These events are not compulsory. Winter Season Almanac Winter Season Almanacs are available on the website or at the front desk. Club Costumes We have a small stock of club costumes, so if you like the look of the Club costume you may be lucky enough to be able to buy one. Listed below are the sizes we have and the prices. Girls Costumes - $65.00 Sizes 8, 10 & 12 Boys Costumes - $42.00 Sizes 8, 10 & 12 See Pat at the front desk if you would like to buy one of these costumes. Summer Season Presentation Night Will be held next Saturday 26 May 2018 at Club Rivers, Littleton St, Riverwood starting at 6.30pm. It is a great to see that most families are attending. Looking forward to a great night. Club Captains After taking nominations for Club Captain over recent weeks,

2 Nominations were unanimous for 2 swimmers making voting unnecessary. The Winter Season Club Captains will be announced next week at Presentation night. AGM of Peakhurst ASC The 57th AGM of Peakhurst ASC will be held on Wednesday night 30 May 2018 at 7.30pm and a light supper will be served at the conclusion of the meeting. This meeting is open to all past and present Life Members, Committee Members, Swimmers and Parents. All positions will be declared vacant at the AGM before these positions are then refilled for the coming year. If any of our current committee members will not be in a position to continue in their present role next year please let David Goff know so that an appropriate replacement can be found. Attached to the back of this newsletter is the Notice of AGM 2018 papers. Please let David or Robin know if you will be attending this AGM so that catering arrangements can be confirmed with the Club. Positions Vacant After years of faithful service two of our committee members have decided to resign their positions as at the AGM on 30 May We thank these members for their dedication and hard work towards the running of our Club. These positions are vital to the running of our Club and we ask all our members and parents if they would consider taking on one of these committee positions. We will be looking for a Secretary and Marshal. Secretary Position The Club Secretary is required to attend meetings, put an agenda together for each meeting, type up the minutes and correspondence prior to each meeting and take the minutes. Also to assist other committee members as required. No experience required full training will be given. Marshal Position This position requires an enthusiastic mum or dad to organise our swimmers into their events each week. This position entails no work that has to be carried out at home it is purely a Saturday afternoon job at Club. If anyone would like further information regarding these positions please see David Goff, President who can give you all the necessary information. These positions and all others will be vacated prior to the election of new members and must be filled at our AGM so please consider taking on one of these roles and join our very happy committee. Junior Dolphin Training Squad Our training squads are well under way and the classes are bursting at the seams, it has become extremely urgent that we get some new instructors. If some members don t come forward to help with these classes they will be forced to close down. Please see Kaitlin or Pat for information on how to come along and help out. Any of our swimmers can join the training sessions for only $3.00 per swimmer. Fees for Winter Season Registration for Winter Season is now open via our website. New Members use the Join Now button on the right hand side of the front page of our website. Returning Members use the MyLane button on the top

3 left hand side of the front page of our Website. Returning Members who only took out 6mth registration and need to pay for Winter Season please contact Grant so he can update your membership type before you make a payment. His mobile number is Send him a text message and he will update your details then send you a message to let you know that you are now able to pay your fees. When registering you will only be able to register and pay for Winter Season Only. All registrations are to be done online. No money will be taken at the front desk. Next week we will have a firm date. Keep an eye out for details. Swim Coats If anyone is interested in ordering a Swim Coat, please see Allison Reus (McInerney). She is ordering coats for her kids and if anyone else would like to buy one of these coats she is happy to add to her order. If Allison can get orders for 10 or more prices are as below:- Children, $ Adults, small extra large - $ Please see Allison if you are interested. She will be ordering in the next few weeks so talk to her today. This is to ensure all our swimmers are covered by insurance in case of an accident. Junior Sprint Meet Our annual Junior Sprint Meet Carnival for 12yrs & Under swimmers is tomorrow. George is still looking for some helpers. Please come forward and volunteer to help us out. Please remember to bring in some food to help feed our hungry volunteers. Something that can easily be eaten with fingers, nothing too messy. Joke of the Week Q: Why was the bee s hair sticky? A: Because he used a honeycomb!!
