1 Fd Stall Terms and Cnditins All stalls must cmply with health requirements f the Fd Act and Fd Regulatins 2006 and the Fd Safety Standards supervised by the Ryal Brugh f Windsr & Maidenhead Cuncil. Maidenhead Festival Vlunteers will be mnitring fd stalls during the Festival. Premises fund with inadequate facilities will be requested t cmply. Stallhlders wh refuse t cmply will nt be allwed t perate. Every peratr will need t submit a prpsed stall set up plan fr assessment by ne f the Maidenhead Festival Cmmittee t ensure the site cmplies with the requirements f the Act. They will als need t submit infrmatin n what they prpse t sell during the event. 1. General Health Requirements All fd handlers must prvide prf f frmal qualificatins in their field e.g. Fd Hygiene Certificatin All persns engaged in the preparatin r sale f fd shall: Wear clean and apprpriate clthing Ensure they keep themselves and their wrk area clean Lng hair kept tied back Ensure hands are clean, befre cmmencing r resuming wrk and after visiting a sanitary cnvenience, smking, handling a refuse cntainer, handkerchief r nasal tissue. N smking in any fd stall, van r ther place where fd is t be prepared and/r sld. Fd shall be stred at least 75cm abve the grund fr prtectin frm cntaminatin. All fd is t be prtected frm cntaminatin by dust, flies, vermin, breath r handling: By display in bain maries (where pssible fitted with sliding drs), refrigerated cabinets r behind sneezeprf shields. Fd must be stred within a sealed cabinet, plastic film r fd grade paper r plastic bags r cvered with a fd grade plastic film. Squeeze type dispensers, in cvered cntainers must dispense sauces and ther cndiments. Whle fruit and vegetables are exempt frm this requirement There is a legal requirement that fd vendrs must prvide a fd apprved thermmeter, which is accurate t + r 1 C. This will enable fd vendrs t mnitr fd deliveries, prductin, display and strage. Temperatures Cked fd must be kept at a temperature abve 60C until the time f sale. Bain maries, keep running at a temperature (apprx 80C) this maintains yur fd at 60C. Fd cntaining meat, pultry, fish, eggs, dairy prducts r ptentially hazardus fd must be stred at belw 5C. Frzen fd must be stred at belw 15C. Meat and seafd t be kept iced dwn n trays r in eskies, when waiting use in the kitchen. 2. Remember: Keep it ht r keep it cld, r dn t keep it at all. Cked fds shuld be stred fr n lnger than 4 hurs Use tngs r suitable implements fr the serving r cking f fds. Fd stalls r vans are nt be used fr sleeping purpses r t stre bedding, clthing r animals. N raw timber is permitted in fd preparatin areas. (i.e. benches, cutting bards, wden spns) Prtectin must be prvided fr the public against deep fryers barbecue plates and ht fd displays. Direct heat cking appliances must be suitably shielded All fd displayed must be cvered frm direct sunlight.

Pre packaged Fds (Including fds such as cakes, biscuits, cnfectinery and jams that are wrapped, sealed r packaged). Fds such as such as these can be sld subject t the fllwing: Prepared in licensed fd premises. (Prf f such license is t be frwarded t the Maidenhead Festival Cmmittee 21 days prir t the cmmencement f the Festival).

3 PART 2: MAIDENHEAD FESTIVAL REQUIREMENTS Applicatin Clsing Date Clsing date fr applicatins is 2pm n 28 th February Applicants will be ntified via if they have been successful r nt. Supprt Material All supprt material must received n later than 28 th February 2018 and must include the fllwing: Phtgraphs f yur stall in peratin Cpy f current Public Liability Insurance Certificate fr festival perid. Cpy f Fd Hygiene Certificates fr yur staff Evidence f Fd Hygiene Rating Gas safety Certificate Electrical Inspectin Certificate Evidence f Due Diligence System Payment Fd Pitches cst 150 per single unit fr the whle weekend. Payment in full must be received n later than Friday 7 th April 2018 by direct debit Bank: Natwest Srt cde: Accunt n: Accunt name: Maidenhead Festival Ref: [Payee s t qute reference e.g. Name f yur stall r business) Yur applicatin will be terminated if payment has nt been received by the due date. Cancellatin If the stallhlder wishes t cancel this cntract mre than 60 days prir t the Festival the Maidenhead Festival Cmmittee may retain 50% f the ttal site fee. Any cancellatins after this date will nt be refunded. Parking There is a free parking facility at Hines Meadw Car Park fr all stall hlders and their staff, as cars are nt allwed t stay nsite unless they frm part f yur unit. Festival rganisers will issue yu with a number f car parking passes fr the duratin f the weekend. Plastic Bags We are aiming fr a plastic bag free festival. Please NO PLASTIC BAGS. Insurance 2,000,000 Public liability insurance is cmpulsry fr all stallhlders. Vehicles During the setting up perid: Stallhlders are nly permitted t have ne vehicle nsite All vehicles must be mved frm site by 9.30am, unless they frm part f yur fd stall. WE ARE SERIOUS ABOUT SAFETY! Any stallhlder r staff member fund driving a vehicle n site between 9.30am and 6pm will be escrted ff site. This will be cnsidered grunds fr frfeit f yur depsit.

