3 SITE REQUIREMENTS The purpse f this dcument is t prvide the custmer with requirements that need t be met t ensure the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System will be prperly installed. Applicable Dcuments ADVANTAGE PLUS Endscpe List and Operatr ID Frm (PN ) ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru User Manual (PN ) It is the respnsibility f the custmer t meet these requirements t ensure prper installatin f the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System. It is the respnsibility f the custmer t prvide qualified persnnel t prvide the facility cnnectins fr the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System t the building supply (Water, Electrical, Drain, Air and Netwrk/Internet) during the installatin prcess. Medivatrs will make the physical cnnectins between the facility cnnectins and the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System. Any deviatin frm these specificatins may cause peratinal issues that wuld nt be cvered by the Warranty. Wall Preparatin Refer t the included installatin diagram. Wall pening: 1. 1 reprcessr: 1340mm wide x 2025mm high 2. 2 reprcessrs: 2655mm wide x 2025mm high 3. 3 reprcessrs: 3970mm wide x 2025mm high 4. 4 reprcessrs: 5285mm wide x 2025mm high The wall pening can remain rugh, a trim kit will be installed t finish and seal the pening nce the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru is installed. The trim extends 63mm frm the sides and tp f the reprcessr. The interface between the wall pening and the flr must nt have a cve r fillet. Optimal wall thickness is 125mm t 155mm. The facility cnnectins are made inside the wall, access panels (facility supplied) will be required t prvide access t these cnnectins. The facility cnnectins must nt be mre than 1000mm abve the tp f the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass- Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System. The facility cnnectins are divided int three grups: 1. Water and Air 2. Electrical 3. Netwrk and Ventilatin 3

4 Three access hles in the underside f the wall are required t make the cnnectins between the facility and the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System. Access hles need t be free f sharp edges. See the attached installatin diagram fr the measurements. Flr The flr must be level t allw fr the prper leveling and sealing f the reprcessr. IMPORTANT D nt place reprcessr n surfaces which culd cause a fire r fumes if ht items fall frm the reprcessr. Water Supply Facility supplied cnnectin, 3/4 G male r 1/2 NPT female with a shutff valve and pressure gauge lcated in the wall behind an access panel. The supplied water must meet these requirements: Ptable water is the minimum standard, RO water is preferred. The incming water needs t be filtered t 1 micrn. A water pressure f 2 t 6 bar is required, with a minimum dynamic pressure f 2 bar at 5L/min flw. A minimum flw rate f 5 L/min is required. The incming waterline must be a minimum f 13 mm ID. Disinfectant water temperature requirements: RAPICIDE PA 30 : 35 C ± 2ºC, RAPICIDE PA 20 : 25 C ± 2ºC, ADASPOR SS: 25 C ± 2ºC The water supply must be able t prvide an n-demand water temperature t meet the requirements fr the disinfectant chemistry used. A thermstatic mixing valve (TMV) r an inline heater may be needed t supply the required water temperature. Water cnsumptin is apprximately 30 liters/cycle fr a standard endscpe disinfectin cycle, 43 liters/cycle fr an endscpe disinfectin cycle with a detergent wash, and 57 liters/cycle fr an endscpe disinfectin cycle with tw detergent washes. Water cnsumptin fr the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System will vary depending n the incming water temperatures. The reprcessr will extend the initial flush t allw the water t cme up t temperature t meet the minimum required temperature f the disinfectant. Ensure water hardness is less than 200 ppm CaCO3 (200 mg/l CaCO3) fr ptimal perfrmance. T meet CFPP requirements, water hardness shuld nt exceed 50 ppm CaCO3 (50 mg/l CaCO3) and have a chlride cncentratin f less than 10 mg/l. When using ptable water, t cmply with EN 1717 a break tank with a type AA r AB air gap needs t be placed in the water supply befre the device and its filters. The Medivatrs endscpe reprcessrs d nt require backflw prtectin fr the incming water supply, nr is a backflw prtectin device installed in the reprcessr. If building r plumbing cdes require backflw prtectin, then please cnsult yur lcal cdes, standards and/r guidelines, fr applicable requirements. 4

5 Drain The drain must be lcated in the flr in the lcatin indicated in the installatin diagram. The drain system must be capable f draining 40 L/min. Facility supplied cnnectin, a flush flr drain with a minimum diameter f 100mm. Air Supply Facility supplied cnnectin, 1/4 NPT female with a shutff valve and pressure gauge lcated in the wall behind an access panel. The supplied cmpressed air must meet these requirements: 4 t 10 bar with a minimum flw vlume f 0.71 L/s Filtered t 5 micrns The maximum dew pint is 7 C The maximum il cncentratin is 5 mg/m 3 Electrical Supply 230 VAC ± 10%, single phase, 50 Hz, 1800 watts Facility supplied cnnectin, a RCD prtected CEE 7 utlet lcated in the wall behind an access panel. Fr ther cuntry specific electrical requirements cntact Medivatrs. Pwer cnsumptin: 270 watts at idle, 720 watts during a cycle in ne basin, 1080 watts during a cycle in bth basins, and a nminal peak f 1800 watts. Heat Lad Idle: 270 watts (900 BTU/hr) Cycle (1 basin): 720 watts (2400 BTU/hr) Cycle (2 basins): 1080 watts (3600 BTU/hr) Ventilatin It is the custmer s respnsibility t ensure the rm is in cmpliance with this requirement. This is nt a requirement f the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System but f the chemicals that are used fr disinfectin. It is a health and safety requirement t have a minimum f 10 air changes per hur in the rm. During cycle peratin and the chemical heating prcess, chemical vapr may be prduced. The air exchange will minimize staff expsure t chemical vaprs. Facility supplied cnnectin, a 100 mm rund duct r 110mm x 54mm duct lcated in the wall behind an access panel. A minimum f 12 L/s at 62 PA static pressure is required t prperly vent the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System. 5

6 Netwrk Facility supplied cnnectin, RJ45 receptacle lcated in the wall behind an access panel. The ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System is equipped with a PC based cmputer running Windws 7 which will allw full netwrking alng with the capability f remte diagnstics. T allw fr remte diagnstics an internet cnnectin is required. This is highly recmmended. Dimensins The physical dimensins are 1316mm Wide x 2000mm High x 792mm Deep. The weight is 400 kgs. Endscpe & User Infrmatin T ensure a smth and truble-free installatin, the custmer must supply a cmplete list f users and endscpes that will be reprcessed in the ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System. Fill ut the ADVANTAGE Endscpe List & Operatr ID frm (PN ). The included checklist shuld be utilized t ensure the installatin site meets the required specificatins. If all specificatins are met, the site is suitable fr the installatin and use f the MEDIVATORS ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Endscpe Reprcessing System. 6
