-standing association with organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project. Through an intercollegiate athletic program that is one of the largest in the country, and a highly organized club sports program and intramural sports program, each midshipman, male and female, is afforded the opportunity to compete in athletics at a level commensurate with his or her abilities. The emphasis on physical fitness is borne out in the first line of the mission of the Naval Academy: To develop midshipmen morally, mentally and physically. The NAAA arranges the scheduling of over 500 contests in 10 conference affiliations for intercollegiate athletics, including the 33 varsity sports and 12 plebe/junior varsity teams, provides coaching staffs, all operational expenses and equipment, and maintains a fully staffed central office to handle the administrative details of the intercollegiate and club sports athletic programs. In addition, it makes all arrangements for approximately 1500 student-athletes who are members of the Navy sports teams for competition either in Annapolis or when they go on the road.

Oct. 20, 2012 Navy scored 10 points in the final 5:30 to come from behind and shock Indiana, 31-30, on Homecoming. Keenan Reynolds hit Matt Aiken with a touchdown pass with 2:02 remaining to give Navy the lead and a Parrish Gaines interception clinched the Mids first win over a BIG TEN opponent at home since Oct. 26, 2013 One week after missing an extra-point against Toledo in the second overtime, Nick Sloan booted a 30-yard field goal against Pitt as time expired to give Navy a thrilling come-from-behind victory. Nov. 15, 2014 Keenan Reynolds rushed for a career-high 277 yards and a stadium-record six touchdowns to lead Navy to a victory over Georgia Southern. The win was the 11th on the year for Navy, setting a school record. Sept. 10, 2016 Navy stopped UConn on the one yard line in the final seconds to hold off the Huskies, 28-24, to improve to 2-0 on the year.
