Use the following link: Your static (non-livestock) exhibit write-up answer three questions: 1. What was your exhibit goal(s)? (What did you plan to learn or do?) 2. What steps did you take to learn or do this? 3. What were the most important things you learned? You may answer these written or typed on a piece of paper. A very basic template is available at the office too. You may add to your write-up with additional information, pictures, etc. as it relates to the exhibit. If appropriate, include an understanding of one or more elements and principles of design in the exhibit. Photo exhibits will use the Photo Label Form which asks the three questions. Static Exhibit Notes o o o o o For pairs of items (jewelry, shoes, etc.) display 1 of the items only. Label all pieces of your exhibit, especially if separate pieces (name and class). All exhibit items should be attached. This includes the exhibit (and any pieces), the exhibit tag, and the exhibit writeup. Exception: do not attach the photo label form unless the photo is non-conferenced judged Check the fairbook for special exhibit dimensions (posters, etc.) Exhibit Tags Will Be Mailed To The Exhibitors. These Are New With The New Fair Entry Program. The static judging experiences July 17 and 22 Please remember, judges have many exhibits to judge and limited reading time as they have a conference with exhibitors about the exhibits. Each judge s decision is final. If an exhibit from a 4-H er (in grades 5-12) receives an orange dot, then the final ribbon placing for the exhibit is still being considered. An orange dot does not guarantee exhibition at the state fair. One of the following ribbons will be awarded to the exhibit: blue, purple, alternate state fair, or state fair. For 4-H ers in 4 th grade and for county fair classes that do not have a state fair class, exhibits can also receive an orange dot. This means the final ribbon placing is still being considered and may result in a blue, purple, Top Award. FFA exhibits can also receive an orange dot. Final ribbon placing option for orange dots is a blue or a purple ribbon. July 17 Photography, Music, & Visual Art Exhibits Evaluated At North Grand Mall 10 am 4 pm Exhibit Check-in.