4 Trading Hurs Fd Stall hlders will be expected t perate thrughut the entire Festival minimum hurs 10am 10.30pm n Saturday and 11am t 9.30pm n Sunday. Subletting Fd stall hlders shall nt be entitled t assign, share r sublet all r part f their site withut prir written cnsent frm the Festival rganisers. Right f Vet The Organisers f the Festival retain the right t enter upn the site f any fd stall at any time and remve any article, sign, picture r printed matter which, in ur pinin, is either nt eligible fr display r is cnsidered ffensive. Pre recrded Amplified Music Use f amplifiers r lud speakers, including CD r MP3 players, by stallhlders is prhibited. Stall Presentatin Maidenhead Festival rganisers will reject any stall that we cnsider t be dirty r nt up t standard. All stallhlders must keep within the space f their stall. N freestanding adverts r signs are allwed. Rubbish & Recycling Each stall hlder is respnsible fr their wn waste dispsal All litter must be taken hme and nt left nsite r put in the bins arund the park. Any rubbish left behind r depsited in the bins will ccur a fine f 25. The Stalls Manager will inspect yur site befre yu leave the Festival. First Aid Kit Fd stalls must have a suitable First Aid Kit available fr staff use. Fire Extinguisher / Fire Blanket T cmply with the Fire and Rescue Service Act 1990 and the Building Fire Safety Regulatin 1991, fd utlets must have at least a 20B (E) Dry Chemical (r equivalent) fire extinguisher. Any fd vendrs using a deep fryer must have a 40B(E) Dry Chemical Pwder (r equivalent) fire extinguisher. All stalls must have a Fire Blanket. All equipment must have a current test tag. Hazardus Substances There are substances that may be used in a fd stall that are cnsidered hazardus. The mst cmmn are LPG gas, Spray and Wipe, dishwashing detergent, hand sanitiser and cking il. If yu stre r use hazardus substances yu need t: Make sure all chemical cntainers have a label n them that clearly identifies what they are and the main safety infrmatin abut the chemical (eg 'Flammable'; 'Txic if swallwed'; 'Avid cntact with skin'). D nt use ld drink r fd cntainers t stre chemicals D a written risk assessment fr all hazardus substances t help yu figure ut hw yu can use the chemical safely. It is a gd idea t keep that written risk assessment nsite. Put in place thse things yu decide t d in yur risk assessment t make using the chemical safer. Train peple wh have t use the chemical in hw t use it safely. Cleaning Fluids Only bidegradable eclgically sund detergents and cleaning fluids will be permitted fr use.

5 Water: Please nte there is n nsite water supply, yu will need t bring enugh with yu fr the weekend. Handwashing facilities: All fd vendrs must have clean running water handwashing facilities within their stalls t maintain hygiene. Electrical Requirements There is n n site electricity supply and petrl generatrs are nt permitted. Yu are permitted t use diesel generatrs nly. Gas Requirements Please ensure that yur stall cmplies with the fllwing gas regulatins as set ut by the Gas Safety Regulatins befre yu arrive nsite. All gas systems t be used at the Festival are required t be cmpliant with the related standards and legislatin. Gas cylinders must be installed n a firm nn cmbustible base and be chained t an independent supprt. Yu system must have a pressure test pint. The maximum length f any flexible hse fr a cmmercial elevated appliance is 1.2m N gas cylinder with a capacity abve 4.5kg is t be installed in a tent r building. Gas cylinders are t be lcated in a clearly accessible lcatin with n hindrance t the inspectr. Appliances are nt t be near flammable materials r vapurs. Allw 1.5 metre distance. If yur appliance is near the wall f a marquee r a refrigeratr yu will need t use fireprf material (e.g. Fibr) between the appliance and the wall. Ring burners must have a fire resistant material under them at least 6mm thick. Fr safety reasns gas cylinders abve 9kg (20lbs) may nly be transprted n site by the QFF Cntractr. If yu are transprting yur wn 9kg gas bttles nly ne per vehicle. All gas systems t be used at the Festival are required t be cmpliant with the related standards and legislatin. All gas appliances are t be an apprved appliance under the Queensland legislatin and have A.G.A. r Q.G.A apprval. Yu will nt be able t use appliances certified fr utdr use indrs and visa versa. All mbile catering vans must have a Gas System Cmpliance Certificate n lder than 12 mnths issued fr them and be cmpliant fr cmmercial purpses. Gas systems fitted up n site must be cmpleted by a licensed persn and a new Gas System Cmpliance Certificate issued fr that gas system fr the perid f the event. Any nn cmpliant gas systems identified by Inspectrs will be shut dwn until rectified by a licensed persn. Smking We d nt expect fd stall peratrs t smke within the vicinity f their stall Alchl The festival is an alchl free zne, it cannt be sld r cnsumed within the park. Any stall hlder fund t be cnsuming alchl will be asked t leave immediately.
