2 NOTES AUSTRALIAN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS: (a) (b) (d) (e) (f) (c) These qualifying standards must be achieved in a NATIONAL EVENT r STATE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS, r ther Diving Australia sanctined qualifying event in the 12 mnths preceding the relevant cmpetitin. Athletes wh have qualified t cmpete at the Australian Open Champinships must cmpete at the Australian Open Champinships with the minimum DD listed abve. Whilst it is nt a requirement t attain qualificatin fr the event, t be cnsidered fr the DA Natinal Squad r the Australian Diving Team, fr the platfrm event, all dives must be ff the 10 metre platfrm. N feet first entries are allwed in the 1 Metre r 3 Metre events fr men r wmen. Fr the Platfrm events fr men r wmen, feet first entries are permitted. Unless the apprval f the DA Selectin Cmmittee and the Synchrnised Diving Panel is btained 4 weeks prir t the cmmencement f the 2016 Australian Open Champinships, athletes must cmpete in an individual event t be eligible t cmpete in the synchrnised events. Fr the avidance f dubt, such apprval will nt usually be granted and will nly be cnsidered in exceptinal circumstances and usually nly fr internatinally experienced senir athletes. The DA Selectin Cmmittee may in its discretin cnsider a request by an athlete t cmpete at the Australian Open Champinships where an athlete has nt participated in an event t achieve the qualifying standards r nt achieved the qualifying standards. T be cnsidered, an athlete must apply in writing t the HPM fr cnsideratin by the DA Selectin Cmmittee fur (4) weeks prir t the cmmencement f the Australian Open Champinships.

4 GROUP C - BOYS & GIRLS By s 1 metre springbard Final dives cmprising Girl s 1 metre springbard 4 dives with limit frm different grups + 1 twisting dive + 3 dives withut limit frm different grups as utlined belw 4 dives with limit selected frm different grups: 101B/C 103B/C 201B/C 301B/C 401B/C Of the 4 dives - tw dives shall be tuck dives and tw dives shall be pike dives Fr the Frward and Inward dives, ne dive must be pike and the ther dive must be tuck Fr the Back and Reverse dives, ne dive must be pike and the ther dive must be tuck 1 dive frm the Twisting dives list: 5132D 5231D 5331D 3 dives withut limit frm different grups: Of the 3 dives withut limit - at least ne dive must be frm the Back r Reverse grup. Of the 3 dives withut limit nly ne feet first entry dive is permitted n 1 metre. The dive must be a multiple smersault (minimum f 2 smersaults) r a twisting dive with a minimum f ne twist. (c) The synchrnised event will be ne event fr bys and ne event fr girls cvering all age grups, ie. divers frm A, B r C grups can cmbine t frm a team t cmpete in this event. There will be n platfrm synchrnised events. (d) Athletes must cmpete in an individual event t be eligible t cmpete in the synchrnised event. (e) Divers cmpeting in a NEPP event are nt eligible t cmpete in the Elite Junir synchrnised event. (f) Eligible NEPP divers must be training in a recgnised DA NEPP prgram, r a State based NEPP prgram. If in a State based NEPP prgram, the divers must be endrsed t cmpete by the State High Perfrmance Cach.

9 NOTES AUSTRALIAN AGE CHAMPIONSHIPS: (a) (b) The DA Natinal Age Champinship qualifying standards apply fr qualificatin t cmpete in natinal champinships ONLY. These qualifying standards must be achieved in a NATIONAL EVENT, STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS r STATE ADVERTISED QUALIFYING EVENT. (c) The synchrnised events will be cnducted fr divers 13 years and under, 14/18 years and 19 years and ver n the 3 metre springbard nly. All divers must dive in their apprpriate age grup. N diver may cmpete in an lder age grup. (d) (d) Athletes must cmpete in an individual event t be eligible t cmpete in the synchrnised event. Synchrnised Diving Cnditins fr all age grups each + 2 dives frm 3 different grups. 4. GENERAL NOTES: A cmpetitin calendar year is defined as: the 12 mnth perid prir t the event being cnsidered, but nt including the earlier crrespnding event, eg. if results are being cnsidered frm the 2012 Natinal Champinships (April) and events in the previus 12 mnths it wuld nt include results frm the 2011 Natinal Champinships; the 12 mnth perid prir t the date f a review. The FINA Degree f Difficulties will apply t all Open, Junir and Age Champinships ADDITIONAL RULES REGARDING THE AUSTRALIAN ELITE JUNIOR/AGE PATHWAY (a) (b) (c) (d) A diver may nly cmpete in ne natinal junir event per year, ie. either the Australian Age Champinships r Australian Elite Junir Champinships. A diver may cmpete at the 2016 Australian Elite Junir Champinships n all three bards if they have achieved Natinal Qualifying Pints fr Elite Junir Champinships n a minimum f tw bards. The athlete must cmpete in all three events at the State Qualifying event t be eligible t cmpete n three bards. If a diver cmpetes and qualifies in tw r mre events at a State Qualifying event fr the 2016 Australian Elite Junir Champinships, they are nt eligible t cmpete in the 2016 Australian Age Champinships. An athlete wh participated in the 2014 Australian Elite Junir Champinships and wishes t dive in the 2016 Age Champinships may d s but will be ineligible t cmpete in an Elite Junir Champinships fr a further tw years.
