Any student wh requires an asthma inhaler shuld carry it with them at ALL times. Any students wearing, I-Pd/MP3 r ther devices will be disqualified. (SAFETY) 12 minutes is the cut-ff time students MUST be able t cmplete the curse in 12 minutes. All runners will wear bibs (pick-up at tday s Caches Meeting) Apprpriate dress is schl gym strip r unifrm. NO SHORT-SHORTS and NO JEANS n the curse! Ensure students wear prper ftwear. Prjected team size is set by identifying the schl s divisin and the ptential team size shuld a schl submit a cmplete rster fr each categry. The lcatin and schedule fr each race prvides: Based n schl size, eligible scring is determined by setting a maximum # f runners per categry that wuld scre pints fr the schl. This system will ensure bnafide runners attend race and will ensure the event will be cmpleted n time. TIER STRUCTURE TIER1 (325+ students) Schls wuld be allwed t enter up t 30 RUNNERS PER CATEGORY/PER GENDER X 6 race categries fr a TOTAL OF 180 RUNNERS. (i.e., 30 Grade 9 Girls, 30 Grade 9 Bys, 30 Grade 8 Girls, 30 Grade 8 Bys, 30 Grade 7 Girls, 30 Grade 7 Bys) TIER 2 (230+ t 325 students) Schls may send up t 25 RUNNERS per categry. TOTAL OF 150 RUNNERS TIER 3 (Under 230 students) Schls may send up t 20 RUNNERS per categry. TOTAL OF 120 RUNNERS TIER 4 (Under 140 students) Schls may send up t 15 RUNNERS per categry. TOTAL OF 90 RUNNERS Please adhere t apprpriate Safety Guidelines f 1/12 rati due t the significant number f participants.

3 RESULTS Individual runners cmpete against all ther students in the race. Aggregate scres cmpare t aggregate ttals versus ther schls within the same Tier. This als means that runners cmpete against all ther runners/schls in same tier (even thse running at different event n different day). Fr instance, St. Rse f Lima scres are cmpared t ther Tier 1 schls nly nt the schls at their races. TOP 10 FINISHERS in every race qualify fr City Finals. Srry NO alternates!! Student representing schl must have teacher with them. 4 START LINES START AREA INFORMATION As races decrease in length frm Grade 9 t Grade 7, start areas will mve up with each grade. Runners will be marshalled in a central lcatin and then mved up fr each race start. As well, tp runners frm schls will be placed at the frnt f the start area fllwed by ther runners frm their schl. Please have the vlunteers at the site fr 11:30 am. Vlunteer Lanyards will be prvided. PARTICIPATION BY ENROLMENT In an effrt t ensure adequate supervisin and cmpetitin, schls are limited in the number f runners allwed in each categry based n schl size.
