Technical Officials Announced for Gold Coast 2018 Congratulations to the team of NSW Technical Officials who have been appointed for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. The TO's from NSW include our very own Cherry Smith (Referee), Kenneth Jones, Jannine Fathers, John Hart, Philip Jobling, Nick Keith, Faye Lewis, John Rohloff, Neil Rogers, David Cooper and Pamela Weste. Cherry has been part of our Club since 1992 when her children joined the Club. Cherry began timekeeping and advanced to other technical official positions including Referee. Cherry also held many committee positions during her time with the Club and she still holds the positions of Patron and Referee. She then landed her dream job with Swimming NSW where she could continue advancing her technical official skills and has secured many refereeing roles at both Australian and International Swim Meets. Congratulations Cherry, we will all be keeping an eye out for you on the pool deck during the upcoming Commonwealth Games. Summer Season Almanac The Summer Almanac can be picked up from the front desk or can be found on the website. Please take note of the Swimming NSW Considerations Policy on Page 2. 2 Junior Dolphin Training Squad Our Junior Dolphin Training is a great place for your children to improve the swimming skills. For only $3.00 you can join in. Classes begin at 2.00pm and are open to all our registered members. Please see Kaitlin Ede or Pat Lusty for further information. Winter Presentation Winter Presentation will be held after club today in the school hall starting at 6.00pm. At the conclusion of the presentation we will enjoy a delicious bbq before dancing the night away at the disco. Many thanks to the families that have brought in all those yummy dessert items. Looking forward to a great night. Club Costumes With the beginning of a new season we have decided to see if we can get enough people interested in the club costume so we can place an order. Prices are as follows:- Female Costumes Male Costumes Girls 6-12 $65.00 Boys 6-14 $42.00 Ladies 8-14 $75.00 Mens $47.00 Ladies $80.00 Please put your name on the list at the front desk if you are interested in ordering a club costume. Movie Afternoon The movie afternoon will be going ahead in January at Events Cinema Hurstville. We will be attending the movie Paddington which comes out on 21 December 2017, as this is very close to Christmas we will attend an afternoon session in mid January Will organise a firm date closer to the end of the year. Perpetual Trophies Anyone still holding a perpetual trophy from Summer Season can you return them in the next few weeks so they can be put on permanent display in the trophy cabinet. Music Quiz Night On Saturday night we will be hosting a Music trivia/quiz night in the school hall. Everyone loves music so this is a chance to test your knowledge on all things music. Get your table organised now, you will need a variety of ages to identify all years and genres of music. There will be something for everyone. Cost will be $5.00 per person capped at $20.00 per family. Supper will be provided. BYO drinks and nibbles. Come along and enjoy a fun night out for all the family. Fees Summer Season Membership fees for Summer Season 2017/18 will be:- 12 month registration - $ for the first family member and $ for each subsequent family member. Summer Season only - $ for the first family member and $ for each subsequent family member. Junior Dolphin Program - Free for all swimmers aged 7yrs and under. Second Claim Members - $50.00 for the first family member and $40.00 for each subsequent family member.

3 These fees must be paid by the 2nd week your child swims at Club, this is to ensure they are covered by insurance in the event of an accident. PASC Mini Meet We will be holding our Mini Meet Carnival on Saturday , warm up 1.00pm, carnival starts 1.30pm. This is a great carnival for 10yrs & under swimmers. Entries are now open through our website and close On the day we will require many helpers with jobs such as - marshalling, time keeping, recording, bbq (both cooking and selling). We will also require help setting up prior to the commencement of the carnival. We ask our parents and senior swimmers to help us out on the day. It is a small carnival so we only need your assistance in the afternoon. This is a great carnival to get your child into carnival swimming and what better way to do it than at your own carnival. Also on the day we will ask that the families attending the carnival bring in a plate of food to help feed our hungry volunteers. swimming member of the Club first.
